I gave them asking price for their car and they gave me asking price for my trade. The salesman did not know what oil type was used in the Charger. He was polite and helpful, but still pulled a few shark tactics to sweeten the deal. Luckily, I know how the whole process works. I was direct and upfront about my knowledge in buying cars, but he still attempted to run my credit and was dishonest about the credit application not doing a "hard inquiry". I knew that it would lower my score, so I refused their offer to finance with them. Hours after I bought the car, I noticed that the rear window glass was hazy and the heating element strips were scratched off in several spots. They should have known through their service department that the scratched glass was not able to be replaced under warranty, and that would have saved me 2 months of driving in an unsafe vehicle. The window should have been replaced before it was listed for sale anyway. The service manager initially told me that he would only pay up to $400 for the window, until I argued with him that it is a safety issue and that I would contact the proper channels. They did not do a very good job at hiding the broken vent in the dash. They did replace the window after I got them an estimate. That took longer because they were not clear on whether or not I would receive the check or if the glass repair shop would. It took an extra 3 weeks to get my registration from DMV because the clerks at Tate did not have my SSN. I played a lot of phone tag with this store and THEY played a lot of the blame game with each other. I feel that I got a good deal overall, but the process itself was annoying enough to make me decline repeating business with Tate dealers. I would look elsewhere if you don't enjoy having your teeth pulled.. More
Used Car Sales - STEER CLEAR My daughter purchased her first car on her own from the Used Car Sales at Tate. The entire experience was awful. From cars that wouldn't start, to sales staff who were clueless to the entire process. She had a broken touchscreen in the Jeep she purchased - Wetzel told her one to two day repair so we went on with the purchase (he also told her they'd give her a loaner car). We took the Jeep in for replacement and to date, its been there 3 weeks! And they tried to bill her for the loaner car. Wetzel won't return calls, Paul said there is nothing he can do "What do you want me to do?". So, she's losing her used car warranty as we speak because its been sitting in the shop. We wouldn't have taken possession of the vehicle had we known. Paul told me its because she declined to purchase the extended warranty? Really? So, we'd be treated better had we purchased that? Just a nightmare!!! Calling the GM of the NEW CAR SALES, see if I can get anywhere. More

I did an online inquiry with them concerning the Town & Country. Rick responded quickly and setup an appointment for me to view and test drive the car. My fiance and I went to view/test drive and the car today and was thoroughly impressed with Tate. The minivan was as advertised and the price was excellent compared to the other minivans I had shopped online. Tate's finance manager quickly gave me several finance options to choose from and I ended up paying a little less monthly than I had expected. I would highly recommend their dealership to my friends and family. Rick and their whole staff were very straight forward, friendly and helpful. Rick even allowed my fiance to change my son's diaper in their office! I had an excellent experience with them and would gladly buy from then again! More
Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit The sales person, Brian, was very knowledgeable and did not pressure us. He took a lot of time to explain the vehicle. Would buy from here again. Stay away! Sales person (RJ) spent the first interaction and didn't introduce himself. He left the desk three times - didn't excuse himself at all. Rude. In thei Sales person (RJ) spent the first interaction and didn't introduce himself. He left the desk three times - didn't excuse himself at all. Rude. In their defense, the deal worked was pretty good, however, I was away and couldn't bring my trade until the following week. Upon returning the we're going to do the same deal but the trade was $1000 less. Luckily I saved his voicemail because he said it was the same amount. Still really wanted the car and was just going to do it. Got two follow up voicemails from RJ basically saying that last chance because someone is coming in to buy it and there is "nothing like it for 300 miles." Well 300 miles is really 30 because found same car, with more options, The incentives were better, and they gave $2600 more for my trade. What's even better - it was the same wholesaler who took my trade, that Tate said would give $1000 less !!! Stay clear!! Very dishonest!! More

Fred, Paul, and Dave. Now, you'd think it couldn't get any better? That's where Fred, the Manager, jumped in. I had a small electrical issue, he had it fixed immediately, if not sooner. I would recommend these guys to my mother. Used car prices are down right now. Give them a chance to make you as happy as they did for me. More
Nice Sales Staff, Terrible Support We recently purchased a used Jeep Wrangler from here and our salesman was super helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the transaction became much less We recently purchased a used Jeep Wrangler from here and our salesman was super helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the transaction became much less pleasant when it came time to negotiate a price and do the actual paperwork to purchase the vehicle. The Sales Manager was very rude to my husband and I, consistently acting like talking to us was an inconvenience. Once we finally got the deal worked out and purchased the Jeep, our bank informed us that the title paperwork had been submitted incorrectly by the staff at Tate. I had to drive out to the dealership twice to get the paperwork returned to them, and more than four weeks have passed and Tate STILL has not corrected their error. Not worth doing business with, ever! More
Made to replace more expensive part unnecessarily So I wasn't going to put this here but I have made multiple attempts to speak with upper management and have been told someone would call or email me So I wasn't going to put this here but I have made multiple attempts to speak with upper management and have been told someone would call or email me and so far nothing..... I took my car into Tate 3 months in a row for the same exact problem, battery kept dying. Every time I went in it was something different that was "wrong". In February I spent over $230 to have a battery replaced then in March took it back for the same issue and they said the alternator needed to be replaced another $100 because it was cover under my warranty luckily but still same problem as it died on their lot over night for 3 days in a row. I am then told that my horn switch is bad and that they took out the fuse to stop the horn from blowing but that only thing that may be affected is my remote start, I thought okay no big deal because the part they were saying was the problem now was being qutoted at $823! I'm a single mother on one income so I picked up my car and spent the next month depending on people for jump starts while I saved up for this expensive part. By the start of April I purchase the part and install it on my own and within 4 hours the battery is dead again! Take it back the next day and by Friday (a day later) they call to tell me that it was the horn switch staying engaged keeping my gauge cluster on and draining my battery. I asked what about this $700 part I just replaced and the guy said about how they found a screw in a wire of the old one..... Well even with replacing it all the old wires are still there so how was that the issue? The guy told me he would have to talk to the service advisor that I was originally working with but has never contacted me back. I have requested to speak to who ever is above the service manager but no one will give me the persons name or information, now I feel as if I was taken advantage of because I was never told the horn switch could be causing the problem, the advisor immediately went to the more expensive part. Horn switch estimate was only $139. That would have been something I could have done right away and not had to put off for a month while I saved up the $800. I feel my next step will be to file a complaint with Consumer Affairs because that $800 should never have needed to be spent had I been told to at least try the horn switch first. More
