My daughter brought my car in for sheduled 8 am appointment for a re call on the air bag replacement. We didn't get the car back until after 2pm. I called my daughter @ 12pm and asked her if th appointment for a re call on the air bag replacement. We didn't get the car back until after 2pm. I called my daughter @ 12pm and asked her if they had finished. She said someone told her that it was a first come first serve basis (why did I shedule for 8am then). I called up there and they said that they had to find the vehicle, they would call me back. No one ever did, however they called my daughter and said that they may have the car a bit longer. I stopped by the dealership. Worst customer service experience. There were to gentleman in the service office and they never acknowledged me standing there. They looked at me and never asked if I may need help. They sawed when I walked through the door. I called to make a complaint Friday and the service manager did reach out to me promptly. I talked to the service manager yesterday and explained what happened only for him to defend the men by saying that they were probably busy and that they are ranked the best in the area. I told him that they were not busy and I didn't receive any acknowledgement. There was one young man who came from the back and did ask if I had been helped. I appreciate him and told him that I appreciate the good customer service because the other 2 men did not utter a word to me. I am new to the area and trying to find a good respectful and reliable place to get my vehicle serviced when needed. They have lost a potential customer just merely off of 1st impressions which was not good. From the reaction that I got from the manager, nothing will change and my 2 cents doesn't matter. More
Worst service dept ever. Took my 2020 Powerwagon in 7/2021 for the advertised $75 oil change. After arriving at my appt. it turns out the the $75 was only if I spent a total of $150 on 2 oil change - 2nd to be used within one year. I already made the appointment and was there to I felt stuck to spend another $75. So fast forward to 7/2022. My truck had an insurance claim and was in another dealer for an estimate. After I got my truck back, I called Tate and explained that I was 10 days outside of this "year" for my second oil change because my truck was in the shop. Tate's response was that "we do not do charity work" but that they would do me a favor and sell me an oil change for "half price" of $75. So Tate had my money for a year, never provided any notice that the "year" was up and then refused service of an oil change - due to no fault of my own. I called up RAM customer service and explained the situation. They gave me 2 free oil changes. This is how customer service is done - Tate obviously does not know about customer service. I have purchased vehicles in the past from Tate and had them service my vehicles. NEVER AGAIN - I do not need their "charity work". More
By far the worst serve department for Jeep's. Never take your Jeep to Tate Service department. They never provide the correct service and their service manager "Jim' is terrible at customer service. Twice your Jeep to Tate Service department. They never provide the correct service and their service manager "Jim' is terrible at customer service. Twice I had problems with their service department and once while I needed service on my car they crashed my car and had to do auto body work. I never had an accident in my car. Stay away please. Rick Moffett, our Salesman, and the other Tate Staff, made our vehicle purchasing experience very easy. No pressure or any high stakes antics were used during our two visits to the dealership. made our vehicle purchasing experience very easy. I bought a truck from them, but let me say this is one of the greedy dealerships with no morales and values. The truck I bought is very limited right now and its back up at the factory due to COVID. So som the greedy dealerships with no morales and values. The truck I bought is very limited right now and its back up at the factory due to COVID. So some dealerships are taking advantage of consumers and are being greedy. Unfortunately, I asked to pay MSRP but they refused! They told me the owners would not budge and I would have to pay the 5k mark up. Which is ridiculous! So just be aware. This dealership is a dealership is greedy, take advantage of their consumers and has no morales! Of course they wait to tell me about the 5k mark until I was about 5 minutes from the dealership, not when I called them in morning. The mark up wasn’t even on their website. More

I spoke with a Sales person by the name of Jason on August 7, 2020. I told him I was interested in one of the cars at another Tate dealership and, if he could transport the car to his dealership. He to August 7, 2020. I told him I was interested in one of the cars at another Tate dealership and, if he could transport the car to his dealership. He told me he would get back to me. That call never happened. I called the dealership on August 13, 2020 I spoke with the sales sales manager Mark, and told him what happened he basically made a lame explanation as to why Jason didn’t call me back. Which was he went on vacation on Saturday. I called him on a Friday in the morning.I then proceeded to tell Mark that’s not how business should be conducted. He again said basically it was in his words “water under the bridge”. I told him I’m sorry to hear that, and I would be going somewhere else. I can’t tell anyone to not go there because, I have no idea what an experience would’ve been if I had. I can only share my first hand experience initially with them. More
Jason L. and Tate in Frederick completely changed my view on dealerships. I had lost faith in dealerships after a horrible experience at Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie Md. I had a signed contract for a vehicle on dealerships. I had lost faith in dealerships after a horrible experience at Ourisman Chevrolet in Bowie Md. I had a signed contract for a vehicle but they sold it to someone else because I didn't use their financing. They were to put new tires on the suburban and I was picking it up 4 days later...but they sold it to someone else. So when I went to Tate I wasn't expecting anything good. I called Tate and told them I was interested in a suburban they had. Jason held the vehicle for me since I was an hour away. He was not pushy at all and really made my wife and I relaxed about buying a car. He was very easy to work with when it came to pricing and any issues we had with the suburban. You can tell he is a very genuine person that really cares about customer service. I highly recommend anyone looking to buy a car to call Tate in Frederick and ask for Jason. After making a deal with Jason we were waiting to sit with financing and the manager came over and offered to buy my pregnant wife something from the vending machine since it was around lunch. The whole experience didn't stop there....the Financing guy was so easy to work with and really looked out for OUR finances. He pointed us in the right direction making sure we didn't add any additional unnecessary costs. Thank you Jason and thank you Tate for a great car buying experience! More
Sold the car from under my feet Jason was extremely unprofessional. I made a verbal agreement to buy a car from Tate and it needed a few repairs (new side reflector and a ball joint in the engine). Jason said it would take about a week. I called him a week later to ask about the car and he said it was still in the shop. The next day, I receive an email from him stating his manager had sold the car to someone else. The lack of communication within Tate astounds me and the lack of character on Jason's and his managers part left me without a car and cost me a week of searching for other cars. If you want to deal with an honest business, please do not consider Tate or Jason. More
