I am a happy owner of a VW Rabbit which I purchased from Lash VW recently. This is my 5th VW and I have dealt with numerous VW dealerships. However, I must say that I really enjoyed my shopping experience w Lash VW recently. This is my 5th VW and I have dealt with numerous VW dealerships. However, I must say that I really enjoyed my shopping experience with Lester at Lash VW. Lester was courteous and responsive to all my inquiries during the buying process and provided me with detailed information on the pricing and vehicle options as well as available programs for my purchase. I arrived almost 2 hours late at the dealership on the day of delivery because I had an unexpected Court appearance for a client. When I finally showed up about 15 minutes before the close of business, Lester was not only understanding about the unforseen delay, which I did alert him earlier in the day, but was also very patient in explaining all the features of my car to me. He did not rush the delivery because it was almost 45 minutes past the time he was to leave work. I found out from the Finance Dept. personnel, who was also courteous and pleasant, that Lester had taken the time to double check all the documents while waiting for my arrival to make sure "my deal" was correctly reflected to avoid further delay by having to revise the documentation during the delivery process. With all the horror stories about car dealerships and salespeople going around,I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and courtesy of the people at Lash Volkswagen. No one gave me any death looks or grimaced even though I kept them from going home on a rainy Friday evening. What impresses me most is that customer service did not end after I picked up my car. Lester called me about a week later to make sure that I was happy with my purchase and offered to answer any further questions I might have about my car. This type of follow-up by a salesperson is a new experience for me. Thanks to Lester's expertise on the products, courtesy and endless patience (I can be very inquisitive), I am confident that I had bought the vehicle that best suited my needs (and wallet). More
I have tried to order touch-up paint 3 times from them and somehow they always loose my order. I went to test drive a car and it was a diesel which was un-prepped and wouldn't start. Had to wait about a h and somehow they always loose my order. I went to test drive a car and it was a diesel which was un-prepped and wouldn't start. Had to wait about a half hour to get gas in the car and then hook it up to a machine to have it be ready to drive... this was with an appointment for a test drive. 2nd test drive was on my own and went much more smoothly - lovely NOT to have a salesmen in the car on a test drive : ) Bottom line I bought my Jetta Sportwagen from Hamilton VW in NJ - a long drive - but well worth it. What does a customer look for when buying a car? Nice What does a customer look for when buying a car? Nice dealing and a nice price. Not every one gives you both and you shop around, and when you get What does a customer look for when buying a car? Nice dealing and a nice price. Not every one gives you both and you shop around, and when you get them both, you sign the deal. I guess every one here agrees to that. But Mr Lester Li thinks he and his thoughts supersede any customers wishes, if you contact him, you need to see him and buy a car from at his price, PERIOD. Any deviations will result in humiliating emails/phone calls/voicemails, and rudeness over phone. He tried to sell me a car which was sold 3 months ago for 16000, for 19000. (red GTI 2009 used). The car has changed three owners, and two of them for 1 month and 15 days. I asked him for a deal, to negotiate the price, he flares up and writes me offensive emails. He could not refute my single argument and hung up the phone. Does he not get it, that it is my money and i can spend it the way i want it to? And on top of that, he states he is trying to show as if he is doing me a favor by trying to "help me". Does he realize he get a paycheck for this service? and its part of his job description?? BEWARE! When you walk in, he will try to be smooth and glib, but all he tells you about the car is technical specification which you can find online. Ask him any other question, he starts stammering!! My advice, go to some other dealer, even if they are giving away cars for free! This is a dealership who thinks customers are their slaves once you contact them or step inside their showroom. And stay away from that RED 2009 GTI. Ask him for CARFAX and ask him about the reason for short durations of ownerships. More
