My husband and I were in the market for a compact luxury SUV which was a present from him to me. Our plan was to test-drive the Q5 – even though my mind was made up to purchase the Volvo XC60 T6. We told Richard that the test drive would only be a sanity check and that we had already test-drove the Mercedes GLK350 and were not impressed. Richard convinced us to just come in drive it before making a final decision. To our pleasant surprise, Richard was courteous, optimistic, and enthusiastic not to mention that he was extremely informative about the Q5. During our test-drive Richard continued to “wow” us with his plethora of knowledge and expertise of the Q5. Once we sat in the Q5, Richard continued educating us and as he mentioned earlier, “the car spoke for itself”. I loved the handling and performance immediately. After test-driving for approximately ½ hour with Richard sitting in the passenger seat pleasantly going over the mechanics, I was sold. If it were not for Richard’s impeccable and knowledgeable salesmanship, and considering that I was sold on the Volvo, we may not have purchased the Audi Q5. Once we returned to his office I told him what my dream color would be, and he found it immediately, including the exact interior seat color. Once we left his office we proceeded to do our due diligence and Richard was correct. The Audi Q5 is far superior to the other compact luxury suv’s. This was my first purchase of an Audi and my first experience with this dealership. It was an extremely pleasant experience and I would recommend Alex (my sales person) and the dealership to anyone l experience with this dealership. He was very straight forward and upfront regarding the car. He was very knowledgeable about the car and tool the time to explain the car's accessories and features. The A6 I purchased had a minor door ding and a damaged sun visor and Alex made sure both were fixed before I picked up the car. I also met the service manager on tour of the dealership which was a nice touch as if we were being welcomed to a family and not just a one time purchaser. Here are two reasons to do so: With Audi considered a “luxury car,” some local dealers seem to have developed a snooty attitude towards their potential customers. I’m not sure what they think such haughtiness accomplishes; maybe they feel some intimidation during negotiations will assist them to sell the car at a higher price. You will not find such silliness when you deal with Alex. He’s straightforward, very helpful and easy to deal with. Mohegan Lake’s service operation is pretty seamless. They always provide me with an Audi loaner and get me in and out of there very quickly. I’ve never had to bring a car back to their service department after I found that the work they did failed to solve the problem. They always solved the problem on the first try. Unfortunately, my experience at other Audi dealers has been very different. If you’re looking for a new or used Audi, be sure to stop by Mohegan Lake and chat with Alex. We have leased from Howard in the past and had a great experience. When we decided to get another Audi, we did not shop elsewhere, but went straight back to Howard. This is my second purchase at this dealership.i loved my first Audi so much that when it was time to replace it i came right back to Mohegan Audi. When I met Alex I told him what I was looking for, he went first Audi so much that when it was time to replace it i came right back to Mohegan Audi. He called me every time a car came in and was patient since I have a very busy schedule and it was hard for me to make it there.
