Not a good experience when I arrived to pick up the car and found that it had not been serviced completely. I was quite happy with the service. There was no haggling to speak of. After I told Joe that I was ready to buy today and didn't want to play games he was quick and forthright. Mr Velez is organized, professional and flexible. I turned in my lease 14 months early to lease a model that is safer to drive in the snow and also because I was 9000 miles over the lease amount. Mr velez accommodated my needs with out a fuss and made the process very smooth. I was not happy about the 595.00 bank fee or the cost of the excess miles or as Mr velez referred to as the "negative equity" (3000$),without these my lease would have been more affordable. My 18 year old daughter had a problems shifting into lower gears with her manual transmission Civic. We decided to check with Tarrytown Honda in the neighboring city and they quoted $800 for the same work. The original Honda dealership that quoted us then changed their quote to $1500 because "we may have made a mistake in our original quote." We decided to have the repairs performed with Tarrytown Honda in the end it was the best decision we ever made! Not only did they do the repairs at the price we were initially quoted the technician found other things wrong with the vehicle that were supposedly repaired at our previous Honda dealer. We are now happy customers of Tarrytown Honda!!!! More
I had bought a new Accord from this dealership which had developed an oil leak. I brought it back to them for repairs, 6 visits later, over a period of 1 year, the vehicle still had the oil leak, until I b developed an oil leak. I brought it back to them for repairs, 6 visits later, over a period of 1 year, the vehicle still had the oil leak, until I brought it to another deater. They treated me as if I was an ignornate fool. I have been working for a repair facility for 20 years and if i ever treated my customers the way they treated me I would be out of a job. The thing that bothers me the most is that American Honda Corp allows a Dealership like this to stay in Business. More
As dishonest as they come. They tried to get me to agree to a loan with a ridiculously high APR for a 7 year old car. I read all of the negative online reviews, and I did not listen. Lesson learned. More
I went in for one thing which I was told would be covered under warranty but I was told it was actually another minor problem with the car which I could have taken to another mechanic and paid tops $150. Twice, the service rep did costly unnecessary maintenance repairs I did not ask for. Both times, when I questioned the bizarre additions to the bill, he said "Oh we talked about that." But the second, I realized this is his line: "Oh, we talked about that." When in fact we didn't. The first time was for a brake fluid flushing. At 4000 miles. Who orders a brake fluid flushing at 4000 miles? The second was a wheel alignment and steering fluid flushing. At 7000 miles. Again, who orders such things? I know I never said any of those words, and I am certain he didn't say them to me. So this is really bad. A desperate attempt for additional charges on a bill, when I was just going in for oil changes every 3000 miles on my brand new Honda, the way my dad always told me to. More
