Went to Direct Toyota and would never step foot on dealership again. Rude, rude employees. Tried Tansky as we have heard good things about them but wasn't sure I wanted to travel that far and am so g dealership again. Rude, rude employees. Tried Tansky as we have heard good things about them but wasn't sure I wanted to travel that far and am so glad I did. Kody was a personable, non pressure sales man. Thoroughly enjoyed working with him, Manager, Kyle, was brought out to talk with us and was plesantly surprised again not to be pressured and to be treated so nicely. Price was very fair and will certainly buy my next car from Tansky. Great people to work with!! More
We were disappointed to take a test drive with a salesperson who spent the majority of the drive on his phone texting from the back seat. He had little to say about the car and when we asked for det salesperson who spent the majority of the drive on his phone texting from the back seat. He had little to say about the car and when we asked for details, he attempted to read (backwards) from the sticker on the passenger side window. When we complained about the sound of the engine after a short highway test drive, he noted that he forgot to mention we may have had the car in the wrong gear, as often happens to people new to the updated gear shift (automatic). Because traffic was so congested, we could not take another test drive. We stayed long enough to get a quote and it was far higher than we were willing to pay. What a disappointment, as Tansky is just around the corner from where we live and we had to drive many miles to another dealer to get the service we expected. More
After a very negative experience with Toyota Direct, My family drove to Tansky. There were were all warmly greeted by Mr. John Henry who took the time to answer all my son's questions as my wife and I look family drove to Tansky. There were were all warmly greeted by Mr. John Henry who took the time to answer all my son's questions as my wife and I looked at the 2010 Yaris. After a test drive we spoke with Mr. Christopher Scott about our trade and the price for the Yaris. Mr. Scott was direct with us regarding the pricing, the value for our trade and took the time to even laugh when my son asked him to lower his voice as he was having trouble hearing the TV show he was watching nearby. Even when we said we wanted to think about it, neither Mr. Scott or Mr. Henry made any last minute deals or try to pressure us into buying right then and there as had happen to me at other dealers. The next day we came back to get the Yaris. This time we worked with Mr. Jordan Fisher who also greeted us warmly and told us that Mr. Henry was off. Mr. Fisher also took the time to help answer all of our questions (including my son's) and helped us as we decided between the 3 door hatch or the 4 door sedan. As we closed the deal, Mr. Scott again worked with us to complete the transaction and to get everything process as smoothly as possible while Mr. Fisher helped to get the car ready for us and then gave us a tour of the dealership so we knew who to contact for our service and parts. When we found a scratch on the car while having the coating put on at the body shop, both Mr. Fisher and Mr. Scott went the extra mile to help correct the situation in a way that worked for everyone. When I took the car in for its 5000 mile service, Mr. Fisher made it a point to come by and check to see how we were liking the car but also to catch up with how me and my family were doing. This meant a lot as it indicated the level of commitment he has to my satisfaction as a customer...even if it was just a Yaris. Its this level of customer service that will bring me back to Tansky for my next car. More
We were commuting to Columbus, Ohio from NY state to the James Cancer Center to participate in a leukemia Clinical Trial when our 2008 Prius began sounding like it was having brake or wheel bearing trouble. James Cancer Center to participate in a leukemia Clinical Trial when our 2008 Prius began sounding like it was having brake or wheel bearing trouble. Our NY dealer could not give us an appointment to even look at the car for several days and we were afraid to make many more 450 mile one way trips with the fear of a breakdown mid way. While at our hotel in Columbus I called Tansky Toyota and was told by Service Dept. scheduler, Courtney to hold while she could try and fit us in. She got us an appointment to check the vehicle the morning of our departure. Courtney was one of the most pleasant and efficient car dealer employee I have ever dealt with. A bad wheel bearing was diagnosed as needing replacement but safe to drive on for another round trip as parts would have to be ordered. Because our own dealer in NY could not service our car in a timely fashion, we scheduled the car to be left off at Tansky's upon our return to Ohio the next week in order to be repaired. My need for transportation to and from the hotel to hospital was graciously supplied by Tansky Toyota with a loaner car, free of charge. The repair was done under warrantee and ready for our return trip to NY in a short time. All around experience could not have been better. Because of the great folks at Tansky we might be buying a newer Prius later this year, as I will be taking cancer treatment at the James Cancer Center for some time to come. My wife and I were both in the market for new cars. As we drove around we found that Tansky was the only dealership that was still open. We were promptly (not rudely) greeted by Jordan who asked if we had an drove around we found that Tansky was the only dealership that was still open. We were promptly (not rudely) greeted by Jordan who asked if we had any questions or just wanted to look around. As we talked with Jordan about what we were looking for, he took us around the lot pointing out cars that we might like. He answered all our questions honestly and when we took a few test drives he went with us. As we all got into the first car he stated, "Pretend that I'm not here, but ask questions if you have them." He did just as he said. After a little polite conversation he sat quietly in the back and let my wife and I discuss the good and the bad of the car that we were riding in. He never interrupted, argued or defended the car we were in. When we were done he asked what we liked and didn't like about the car we had driven. Each car we drove, three in all, he was patient, quiet and respectful of my wife and I. When we had found the car that we wanted Jordan brought us into the offices to start the paperwork. It was at this time that we were introduced to Kyle the manager. Kyle was very helpful in making sure that my wife could afford the car and that her payments fit the budget that she had set. Kyle gave financing options to us and stayed within the payments that my wife said that she could afford. There was never any push to purchase something that she could not afford. Kyle remained respectful throughout the entire process. There was never any pushing or rushing through the entire car buying process. I went back the next day to purchase a truck for myself and specifically asked for Jordan and Kyle to help me. I was treated with as much respect and patience as my wife was shown the night before. Given that we didn't leave the dealership until after 10pm (which is an hour after they close) and I was there bright and early the next day, I was expecting a little grogginess or shortness with the sales staff, but I can happily say that all I got was a good honest welcome back and lots of good help. I would highly recommend working with the people from Tansky. More
I requested price quotes on Corolla, Elantra, Civic, and Sentra from almost all Columbus area dealers over the net, and decided to get a Corolla for low price and reliability. Tansky's was the first to set Sentra from almost all Columbus area dealers over the net, and decided to get a Corolla for low price and reliability. Tansky's was the first to set me a time for visit, and committed to match the quote I got from Germain. Well, there of course was some at the spot haggling still to be done but they eventually did match the price promised, and I was very satisfied with everything. Well, that was before the finance guy kept pushing me to buy this and that for extra for tons of money, and eventually made me swallow the GAP insurance whereas I could have gotten it for so much cheaper from my insurance company. When I picked up the vehicle, everything seemed fine until I checked toyotaownersonline.com and realized that they did not perform the stuck accelerator recall service. So in 2-weeks time, I was back at the dealership, although the service was no hassle. Just out of curiosity, I checked a few other in-stock vehicle VINs randomly and realized that Tansky's simply do not perform the recall on in-stock vehicles!!! Are they nuts? The bottom line is - 1. I recommend Tansky's for the price. Check price first, and they will negotiate as long as you stick to your gun. 2. Do not buy absolutely *anything* extra from the finance department (the guy who does your paperworks). It's all rip-offs. 3. Before taking delivery of the vehicle, check toyotaownersonline.com to make sure that your car doesn't have an open recall. Make them perform the recall before pick-up, if needed. More

Warren stayed after close for an hour explaining all the bells and whistles to my wife and I. Their entire staff was not what I had grown accustomed to at other dealers. Greeted promptly by someone who looks like he just got fired from his job at Chic Filet. Didn't get too far into the Camry I wanted to look at because I actually knew more about the car than he did, espec fired from his job at Chic Filet. He handed me a card but I dropped it on the lot later, WoW ! Way better luck at Direct ! More
I ordered a 2010 Prius from Tansky in May after looking over and pricing it at the Toyota web site. The Tansky Internet salesman, Ron Ball took my deposit of $500 and estimated delivery in 4 to 8 weeks. Wh over and pricing it at the Toyota web site. The Tansky Internet salesman, Ron Ball took my deposit of $500 and estimated delivery in 4 to 8 weeks. When asked the price, he wrote the MSRP throwing in free floor mats, I was given no contract but the Toyota web site gave me a printout of an itemized list ending with the MSRP. When I had heard nothing by the end of July, I called and there was no news of expected delivery and no specific information of progress with the order. They tried to get me to take my deposit back or except another car. I wanted the car I ordered. I said I would wait. After five months from the order date, Ron Ball called and said my Prius was in. I went that day to finalize the deal. I went over the figures with Ron Ball and they did not match the printout I had gotten from Toyota. The main difference was the price for the options had gone up from $3600 to $3830. I argued that I ought to have the price that Toyota sent me when I ordered the car five months earlier. They agreed to that. However I was surprised to learn that they wanted to charge me $250 for a docking fee above what was indicated from Toyota. The printout I had from Toyota listed "Delivery, Processing, & Handling Fee = $750" I complained that not disclosing this additional $250 was an unfair practice. I felt I had been patient and dealt with them fairly and I had been given no indication of what I considered a surprise charge in light of $750 figure that Toyota listed. Jon Ball, the sales manager stepped in an argued with me that all the dealerships do this. I didn't doubt that, but he couldn't understand that I would have liked to have had some knowledge of this ahead of time. I wanted to agree to disagree, pay their price and leave with the car I had ordered and waited five months for. I thought Ron and I were closing the deal when he took my drivers license, had me sign papers, and verify my insurance. It was then that Bob McGlone, the general sales manager came over and wanted to resume the disagreement over the $250. After he heard my viewpoint he said I'm not going to sell you the car and you have nothing, (meaning a contract). I told them I wasn't refusing to pay their docking fee, but I didn't like the way it was sprung on me. I was flabbergasted that he refused to sell me the car based on my not agreeing with their policies. When I called to ask for my deposit back I told Mr. McGlone that I suspected they just wanted to sell the car to someone for more money, he said, " No, I just don't want to sell it to you." From my experience with both the manufacturer and the dealer, it seems there is no accountability and little congruity between the two and incredible arrogance on the part of Tansky sales personnel.
