I had visited various dealerships in the area and was not impressed with the pressure and sales tactics. I decided to visit Hondaland and was more than pleased with my recent CRV purchase. Alvin was more t impressed with the pressure and sales tactics. I decided to visit Hondaland and was more than pleased with my recent CRV purchase. Alvin was more than just a sales person. He seemed more interested in helping me to find a vehicle that not only meet my financial requirements, but also my family's needs. The end result was me purchasing something that I was comfortable and happy with. I appreciate the true genuine personality of Alvin and my experience at Hondaland. I almost never go online and write reviews about experiences or purchases, but I felt that the least I could do is recognize Alvin for his dedication to my statisfaction while purchasing a vehicle. This is my first purchase from Tampa Honda Land and I am extremely satisfied with my experience. My sales man, John Zawlocki went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. And John Wyatt extremely satisfied with my experience. My sales man, John Zawlocki went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. And John Wyatt, the Business/Finance Manager is the best! I have purchased many cars and usually am not impressed with the Finance process. John made it very easy and actually found me better financing . More
Our fine experience with Tampa Hondaland began the night prior to our actual visit--with Internet Sales Manager Mac Davis answering questions about a vehicle of interest (used 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee). Al prior to our actual visit--with Internet Sales Manager Mac Davis answering questions about a vehicle of interest (used 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee). Although my wife felt we should wait to find a Jeep with the newer body style (2011-12-13), I was satisfied with Mac's description of this 2010 and the particular equipment needed to make it suitable for towing behind a motorhome RV. When we came to Hondaland, Mac immediately greeted us and showed us the Jeep. Meanwhile, he took the information and the key for our trade-vehicle (2004 Dodge Durango) to the dealership's evaluator to get it appraised for a trade deal. We were proud of our Durango, which we bought new and have owned ever since, and we had our original window sticker, full service records, three sets of remote/smart keys, etc. We were at first very disappointed to be offered a trade value of about half of the Kelley Bluebook trade-in figure, but a manager came to help us get past this and said the low value had inadvertently been based on a 2wh drive instead of our actual 4x4 model. After this was clarified, we got the full Kelley value and quickly negotiated to make the purchase. Mac Davis was extremely supportive throughout the process, especially helping to reassure my wife of the "value" of this Jeep instead of continuing to search for a newer pre-owned model somewhere else. Our experience with John Wyatt, Business Mnager, was equally superior. We found him to be so much more personable and articulate than typical financial or business managers at other dealerships. He explained what each of the many forms meant and skillfully walked us through the process of purchasing the Hondaland Jeep. When we had specific questions regarding what warranty was included in our purchase (noting that a window sticker on the Jeep had mentioned one), he made good "points" for the dealership regarding the free Powertrain Warranty. My wife continued to be a bit concerned about whether we should really continue to look for a newer model with more of the original factory warranty still in force. John then did a nice job of outinling various options of "Vehicle Protection" from Fidelity Warranty Services. Although we were not able to select a plan at that time, we brought home the brochure and have continued to discuss the possibilities. In a phone conversation today, John further outlined pros and cons of two specific plans we are considering. We appreciate the total experience we had with Hondaland. Four of our family members (two sons, one daughter, and a daughter-in-law) currently own various Honda models (Odessey, Pilot, Accord, and CIvic). All of them are happy with their Honda vehicles. Since we are specifically interested in "RV tow cars," Mac showed us two other Hondas that we might consider for our next vehicle replacement (Crosstour and CRV) when we decide to trade in our other family vehicle. When that time arrives, we will be certain to include Tampa Hondaland in our search process. Thanks again to everyone involved in our great experience this week. Ken and Barbara V V More
We were in the market for a new Honda; and before we go out, we have already done all the research on model/trim/price. We went to this dealership trying to negotiate a deal with them. Dan, the general man out, we have already done all the research on model/trim/price. We went to this dealership trying to negotiate a deal with them. Dan, the general manager and Cris, the sale manager came out and told us that they would not sell us a car below the price that they quoted or they would be losing money, and that was no way that we get a better deal from other Honda dealership. They told us to take it or leave it. Knowing exactly what I am getting and the price in town, we walked out. When we asked a copy of the price quoted from this dealership, and Cris handed me the piece of paper with the price was cover. I got it. They did not want tor reveal the price and they don’t want to be undersold. So we went to another dealership in Pam Harbor. Even before we showed what Tamp hondaland offered to us, Pam Harbor has already offer us the exact same model s almost a $1,000 less than what Tampa Hondaland offered. And after the negotiation, we got a Honda almost 1,500 less than what Honda Hondaland quoted us. So basically, Cris, the sale manager from this dearship lied to us without blinking his eyes and lied to us they would be losing money if they sold us the car at a lower prices that what they quoted us while in fact, all they care is to maximize their own profits and fill up their own pockets. All they cared was their commission and pure profit and they are just all lies. yes, they will have to make money to stay in business. But for extra $1,500 out of my pocket!!! Unless the customers are loaded with cash and stupid, why would any one pay extra $1,500 for the exact same product. So I called Cris back and confronted the guy over the phone. He told me that he wanted to see proof and once he has that, we would give me a $30 gift card. So I went back in to the dealership. Guess what, this Cris first said the price of my new vehicle was not lower than what they originally offered (too bad I take a photo with my cellphone) and then he tried to tell me that I got a different model. This guy was just trying to lie his way out. So I said, “look, it is what it is. Are you going to give me a gift card?” So he hanged me this gift card from the drawer that was supposed worth $30. I thanked him and left and posted my experience on the DealerRater. Three weeks later, I used this $30 gift card at the Target counter and found out that it worth only $5. Right away, I emailed Cris and there was no response. So I called Cris and asked why he would lie to me again. The answer from Cris is like this. “We are now even. You posted a review on me on Dealerrater and that is what you got.” I tried to confront him over the phone more. And his answer was “yes, this dealership were all liars” and hanged up the phone. My conclusion is that this dealership is not good for customer, be aware and shop somewhere else. Don’t mistake why they were treating you well for the couple hours while you were there. They are in for the extra bonus and they were not honest. In my case, extra $1,500 have I shopped there. Someone commented that the dealership helped them to pick a car and made them happy or helped them to finance or what not. REALLY? In this modem society and overloaded information on the internet, you cannot just do any research online yourself? Why let them made extra $1,500 from you while you can save it for something? People should try to do research how auto dealers make moneys and you won’t believe it. As an auditor worked on multiple dealership clients, I know! I don’t blame Cris did what he did. This man has got to save his face somewhere and he has to pocket the bonus from someone else. It was his job and he need to make a living. But I wish people just need to understand that honesty goes a long way. Again, I did my homework and I know what I want at what price range. Do you? I will never shop at this dealership again because they were dishonest, rude and arrogant. More

John was absolutely excellent to deal with and very professional to deal with. We had the entire deal worked out before I even arrived at the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealership to pick up my professional to deal with. We had the entire deal worked out before I even arrived at the dealership. Once I arrived at the dealership to pick up my brand new 2013 Accord coupe EX-L I was out of the dealership in less than an hour. The car was completely detailed with a full tank of gas and ready to go. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family. More

Terrible experience. I should have read the reviews before going there. They dont care about the customer, they only care about making the sale and getting you out of there. They were not honest abou before going there. They dont care about the customer, they only care about making the sale and getting you out of there. They were not honest about features that come with new models so they can get rid of what they have. It took five hours to get a lease which was awful, since a week later we purchased a second car at Autoway Nissan in less than an hour, with the best customer service and staff I've ever had the pleasure to work with. The Honda came with a defective part, go figure, and when I took it in to get repaired, after 45 minutes of waiting they told me there was nothing wrong with the car, as the car continued to leak profusely in front of us while he was telling me this. I pointed out the obvious leak and was told that that was from the air conditioner. He just wanted to get rid of me. Finally after calling his supervisor, it turned out that the part was in fact broken (duh!). Stay away, save yourself the headache. More
