Takes Advantages of FEMALES I have been a loyal patron of Tampa Honda for several years. Up until this point they, like all dealerships, weren't the cheapest and frequently upsel I have been a loyal patron of Tampa Honda for several years. Up until this point they, like all dealerships, weren't the cheapest and frequently upsell service to customers. My most recent trip was because we had a nail in a tire that had a warranty. I called to set up service but made the unfortunate mistake of sending my wife to the dealership who was unprepared for the harassment to purchase every upsell tactic. Well, they threw the book at her. Not only was she charged full price for the tire, she was sold a power steering service $107.95, Brake Fluid Service $107.94, Air Filter $52.00, A/C Cabin Filter $47.00, and not exactly sure what the Miscellaneous Charge of $28.73 is for but I'll add it to the list of upsell dealership must have's! I called the dealership for 6 straight days and left repeated messages for Jeff King. Apparently, this dealership is so well run that all the service managers quit (amazing what you find out from employees the more you call for a person.) Jeff finally called me back today after 6 days of repeated messages via email, voicemails, and leaving with person who answers. His first condescending question was is my wife an adult and is she 18? Second, proceeded to tell me he checked the footage of security tape and she authorized all the charges. REALLY. Number one, a reputable Service Manager would call the customer to hear the complaint before researching for 6 days and then calling the customer. Here's the fun part...the disclosed estimated cost of repairs was $0.00. Secondly, the paperwork states "customer requested" under all the services. I'm sorry to tell you my wife doesn't understand what power steering service is, brake fluid service, or the fact that the A/C Filter is different from Cabin Filter....LET ALONE REQUEST IT PROACTIVELY. I hope in the end you are really proud of taking advantage of my wife and then putting it on her that she requested these services. More

Worst Service Experience Took my 2004 Honday Odyssey, which was running great, to the Tampa Honda service for a stalling issue. Initially was quoted $200, which then shot up to $1200 and finally was told $5000. Since the vehicle wasnt worth even $2000, asked them to do minimal work to resolve the stalling issue. I paid the $1200 and when I got the vehicle back, it was in horrendous condition. It was wobbly, engine was shuddering, sound was coarse. I couldn't believe this was my vehicle. When asked, was told the $5000 work will need to be performed to bring the vehicle back to the original condition. Wish they were more forthcoming. Very nasty experience... utterly disappointed. Have since traded the Odyssey for a Sienna. More

Finally (days) Jose returned call stated " that was the price IF u would have paid for the car totally at time of purchased" Shouldn't he have told us that? - I gave him ten thousand dollars down to ensure my daughter had a workable monthly payment to give her a good credit base. If I had known, been told or realized I would not have this pit in my stomach!! There was also a problem with the extended warranty. Quoted one price, charged ANOTHER!!! Jose said "The one I quoted to U was not the one she picked", however, THAT was the only price mentioned BUT it was NOT the priced entered on the paperwork. PLEASE learn from Me!!! Do NOT ALLOW TAMPA HONDA TO SCAM YOU! RUN & RUN FAST TO NEXT HONDA -- DEALER....NOT TAMPA HONDA- USES BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS More

I had some questions about my car and she took the time to listen to my concerns and made sure that they were all addressed. She kept me posted on how my car was being serviced and approximately the time they needed to finish the job. I purchased my Honda at this dealership and I found them to be extremely helpful in finding the model that would fit my needs. At no time did I ever feel pressured into buying a vehicle that I did not want or I would not be happy with. I would highly recommend that if you have a Honda and want to experience a professional and friendly dealership and a great service consultant ask for Myra Lindley at Tampa Honda.You will not be disappointed. I give Myra 10 Stars for her helpfulness and professional attitude. More
