I left my 2016 Accent with Tameron Hyundai for a day and a half and paid them over $200 for them to diagnose a bad transmission. They quoted roughly $4,500 for the repair. Instead, I took my car to a mechanic I've used before, a guy that always seems to do a good job. He drove the car down the road and back and got out shaking his head and chuckling at the dealership's assessment. I didn't need a new transmission, just a new clutch. He replaced it for $1,200 in the same amount of time that it took the dealership to run the "diagnostics" I paid $200 for. Now my car runs better than it has in a long time. I wish I could have taken the $200 I gave to the dealership and used it towards the actual repair of the actual problem in the first place. More

My time with Tameron Hyundai was very unpleasant. My vehicle was in the shop for nearly 6 months due to the scarcity of available engines for warrantied replacement and 9\10 updates I received I call My vehicle was in the shop for nearly 6 months due to the scarcity of available engines for warrantied replacement and 9\10 updates I received I called to get myself. As an experiment, I went as long as I could between calling and experienced radio silence for an entire month. My service advisor, Chris, seemed quite inconvenienced each time I spoke with him about an update and even provided wholly false information about the reasons for delay. I thankfully was able to connect with a manager, Walt, and he was a delight. I was still having to call for my own updates every few weeks, but Walt was happy to provide me meaningful information or kindly tell me that there hadn't yet been any change. The ladies that work the service desk for rentals and scheduling are also very kind and helpful. If not for them and Walt, I'm fairly confident my vehicle would still be there. I'm very thankful that we now have it back and I don't plan to return to Tameron again for any reason if I can help it. More
