On Saturday Dec 13 , 202025 I took my GMC HD to Tameron GMC for my FIRST SERVICE VISIT, according to the GMC website the following service will be covered: Oil Change, Tire Rotation and Multi Point Vehic GMC for my FIRST SERVICE VISIT, according to the GMC website the following service will be covered: Oil Change, Tire Rotation and Multi Point Vehicle Rotation. Before we arrived at the dealer I performed the following task at my home, I pulled out the engine oil Dipstick and I cleaned it in a white paper towel and I saved this paper in order to compare the color of the Old Oil with the New Oil, the color was Black, water down black. I mark the oil filter before we leave the house. I took note of the tire pressure, FR=61psi, FL=63psi, RR=68, RL=69psi. I also noted the level of the fluids: Coolant level low, brake fluid midway to full, power steering was low. We are at Tameron for 1 hour waiting for the service to be completed. When I arrived home, I compared my notes with the status of my GMC after the service was complete at Tameron GMC. After Tameron completed their service, I pull out the oil Dipstick and I cleaned with the same white paper towel I used before the service was done, when comparing the Old oil and the New oil side to side in a piece of white paper towel, there were identical; and the color of the NEW oil was Black, water down black. The tire pressure was identical, FR=61psi, FL=63psi, RR=68, RL=69psi. And the level of all the fluids was just as it was before. The level of the fluids: Coolant level low, brake fluid midway to full, power steering was low. My GMC HD had 5,000 miles at the time of service and the paperwork that Tameron gave me as evidence of their service shows that their technician Ethan Brown changed the filter and added 10 quarts of new oil to my GMC HD. This was not true, the new Engine oil is not black. The filter was not changed, I put a mark on the oil filter before we left the house, and it is the same with the same mark I put on it. The tire rotation, the paperwork that Tameron gave me as evidence of their service shows that their technician Ethan Brown check inflation in the tires, this is not true, the tires were not inflated by the technician to the recommended pressure state in the GMC manual and printed in the label in the insider of the driver door. I doubt very much that they were rotated at all. The multi-point inspection, if the technician claims that an inspection was completed and that the Service workbench MPVI was filled and completed. Yet nothing was said or printed for me notifying me that the low level of fluid, low tire pressure and black worn-needs-replace engine oil. The message to me is clear, “Do not trust Tameron GMC,”. I took my car there in May 2025 for a stalling issue. No dash lights ever came on. The next day I received an “email” from their service representative (no phone call) telling me I needed to replace my e No dash lights ever came on. The next day I received an “email” from their service representative (no phone call) telling me I needed to replace my engine because there were metal shavings in the engine oil from an engine failure. Cost would be in$13,000 range. I called to get more info and of coarse I was told the same thing from the advisor. So I had car towed from there to my mechanic who drained oil and pulled filter to check for metal shavings and he found NONE!! It was solenoids that needed to be replaced causing the sputtering issue. Cost $286 for all completed work. When I called service advisor I asked him how in good conscience they could try to rip me off like that and he apologized and offered to refund me for diagnostic fee (over$200) for a diagnostic test they never ran cause I had no copy of that test result and they could not locate it to email it to me. I would never recommend this dealership for any reason!! They are not honest and don’t care who they screw over if they are making money!! More
