2012 Escape Alex (salesman) was great. Would like to give him 5 stars. But experience was ok. Was greeted promptly by everyone and with a smile. So far, so good. Alex (salesman) was great. Would like to give him 5 stars. But experience was ok. Was greeted promptly by everyone and with a smile. So far, so good. They are getting 4 stars for the following reasons. 1. Beware. Non-negotiable on pricing. We paid top dollar, above NADA/KBB. I will say they did a lot to the car, but not negotiating doesn’t sit well with us. Also a $500 non-refundable deposit. We didn’t do a deposit, taking our chances. But who else would want a manual transmission. 😆 2. The car needed a lot of work plus other items to pass state inspection. From time of purchase to everything done was almost a month. Too long. IMHO, everything should have been done between serious interest (like 99.9% sure) to purchase. 3. This was cash deal. Finance manager was new. But this transaction took several hours. 4. Had to ask finance manager about extended warranty beyond warranty already provided. I will say Lifetime Warranty already provided on car seems good. 5. One repair was completed after purchase by a smoker. Car reeked of cigarettes. Not so good when you are highly sensitive to cigarettes. Had to drive a distance with windows down in 20 degree weather. We love the car and would deal with them again. Other than those issues, I will say that this was probably one of our better experiences getting a car, thanks to Alex. More
