Good people; Low inventory The people at Szott Toyota are a dedicated good group of folks. They work hard to get rid of their inventory. Maybe a little too hard. I had been to Toyota.com and built the vehicle I wanted so I thought this would be a fairly straight forward process. I thought if they didn't have the vehicle they would order the vehicle. This is not the case. The dealership did seem very knowledgeable about the ordering process, which made the initial experience a little frustrating for me. However, we were able to find a car that had the interior and exterior colors I wanted. Once they installed the options we were smooth sailing. Overall it was a good experience. More

Five (5) Very Long Hours Later . I leased a new Rav4 in Dec. 2011. I had traded in a fully loaded, excellent condition F150 Extended-Cab, and put down $4,000.00 toward the Rav4. The I leased a new Rav4 in Dec. 2011. I had traded in a fully loaded, excellent condition F150 Extended-Cab, and put down $4,000.00 toward the Rav4. The first contract had "flaws" I was told, and was asked to come back in to re-sign a new lease. My husband's health had just taken a turn for the worse (he died 12 days after this deal). I was in a very vulnerable and unstable state-of-mind, and the price had increased on the "2nd" lease by $60 per month. They told me they had made a mistake in their calculations. The next day, I got another call saying the same thing. I went back in, and in order to keep the new vehicle they said I had to re-sign. This time it increased by $40 per month. Not blaming Szott's entirely for what I will always consider their 1st "screw job"...I stopped in today to get my driver's window fixed (it was shaking during up and down motion). I had already been sent a notice via snail mail from the dealership that they would appreciate me turning in the Rav4 given its low miles and excellent condition. While waiting, I saw a salesman and asked about turning in my Rav4 early (it has almost 25k less miles than what I had paid for already). I was shown the new Corolla, and 2 used vehicles. My terms were laid out very clearly and firmly. If I was going to make a deal today, it would be for the used Avalon with almost 100k miles on it, $x per month, 60 month term, 2 year B2B warranty (one was included), the brakes fixed, and it cleaned up. I was told they could work it out. After three (3) hours, they came back $9 over what I said was a final monthly pmt., but would I pay one more month on the Rav4? I said "yes." Two (2) hours later, after a great deal of psychological trickery, the monthly came back $50 more (no longer was it just $9 over), the standard 1 yr B2B warranty, and an additional 2 years on the term. I was also told at this time that they found another lender who had reduced the interest rate over the term of the loan! This is the last time I will give my business to this dealership. It wasn't the sales person who was rigging the deal over and again, it was the finance people and the used car manager - the same as it was when I leased the Rav4. They cannot be trusted and I would advise anyone to avoid this dealership. Watch your back if you do. In fact, bring a tape recorder with you and a lawyer before signing anything. More

My wife and I work on different days with kids and they were very accommodating to our schedule. We have been in other used car dealers and were not expecting a quality experience, we were very surprised and relieved to the experience that we had with them. Marko was very informative in the signing of the paperwork and was able to answer many of the questions that I had, explaining in detail the extended warranties that we purchased with our used vehicle. I definitely would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle. More

They both did everything possible to make sure we could afford the vehicle we wanted. They worked with us, and we never felt pressured or rushed. They were so great with our kids, as we had to bring them to sign papers after work. We felt that they both treated us like family. I chose Szott Toyota because a physician/friend recommended them to me after I shared my bad experience at McInherney Toyota. I had been a 20 year customer of McInherney until my wonderful salesman recommended them to me after I shared my bad experience at McInherney Toyota. I had been a 20 year customer of McInherney until my wonderful salesman Rick retired. McInherney's sales man would not negotiate my desired price and actually GAVE me Suburban Toyota's phone number! Really? A 20 year customer of theirs and he threw me away. But that was a blessing in the end for it led me to Szott! Upon sharing my story my friend recommended I take the drive to Waterford as he and his family have had a very positive experience and highly recommended Szott. I started with email and was quickly responded to by Dan Hazen. Dan answered all of my questions and dealt with patiently with me. He worked with me and he was able to get me a brand new 2014 Blizzard Pearl Toyota Prius UNDER my price goal! Dan introduced me to salesman Dave Radcliffe on a cold winter day, Feb. 22, 2014, I felt warmth immediately, I felt treated like family as if I had known Dave all my life. What was unique is that Dave informed me that his daughter was currently in labor and he may have to excuse himself to take a phone call when the baby was born. How exciting! We took a test drive, Dave showed me all the unique functions of the Prius. While at his desk going over paper work he received the wonderful news of the birth of his new grandaughter, Mom and baby healthy! Dave displayed complete professionalism even while awaiting the news of his new grandaughter. He gave me undivided attention and showed interest in me as a person not a sales quota. I was NOT chased away at Szott, as a matter of fact I've now met my new Toyota dealership who I will share with my friends, family, co workers. I was embraced by caring, kind and professional people, Dan, Dave and Andy. Dave Radcliffe didn't end his relationship with me once I drove away the day I purchased my new car, he followed up several times so far and when I came back to sign up for the tire/rim insurance he and Andy welcomed me and my husband as if we were close friends/family. Thank you Dr. Mason too! I am elated to have found that kind, caring sales people exist who are not just interested in how much money they will make on you. Szott's people met my budget and actually went under the monthly payment I set! It was a win / win for both. Szott's people Dan, Dave and Andy cared more about building a LONG TERM relationship with me and my family than they did about making a one time sale. You're the BEST Szott Toyota! Dave Radcliffe thank you for the awesome customer service, kindness, patience, excellent follow up and treating me like family and NOT sending me to another dealership because you were looking at your commission.
