I have received your review from dealer rater and I have read your comments. We are very sorry that you left feeling like you were taken advantage of or sold something that was not needed. I believe that there was a lack of communication on our part explain why these services were suggested to you. In the maintenance portion of the manual it states "The Scheduled Maintenance services listed in this manual must be done at the times or mileages specified to protect your vehicle warranty and ensure the best vehicle performance and reliability. More frequent maintenance may be needed for vehicles in severe operating conditions, such as extremely hot or cold ambient temperatures, dusty areas and very short trip driving. Inspection and service should also be done anytime a malfunction is suspected.” What the manufacturer is saying, like the oil change interval, the mileage specified for the service is what not to exceed to keep the warranty valid. This does not mean it will not require service prior to that mileage. Example: Oil change intervals : “Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 10,000 miles (16 000 km) or twelve months, whichever comes first.” The manual also states “Based on engine operation conditions, the oil change indicator message will illuminate. This means that service is required for your vehicle. Operating conditions such as frequent short-trips, trailer tow, extremely hot or cold ambient temperatures, and E85 fuel usage will influence when the “Oil Change Required” message is displayed. Severe Operating Conditions can cause the change oil message to illuminate as early as 3,500 miles” I was using a 2013 Jeep Wrangler because you stated it was a 4wd. This website does not provide us with name, vehicle make or model. If you could please send me that information I will be more than happy to look up the maintenance schedule specifics based on your vehicle. I would also like to discuss this matter with you further and do what I can to make things right as our number 1 priority is your satisfaction as our customer.
