Hello, and thank you for sharing your thoughts on Dealerrater.com. Regarding vehicle pricing - dealerships are pricing vehicles at market value based on supply and demand. This has been the practice for several years. When dealerships had extensive inventories, vehicles were priced below the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Now that inventories are sparse, the manufacturers have removed the majority of incentives, and dealerships are pricing vehicles based on the market demand. We hope this helps to explain the current shift in the industry.

Please don't try to give me a lesson on supply and demand economics and how dealerships operate. I have purchased or leased over 40 vehicles in my lifetime and have been exposed to all the good and bad practices in the business. You can price your vehicles for whatever you like but my point is being honest about it from the get go. Right from the start was hoping the party would have been upfront with me. When I questioned the $2K markup over sticker was given all kinds of misinformation about A plan and X plan which had nothing to do with the 2 different MSRP prices. If I was told that your dealership was upping the price on this vehicle by $2K and would have thanked them for being honest and said goodbye instead of wasting 3 days going back in forth. Your dealership is just one of the few trying to make an extra buck off the backs of those who are helping dealerships survive this economic situation by buying now instead of putting off till later. I have priced similar F-150s from several dealers an so far yours takes the award for this ADM on a run of the mill vehicle. We were not trying to buy a Shelby GT 500, GT 350 or a F-150 Raptor which are limited production vehicles. Unfortunately due to color and or options could not commit to other vehicles that were available. Maybe Ford's CEO Jim Farley is on the right track in exploring the idea of on-line ordering at a set price in order to cleanup on these practices.
