I have been to this dealership numerous times and I have always been very impressed. After test driving many cars in Honda and Acura of thousand oaks I finally decided on getting a Volkswagen Passat. The car had 38k miles but it looked brand new! After over 10k miles driven in this car is has given me no problems and has been a great car. They really make you feel comfortable and at home. If you want your car buying to be easy and stress free I definitely recommend buying a new or used car from them. From the sales people to the General Manager these guys are easily the best! More
Exceptional customer service is hard to come across these days, and this is only the second review I have ever felt so compelled to write about the outstanding customer service I received. The bad part is days, and this is only the second review I have ever felt so compelled to write about the outstanding customer service I received. The bad part is first (not Acura of Thousand Oaks), so that there is a point of reference: I live about 5 minutes from Acura 101 West in Calabasas, who I initially visited to take a look at a 2012 RDX since my 2009 TSX lease was coming to an end. I've had a relatively good experience most of the times I've visited them, but this past time was different. There is an apparent high turn-over in the sales department. The sales techniques they tried to pull on me (bait and switch on pricing/offer) are not what I've learned to expect from Acura (I’ve serviced my cars in at least 6 different Acura locations, all over Los Angeles and Orange County). Long story short, I was disturbed with the experience and gimmicks, and after a dead-end 4 hour discussion I walked out. And now the good (actually great) part: the next day I contacted Elias, the Service Manager at Acura of Thousand Oaks service department, who has taken great care of both of my Acuras repeatedly. Since he’s a very honest person and has repeatedly provided exceptional service, I wanted to see if he had a referral for the Sales Department, or if should just call the 1-800 department and talk to whoever is available. Elias referred me to Dean, the Internet Sales Manager, and let me tell you, you have not experienced customer service until you work with these two guys. I exchanged about half a dozen emails with Dean, and next thing you know, we have come to an unbelievable deal, incomparably better than the “best” offer I received from 101 West after 4 hours of haggling!!! I also want to give credit to John, the Finance Manager, who gave us a thorough overview of the lease terms, and had us done with the paperwork in under 30 minutes!!! Dean had already started the paperwork process before we even arrived at the dealership, we were in and out the door in about an hour! Thousand Oaks Acura may be 20 miles from where I live, and is definitely out of my way, but the exceptional customer service I received from this dealership at so many different levels has earned my life-long loyalty for my service and purchasing needs. I’m telling all my family and friends about it, and I strongly recommend giving Acura of Thousand Oaks an opportunity to earn your business, even if you live 60 miles away! Acura of Thousand Oaks was such a gratifying change from the rudest and most deceitful treatment from Acura 101 West in Calabasas (review posted there as well). Our salesman (at Acura of Thousand Oaks), Richard Childress, was knowledgeable, experienced, and easy to work with. He did not try to play games, nor did he try to slip hidden extras into the deal. Simply, he showed us everything we asked about and everything pertaining to the car and the deal - in writing. So, of course, we made a great deal quickly and painlessly (for an RDX w/technology package). After signing paperwork, he proceeded to walk us through the main points of the manual and quick-start guide, assisted with pairing our cell phone to the car, physically showed us where important components were located in the vehicle, and introduced us to the service department. As we drove off, we felt very pleased with the deal we made, the respect and treatment we received, and our overall experience. Oh, and we received a lovely, handwritten thank-you note a few days later. More
