HORRIBLE MANAGER SERVICES !!! This place has a horrible service (starting from the sales manager Cesar Perez who was really disrespectful). I bought my car a year ago from this dealership, they over sale services but never deliver what it was promised. My car came with 2 keys, one was given to me and the 2nd key was suppose to be delivered on a later date. After following up with them many times, I came to the dealer to talk to the manager and the only answer I got was TO STOP THROWING A FIT ( exact words from the SALES MANAGER) for something I purchased. I was very offended by his treatment. I will definitely follow up with the owner and make sure this situation doesn't go unresolved. I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYBODY. I really hope the owner of this dealership changes management. At First I though it was only the service side that was lacking good customer service however it is WHOLE COMPANY STARTING FROM MANAGEMENT.So hopefully they can make a change and improve their service by changing personal (WITH SOME KIND OF EDUCATION AND VALUES)Good luck More
Worst Experience a Month Later! BEWARE. I originally leased a 2014 Frontier from this dealership and was mostly happy with the overall experience. I decided a truck was for me and BEWARE. I originally leased a 2014 Frontier from this dealership and was mostly happy with the overall experience. I decided a truck was for me and wanted to exit the lease to purchase either the same truck or a new one, but to finance/own it. I like to be loyal so I didn't think twice about going elsewhere, considering Hooman is only 5 minutes from my house versus 25 minutes to here. This dealership seemingly helped me out with this transaction on 9/14/15. On 10/15/15, I log into my bank account to balance my books since I had my first new truck payment due 10/16/15, and discovered that I'm overdrawn and learn that on 10/6/15, my account was auto-drafted again another payment from Nissan Finance for my previous lease contract obligations. I make numerous calls to NMAC and the dealership to inquire about this issue. After many calls, NMAC confirm that the dealership improperly attempted to payoff my leased truck after they purchased it from me. Prior to this, Ernie Dare, Surf City's Finance Manager very much tried to help me on the phone with NMAC to come to resolution, while attempting to find fault with NMAC. He was very aggressive towards NMAC, but there was no resolution. Because the dealership did not make the proper method of the payoff payment to NMAC, NMAC rejected the payment and sent the check back to the dealership. In this interim, my account was drafted again on 10/6/15 because the original payment amount expired from 10/4/15. On 10/12/15, Surf City made the correct method of payment to NMAC based on a new payoff.. However, this amount did not equal the amount of my monthly payment drafted. The dealership did confirm that they did have a credit for refund to me, however, this amount was aproximately $135 less than the amount that I was drafted. I went into the dealership on 10/16/15 to further discuss these issues, and now, the same verbally aggressive approach from Ernie to NMAC, was then directed to me because according to him and their records, they upheld their end of the contract and it was my responsibility to seek resolution with NMAC. They would only refund me the amount they had on file which was less than the total amount I was drafted from NMAC, and he deferred to NMAC as being at fault. After this visit, I made another call to NMAC. They tried to retrieve my closed account to process me a credit, and then a refund for the hassles I've dealt with. Unfortunately they could not do so because the account was paid off and closed. They suggested thereafter for me to open a claim with Nissan USA Consumer Affairs to investigate the dealership, and so I proceeded to do so. On 10/19/15, I received a call from Evelyn Rodriguez, Customer Relations Manager, to inquire of my incident because she did receive contact from Nissan USA Consumer Affairs regarding my claim. She seemed very concerned of my situation and very apologetic, got my details of what happened, and then said she will look into the matters and have it resolved by the end of the week and will contact me by Thursday 10/21, and if not, Friday 10/22 by the very latest, but for me to call her should I have any more questions or concerns. I called on Wed 10/20 to follow up regarding the original amount that Surf City confirmed they were refunding me, because upon one of the last conversations with Ernie, the week prior, they would get a check out to me via overnight once he got a manager's approval. I had not received anything yet so I made attempts to contact Evelyn. I left a voicemail on 10/20, and 10/21, with no return calls. I called during the day on Friday 10/22, again going straight to voicemail. I hung up and call the receptionist and request to be transferred to her, and not a voicemail. Somehow I got through right away, so take it for it is. This was a very cold and unwelcoming phone call. She simply told me the manager only approved the amount they owed to me, but had no details whatsoever. I inquired about the check that was originally agreed to me, but she had no information and needed to inquire within the dealership and would get back to me. She assured me she would call me back by 5pm on that Friday, just as she originally promised from Monday. Guess what, no call. Today, 10/23/15 I receive two checks from the dealership. One originally dated 10/13/15 for a lesser amount that was confirmed to me by Ernie. There was a second check dated 10/19/15 that did include the remaining difference, which does total the amount of my extra auto-drafted payment. In the end, after many terrible calls, service, a visit to the dealership, a briefly overdrawn account, I was credited fully what was owed to me, despite being told by the dealership, that I wasn't. I am a fan of Nissan vehicles, but I will never have anything to do with this dealership again, and possibly Nissan. I do not wish this experience upon anyone so please use caution with this dealership. More

I called and spoke with Reilly who "was not a salesperson" but would help me. I was quoted @ $13,300 for a new Versa after Reilly checked with a "sales manager" Went to the dealer with my wife to buy the car, Reilly was conveniently out to lunch at 3pm. The Sales Manager David Ortega acted like a Mafia "Made Man" (I grew up with "made Men in Brooklyn)refusing to honor the price, yelling at me and my Wife and telling us to leave. It was a Bait and Switch. I am not 5 minutes away when David calls me with a used 2014 Versa for what we wanted to pay cash for. We returned, David showed us the car, said "only 15,000 miles on the car which actually had 15,900, produced a Carfax showing no accidents, but there is paint over spray on the window on the drivers side door. I bought the car, but I will never, ever return to Surf City Nissan. I have an appointment with a different Nissan dealership to inspect the car, and an appointment with a Lawyer. I would not recommend Surf City Nissan to my worst enemy, one day David will pull his aggressive act on a True "Made Man" and face the consequences. More
Repeat customers no more My husband and I recently purchased a pathfinder platinum from surf city Nissan. This is not our first time dealing with this dealership either. We ha My husband and I recently purchased a pathfinder platinum from surf city Nissan. This is not our first time dealing with this dealership either. We had previously bought 2 other Nissan vehicles from them in the past. Ever since this new management took over this place has completely gone down hill. We never had a problem with our other 2 purchases which is why we chose to go back. First of all we were told they would do the paperwork for us to register our vehicle through the state of Illinois as my husband is stationed in California on active duty military orders, well that fell through because not only did we receive California plates in the mail we had to do all the paperwork ourselves once the CA DMV told us the dealership obviously had no idea what they were doing and filled all the paperwork out for CA instead of IL. We didn't just buy the baseline model Pathfinder, we purchased the Platinum 4X4 which is a pretty penny and not only were the DVD headphones and remote missing from this "new" car, but they never gave us the roof rack crossbars. So I called to ask them how we get them from the dealership one person said yes we can give them to you no problem but you have to call back on Monday and talk to our new car guy who will get them to you so I call on Monday, and then the new car guy proceeds to tell me basically we are SOL after we were told by NIssan USA to contact the dealer for the crossbars. I have since opened a formal complaint on the dealership with Nissan USA all over a set of crossbars. And don't even get me started on the fact our "new" car which is what it was advertised as not only did we find someone's wallet in it but we also found someone's dirty disgusting socks as well. This dealership has gone to garbage and I have made it very apparent to anyone who asks where we got our nice looking vehicle to steer clear of them. These new people they have working for them have done it in for them and lost our loyal business. More

They use all the tricks you rea Typical underhanded tricks at evey turn to get more money out of you with very misleading or incorrect information. They use all the tricks you read about in on-line articles about bad car dealers. Salesman was a nice guy, but told you what you wanted to hear when asking questions. Either he was really stupid or borderline criminal. Dealing with the rest of the staff was downhill from there. If for some insane reason you go to this dealership .... Question everything they tell you !!!!!!! Question EVERYTHING they are charging you for. I consider myself a pretty good car shopper and read lots of articles about the tricks and these guys still managed to get an extra $400 added to the total cost ... My bad, but their was of presenting the information was very misleading .... Did I say Go Anyplace Else .... beware, this company owns several So Cal Nissan dealerships, so do some research and stay away from ALL of them. More

Love my Roque 2015 and paid $30K I came in for a free car wash on 1 20 2015 and a tank of free gas, I was promised in writing, on back of David Ortega business card. I was there 2 and half hours! (not worth it) David actually printed out my Nissan survey, asked me outside (yes I was unaware) he proceeded to wave it in my face and yell and threaten me because two items I did not give HIM A 10 RATING--xxx I thought he was going to HIT me! --- David Ortega is Narcissistic xxxxxxx. After a few minutes of this abusive treatment he went inside and I ran to my car. Yeah all that for $25.00 in gas If I see him near my car or me I will call the police! I will keep reposting this-when they take it down. 1/21/2015 I went to another Nissan dealer for a clicking sound --found my rear brake cable was disconnected! OMG all the inspections from Manufacturer to dealer and no one noticed that it had a brake issue. Another near death issue-- Or did David do that also. Now in a safe rental car More

Extremely frustrating experience with this Nissan dealer. I went through an insurance claim for repair of my car. I went down there to pick up my car after being told that the car was ready to go, I ended up waiting 1.5 hours before I finally left in my car. Manager of the Service department, Efrain Perez, asked me if I would be willing to pay 1/2 of the price difference between what my insurance estimated and the actual cost of the part. They needed to get an approval on the price difference before they can release the car and they were experiencing some issue faxing the related docs and such. Simply unbelievable. This should have been worked out BEFORE telling me that the car was ready. Both the Service Agent and the manager had this 'don't care' attitude the whole time I was there. I also needed to order a new set of owner's manuals as part of my claim. It took the service department to get them a total of 4 months. During the time, I always had to call to get an update on my order as they never gave me follow-up calls. They ordered a wrong manual even though I had called them twice to make sure to receive the right one. I had to keep going back there to discuss this issue because they kept screwing up. I am so tired of dealing with them and have absolutely no desire to go back there. More
