I bought a new 2023 Chevy Equinox in late April. I had an agreement with the salesman that I was only going to pay tax, title, and license. No warranties of any kind. The finance guy, Darrell H I had an agreement with the salesman that I was only going to pay tax, title, and license. No warranties of any kind. The finance guy, Darrell Higgins, walked me through the paperwork, making sure to point out that Chevy now covered the key fobs under the factory warranty and some other items. At no time did he mention any type of warranty that I was going to have for anything. I was in a great mood having just bought a new car, and thought I and the salesman had a concrete deal. When I got home and looked at my paperwork, I saw about 7 grand I couldn't account for. So, I went to the lending credit union and got a copy of the purchase agreement that Supreme didn't include in the paperwork they gave me that had a itemized list of everything in the deal. Imagine my shock to find a $1300 windshield warranty (that my own insurance covered), a $600 key replacement plan, $1250 in paint protection covereage, a $4300 comprehensive extended warranty that also covered key fobs, $1200 in gap insurance, and a $600 road hazard warranty. So that's three warranties alone that cover key fobs, including the one that came with the vehicle from the factory. I called Higgins and told him to remove all that. I left a real bad review like this one on Yelp, and sure enough, I get a call a couple days later from the general manager, Kerry Mumphrey asking what went wrong. I explained it all in detail, and he said that in order to cancel the warranties I had to fill out a form, which he sent me and I returned signed, listing all warranties to be canceled and refunded (I wonder why Higgins didn't mention that when I called him?). Mumphrey stated that "He wasn't in the office when the deal was made" so he wasn't going to take any action. He didn't care. So, I wait. And I wait some more. The money isn't being refunded, so I call Higgins again about a month and a half after the fact. He said that they had never had anyone cancel a warranty before (which I find impossible to believe) but that they allowed me to cancel them anyway and it would take about 12 weeks to get the money sent to credit union that holds the loan. Hang on, they let me cancel the warranties? NEWSFLASH, state law says they have no choice. It's plain as day. I spoke to someone else that works at the dealership, and he said the DARRELL HIGGINS is known to do shady things like that. So take this as a warning. Look over your deal very close before you leave whatever dealership you choose, but avoid this cesspit. Also, their service dept is a complete joke. I brought my car in for a warranty repair, and they said they had to order the part and would call me It was the seal for the sunroof. Well, weeks go by, and I don't hear from them. I call and never get a person, leave messages, and can't get a peep from them. So, I took it to another dealership that got it squared away in no time. A horrible shady dealership run by unscrupulous people. More
Everyone is courteous and helpful while in the facility and on phone. They generally strive to have the vehicle ready at the time specified. I would continue to do business with them. and on phone. Avoid this dealer at all costs. When confronted about the issue, the used car manager simply said that the part was aftermarket and they won’t do anything about it, leaving me to spend more money on a new set of lights. This dealer will leave you high and dry if there are any issues after the sale. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. More
Great service and great staff. They were very apologetic when they fell behind in service department after one of the techs had a family emergency. They were very apologetic when they fell behind in service department after one of the techs had a family emergency. More
