My previous car was an Acura. I took it Frank Leta for all my service and just loved their service department and was nervous about changing service departments. I bought a 2006 Passat. I needed to take it to the service department to find out why my check engine light was on. When I brought it in I met Dave Riemer. He made me feel at ease with his friendly manner. He was extremely knowledegable I felt at ease. After they checked the check engine light he came and told explained what was wrong and made a recommendation to me which I did. I think someone in management should put a letter of recommendation letter in his file. Mary More
Dan Turner was great to work with. But when I signed paperwork it was not thoroughly filled out, when I received all of the paperwork in the mail 3 weeks later I have a deductible for my warranty that I paperwork it was not thoroughly filled out, when I received all of the paperwork in the mail 3 weeks later I have a deductible for my warranty that I was not made aware of, was told it was for 5yr/120,000 and on the paperwork it is 5yr/100,000 only. Lifetime warranty only exists if you get EVERYTHING done at this dealership. Not backed by Nissan. After 3 days in my Rogue, I was not happy with it. I took it back and got a Altima. Jim H assisted me in getting that taken care of and had me drive a 2010 Altima with 6000 miles on it loaded. I really liked the car, and figured I wouldn't be paying sticker price on a "used" car. I was wrong!! I couldn't get exactly want I wanted in my altima at the price I paid for my Rogue because Suntrup tacks $1800 on to each car with there pinstripes, interior protection, and clearcoat. Very unhappy experience and will not go back, even to have vehicle maintenance. And 5 weeks after buying my car, my old car is still not paid off. More
I hadn't planned to buy a Nissan that day but Travis was so helpful and friendly and offered a good deal I couldn't refuse so I bought the Nissan instead of the Honda I priced a few weeks earlier. I drove from East Alton,IL all the way to Suntrup because I thought you would honor your advertisements. You would have the best deals than anyone around. I was sorely disappointed. I came looking for a 2010 Nissan Murano SL model for a decent price. The Internet Sales Man Jim Hensiek showed me what you had. He "talked the talk" saying he was an honest shooter and wasnt going to lead me astray like other dealer-ships. He continued to say that I probably dont want an SL model because he couldnt get it in my price range. He suggested I go to the lesser S model and add after factory leather, since that is what I wanted. I would think that sales people would try to get you what you want so that you walk away happy to get what you wanted. Unfortunately, he was too focused on how much money he could make vs. making a happy customer. If you are the self proclaimed sales leader company in this area, then why would you focus on making BIG money on each customer instead of making decent profit on MANY customers?? I know that he was trying to sell me a "lesser car" at the MSRP price, so he could be within my budget and make more profit INSTEAD of taking what I wanted and trying to make a deal within my budget to make me walk away happy. Right now he might be arguing that he was not doing that and was only trying to find something that would make me happy. If that is the case, then I guess Suntrup just cant match the prices found elsewhere. I am now the VERY VERY PROUD owner of a 2010 Nissan Murano SL AWD comfortably equiped with the Premium, Leather, and 360 package with a few other options too!!! But NOT from Suntrup. The dealer I found took what I was looking for, and worked with me to make me a happy owner of what I wanted and not what he could talk me into so that he could make the most money. In the end, I have bragged HEAVILY about the dealer I found and have published it online for MANY to see. Two of my friends who are so impressed with my Murano, want to get one in a few months when they are ready to buy. I have told them NOT to go to Suntrup, because I explained what happened to me there. I told them to buy where you find the best deal, but FIRST visit the dealer I used. Words can not express how happy my wife and I are with our SL Murano AWD. We are a very pround Nissan family that owns a Nissan Sentra Spec V and now a Murano SL. I hope this explains "WHY" Suntrup is NOT the place to buy a Nissan. Go elsewhere where they will try to get you what you WANT!!! More
