What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia South, Suntrup Hyundai in South County, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

To buy a car from Moe was a delight, he was fun and interesting, attentive and not pushy. I wouldn’t hesitate to send friends and family to him. I went in a few weeks ago to check out a car someone had told me about even though I wasn't really in the market for a new one. I ended up purchasing the 2022 Corvette Stingray. Probably the smoothest purchase I have ever made buying a vehicle in the last 20+ years. My salesman, Lazarus and the Finance Manager, BJ, were professional and respectful. My son, a former car salesman, tagged along the next day to make sure everything was on the up and up. He was happy with the financing I received and how I was treated. Car buying doesn't get any better than that. More

This is the 2nd car I've bought from Suntrup and the 2nd time I'm excited walking away. David answered every single question I had, no matter how annoying I was with them.
