What an experience! I had met with numerous car salesman at other dealerships and Tony was the first one that I actually wanted to give my business to. I really felt as though Tony wasn't just trying to sel at other dealerships and Tony was the first one that I actually wanted to give my business to. I really felt as though Tony wasn't just trying to sell me a car, but he wanted to get me into a car that was exactly what I wanted. I never felt pressured once, and Tony never tried to steer me in a different direction. He listened to what I wanted and I couldn't be any happier with my purchase. And talk about a salesman with patience :) He would have shown me every black car on the lot had I asked him to. The selection at Suntrup was great, the staff at Suntrup were very friendly, and the prices were better than the competition. I LOVE my new car and want Tony and the Suntrup family to know they have a customer for life. And Tony should get salesman of the year in 2012 too! :) More
Salesmen did the good old boy, patronizing, what do we need to do to sell you a car "little lady" routine with me. They were pushy, in my face, with men's club jocularity/jokey attitude and thoroughly re need to do to sell you a car "little lady" routine with me. They were pushy, in my face, with men's club jocularity/jokey attitude and thoroughly repulsed both me AND my husband.. When we left this dealership I was done with Hyundai. My husband really liked the Tucson and wanted to give The Dean Team on Manchester a chance. Boy what a difference!! The Dean Team was and has been MUCH easier to work with. They were nicer to me (so I was happy) and my husband got his Tucson (so he was happy). Suntrup should learn how to deal with customers (particularly women customers) from the DeanTeam. More
I was looking for a new car so I went to my neighborhood Hyundai dealer, when I got there I was greeted by Tony and he proceeded to gather some information from my son and myself after that we decided to lo Hyundai dealer, when I got there I was greeted by Tony and he proceeded to gather some information from my son and myself after that we decided to look at a Elantra based on what I had told Tony. Tony brought an Elantra up to my son and I and explained the entire car to us and then we drove it, after driving it we went back inside and talked numbers and I decided to go home and sleep on it, which to my surprise Tony said no problem take your time and that he would be in touch with me on Monday, I was shocked to hear that because I had went to other dealers and they either wouldn't give me my keys back or let me leave! I knew right then that I would be purchasing the Elantra from Tony on the following Monday. I am a retired widow and haven't ever purchased a car with out my husband that is why I had my son with me he was also amazed at how Tony handled himself. I got home Saturday evening and talked with my two daughters and told them that I was going to do this on my own come Monday and they both said go for it mom. I called Tony on Monday and finalized everything over the phone just to make sure everything Tony had told me was still valid and of course it was. I went to Suntrup later that evening to get my new Elantra and had my daughter meet me there to help look over the car before I left with it, when she walked in and saw Tony it turned out that they new each other for a long time so I was even more at ease with everything. I signed my papers Tony went over the entire car with me and I drove it home and I love my new Elantra! Tony called me a few days later to make sure everything was ok with the car, to thank me for my business, and to let me know if I needed anything I could contact him directly. I haven't had a new car in almost 15 years and I thought it was going to be unbearable going to buy one but as it turns out it was easier than I thought once I found a sales person who knows how to listen to what I wanted and got me exactly that. I would recommend Tony and Suntrup Hyundai in south county to anyone that asks where I got my beautiful car from. Thanks again Tony! Lin More
Tony was the most down to earth and easiest sales person I have EVER had the pleasure to deal with, he made buying a new car so easy and fun that I actually didn't mind buying a car as I have in the past. My boyfriend bought a car from this Suntrup a couple months ago and it has been the worst experience either of us have ever dealt with, and I have dealt with some crappy companies. The car he bought i months ago and it has been the worst experience either of us have ever dealt with, and I have dealt with some crappy companies. The car he bought is great and the deal he got on it was great and everyone was really friendly and helpful the day he bought the car. But as soon as you walk out the door, they no longer care about anything, because they already have your money. Suntrup is, hands down, the epitome of a "typical car dealership." Texanne McBride, who deals with loans and financing, acts like your best friend when you're there, but couldn't care less about you after you step out of her cubicle, and she is ruthless! She told my boyfriend that she would send him 17 car insurance quotes in a couple days, because his insurance with his new car ended up being way higher than we expected. She never called, which we just figured she forgot, but after my boyfriend called several times that week and left messages for her every time, it was clear that she had no intentions on getting those quotes or calling him back. When my boyfriend went to the DMV to pay his sales tax and get his plates switched from his old car to the new car, the DMV said that he still needed to get safety and emissions done on his new car. The salesman at Suntrup told us when we were looking at the car that all of this had been done already. In all the frenzy of buying a new car, we forgot to get the paper work from them for the safety and emissions tests, but sure enough, when he called the dealership and had to talk to multiple people about what happened, they finally admitted that they didn’t do safety and emissions on his car. Over the next week, he had to drive 30 minutes to the dealership and back 4 times after work in rush hour traffic to get a dealer plate because they didn’t have time to take his car in that night, then to get a dealer car when they finally could work on his car, then to take the dealer car back and then to return the dealer plate after going back to the DMV with his safety and emissions paperwork. Even though Suntrup did take care of this error, they were in no way willing to make things easier for their customers and everyone there that we dealt with, except for the manager, was rude and pompous in the way they acted towards us. Finally, when we thought this nightmare was over, my boyfriend was paying his first car payment when he noticed he owed over $10,000 on his car when they sold it to him for $7600. He called the dealership and talked to Texanne and she said the 3 year warranty on his car is $2500 and that’s the reason he owes so much more than the price of the car. We knew about the warranty, because Texanne told us she got him a better deal on his loan with a warranty included. She never told us it would cost him another $2500. When he told her this, she just said, “Well, you signed for it.” Yes, he did sign for it, because she was just giving him form after form to sign, not explaining what any of them were. This should have been a red flag to us, but we just assumed that all of these forms were procedure when buying a car, because that’s how it was when I bought my car at a different dealership two years ago and had no issues afterwards. We never thought that they we’re trying to swindle him out of more money. Texanne told him that he could come in and cancel the warranty, so when he did, he went to her to get the cancelation form and saw that there was a $50 cancelation fee. He told her he would not be paying it and that Suntrup will take care of this to which she repeatedly said, “Nope. No, we won’t.” When he said he wanted to see a manager, he then spent 30 minutes arguing with the manager about why he would not be paying the cancelation fee, before the manager finally agreed to pay it. At this point, we’re just hoping that this nightmare is over and no other issues pop up from this terrible car purchase. All this to say, most dealerships will trick you and lie to you any way they can, but I don’t think any of them compare in lack of character or integrity to the people of Suntrup Hyundai. More
James the Service Dept. Mgr. at Suntrup Hyundai Car Dealership provided great service when my ML320 Mercedes Serpentine Belt broke. I arrived at 7:00 in the morning at the dealership. I explained to Dealership provided great service when my ML320 Mercedes Serpentine Belt broke. I arrived at 7:00 in the morning at the dealership. I explained to James that the tow company sent my car to the wrong dealership. Immediately, after I finished James got a loaner car prepared, told me to give him the number of the tow co. and he would take care of the situation. I was able to get to work on time and reliable transportation due to his willingness to help a customer. I am a new customer at this dealership. James made me feel valued and welcomed. Thanks James! Keep the good work up! I look forward to building a relationship with this company. More
Tony wa great to work with. He s low key, straight forward and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the delay in finalizing our deal, but this appeared to be due to circumstances beyond his control. I gave Suntrup Hyundai the Highest rating because they deserve it! After considering many cars over several months, I decided on the Veloster. I considered other dealerships; however, they were priced h deserve it! After considering many cars over several months, I decided on the Veloster. I considered other dealerships; however, they were priced higher. Moreover, the email inquiry turnaround time was outstanding. It did not take days for Tony at Suntrup to follow up with my initial email inquiry. His timeliness left me with the impression that I was dealing with a very professional sales team. My initial reaction certainly ring true, to say the least. When I finally decided to contact Tony by phone, I must say, I was blown away by his professionalism and authenticity. I knew after our first chat that I would definitely make a purchase. I test drove a Veloster and loved it! However, they did not have the color and package that I desired. My heart was set on a certain color and package. Tony pulled Texanna, Fred, and Bryan together- and as a team, they were able to get me the car of my dreams. The team negotiated with car dealers outside of the state to assure that I received quality customer service and delivery. They did not complain about it, they just made it happen. I really appreciate the shared team work! I would definitely buy another car from Suntrup and without a doubt have already recommended others. I love my car, I felt like I deserved it and so did they! Awesomenessss! More
I had a great experience at Suntrup Hyundai. I had the feeling I wasn't being sold. I stated my goals and Jake and I worked together so I could get the car I wanted. Everyone I spoke with at the dealershi feeling I wasn't being sold. I stated my goals and Jake and I worked together so I could get the car I wanted. Everyone I spoke with at the dealership was professional and helpful. When I told my daughter I wanted a new car, she told me to go to Suntrup. She purchased 2 Hyudai's from them and she said the service was fantastic. No hassles. Jake Belcher (Sales) found my car and had it ready in a few hours. Linzie (Finance) got me a great rate and called me back to tell me he found a better rate. Couldn't ask for more. Thanks Guys, Great Job! More
