Suntrup was by far the closet Hyundai dealership to my house. However, after looking for a new car there I decided to buy from a dealer (St. Charles Hyundai) 30 miles further away. Their sales are gimmicky and prices are much higher. However, my biggest complaint is with their service. I have had my car towed there for service due to its proximity to my house. They said it was just a dead battery. It was replaced. Then 3 weeks later the same thing. My car won't start and I have to have it towed to Suntrup. They said it was just a bad battery and replaced it. I was told everything else checked out fine. 5 days later same problem. Before I dropped it off I called ahead to make sure Suntrup would pick up the bill for the rental car that I would need for a third time. There policy is they don't give out loaners and even under these circumstances would not give me a loaner or pay for a rental car. I refused to take it there again and jumped started it so I could make it out to St. Charles Hyundai were I was given a loaner with no questions asked. More

Arrived at dealer, sat for a couple hours, they brought back a trade price I wasn't willing to accept. They were very convincing on how "pristine" and "rare" their vehicle was, and how it was owned by the back a trade price I wasn't willing to accept. That made me feel good, but they weren't willing to give me what my trade had been appraised at other dealerships for. Finally they got to the number I could deal with. I test drove van, it was lovely on the inside and from what I could see on the outside appeared to be as the salesperson claimed it to be "pristine". When I got it home my father found damage to the underbody and the hightop of the 8' high van, places that I couldn't inspect myself (have a handicap that prevents me from performing such inspection). When I contacted the dealer about possible structural damage, the dealer rudely claimed there were no "lemon laws" in the state of Missouri and they did not have a return policy, he also told me that their dealer did an so-many point inspection and that I would be calling him to apologize for accusing them of structural damage. I told the dealer that I would be taking it to a certified GMC dealer for inspection and report back to him what was found. I did that today and the dealer is only willing to pay for the two issues. The issues that were found wrong with the van are as follows; 3" deep gouge in one of the highest points of the van's high top not viewable on the ground by a person in my condition, underbody damage around the hitch, excessively dirty rear differential fluid, and the van needed an alignment badly. Upon reporting these conditions, the pre-own manager Sean Kelly wanted me to agree to be happy with them paying for the rear differential fluid change and the alignment. At this time, I am not satisfied with what they are willing to offer, and we have left a message for an attorney who was recommended to us by a friend in the St. Louis area to see what we can do in terms of them misleading me and misrepresentation. Tony Schumann is an exceptional salesman. He knows his job inside and out. He was very friendly but still professional. He greeted me with a great attitude. And his attitude was excellent throughout our dealings. The only thing that I didn't like was the price of the car. When I looked on line the night before, the prices were substantially lower than when I arrived at the dealership. (But that's not Tony's fault.) My overall experience was such that I will gladly recommend Tony to any of my friends or relatives who are looking for a new car. Thank you again Tony. More
Our first impression of Mike Wright was good, but the more we worked with him, we found him to be deceitful , deceptive and dishonest. After confronting him with our concerns, he avoided us, failed to return calls, made deals he couldn't keep. A sincere apology goes a long way, but it's not in his vocabulary. The same goes for his supervisor, Merced. He told us that we should have just bought a brand new Hyundai instead. He too made offers to resolve issues with Mike Wright but failed to follow through. We were quoted a price and interest rate on a car, agreed to it, then went to sign the papers and they changed the amount and rate. I wish we knew this Dealership had a D+ rating when we were there. Oh, good luck getting your title. Search the web, you we see more of this and details. Great car, LOUSY DEALERSHIP, don't work with Mike Wright and know you have to negotiate for basic minimal customer service at best. More
I have been a LONG time customer at the Suntrup (Hyundai) in South County- but this last time, in April 2013??? THE VERY BEST!!! You see I had need (bad) of a better more reliable vehicle. One night I had a dream (TRUE STORY) well at that time in real life I was driving a Tiburon (which I ALSO purchased at the same dealership) I think I have been with these same folks for maybe 12 years and 4 new cars lol :) SO- in my dream? I had a Tiburon (in real life of course)..... but then when I awoke I suddenly no longer had that car. NO...... I had a new "white" car.. (???) I had been meaning to call the dealer for quite some time in regards to my old Tiburon, to see if they could help me get out of that- and in a new car. BUT I NEVVVER EXPECTED WHAT HAPPENED THAT VERY DAY! I emailed and called the dealership on this day- and AS GOOD AS THEY ALWAYS ARE TO ME??? :) They asked I come in right after work that very day I had had that dream. I NEVER expected to drive home that night in a BRAND NEW CAR :) ......(but I DID :) Here is the "are you kidding me"??? part. So I wake up the owner of a 'white' car. (IN MY DREAM)....... (??) That night after work (keep in mind this was all on a whim for I had NO PLANS to get a new car right then (but really did need one for many reasons).... So I get to the dealer, and they not only 'knew' what car would be perfect for me...BUT THE ONLY ONE AVAILABLE ---- WAS A WHITE CAR !!!!!! :) (like my dream lol) Told ya- unreal. So I test-drove that white car and LOVED IT. But wait! There's more!!! lol... IT GETS BETTER............................................ ....at the last minute - I spotted,.... and was offered an upgrade car (same model as what I test drove)- but.... in the color *Metallic SkyBlue*. OHHHHHH I FELL IN LOVE :) And as always, Fred, Chip, and especially that Texanne :) - (finance lady) - WELL THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE BIZ AND I WOULD RECOMMEND ALL..... FOR THEY ARE NOT JUST 'DEALERS'..... they truly care about PEOPLE AND THEIR NEEDS. This to me is pure satisfaction. Well..... A DREAM COME TRUE - LITERALLY !!!!!! The icing on the cake was I may not have drove away with a 'white' car as I awoke that same day from dreaming of.... BUT I BELIEVE THAT NEW CAR CAME FROM THE HEAVENS ITSELF ;) THE GOOD LORD SENT ME A *SKYBLUE BEAUTY* - STRAIGHT FROM THE ALMIGHTY HEAVENS!!!!!!! and I am TOTALLY SERIOUS. My testimony and 'review'?????????? Well I could go on alllllll day - but I think the above sums it up - to a *T*. *TOTALLY TAKEN CARE OF* and a very happy customer.
