Haley, I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience with our service department. When we make an error, we make every effort to make it right. I know that Dennis, our Service and Parts Director, has been overseeing your repair personally to ensure that it gets done correctly. However, regarding your claim that your loan was for more than the car costs, your contracts state very directly that that $1500 is for tax, title and license fees. Mr. Norman, I'm sorry that you are dissatisfied with your service; however, your complaints were unwarranted. You complained that your service took too long (oil change & state inspection). Your repair order indicates that it took 37 minutes. You complained that you were charged "double" what you were charged for the same service (oil change) in December 2018. This is bold faced lie. You were charged $30 for the state inspection which is a North Carolina mandated service and fee, and you were charged exactly $2.95 more for your oil change. You complained that your oil changed should have been free since you purchased an vehicle service contract at the time of the vehicle purchase. The service contract does not include routine maintenance such as oil changes which the paperwork you received indicates. Should you have any more questions or commentary, please contact me directly. When you bring your car in for service, the first thing that happens is our multi-point inspection. After that occurs, additional suggested maintenance will be brought to your attention, so that if you choose to take care of your vehicle at that time, the mechanic will be able to perform all the services while your vehicle is on the lift. I'm sorry if you thought that we were just trying to "sell new parts". Sir, I reviewed your case with our Service & Parts Director before responding. When you brought it in recently, the grinding noise had stopped as they said it would several month ago. GM had advised us that the new trucks might have a grinding noise in cold weather until they are broken in at around 5000 miles and at that time, the noise would cease. This is exactly what occurred with your truck so there is no reason to take it apart and replace any parts. This was all explained to you multiple times, so I'm not sure where your confusion lies.
