Auburn took at least 2.5hrs on average to perform a scheduled maintenance while Renton only took about 1hr. Currently, I have my car in for diagnostics as the HEV warning light appeared, disabling the car's operation. This happened on a Sunday night, so I had to have it towed to the closest dealership (Auburn). Auburn had the car for two days before they could even communicate when it would be serviced. On day 3, the car was seen by a technician. It is now day 6 and I've been told over the last 3 days that they are waiting on a response from their Tech-line for help in diagnosing the issue. My frustration stems from not being kept in the loop as to what the issue is or how long they will need to repair the vehicle. A simple statement as to what the diagnostic tool was saying would have been sufficient. You'd think that not having any completion date in mind, they would at least have the courtesy to give me updates instead of my having to call them daily. Adding to this frustration is the fact they won't give me a loaner car. More
I gave a 5 star review when I bought my Sportage because I was treated well, friendly and helpful salesman and finance person. Delivery went well and the tech person is great...and then real life set in! Th I was treated well, friendly and helpful salesman and finance person. Delivery went well and the tech person is great...and then real life set in! The service person I have to deal with absolutely has made tell my family to go elsewhere. I have to make ALL follow up phone calls to which the person answering the phone tells me they will have him call me when he's available. Only once has he called me back without me having to make addition calls! I've been waiting for MONTHS for a part for my vehicle w/o communication of any kind unless I call for information. The last call I was told the part is finally on it's way and would be there in 2 days and he would call me when it arrives. That's been almost 2 weeks ago! His 2 days are way different than mine! I took my Kia optima here on Jan 6th because I had a burning smell coming from my engine. Poor customer service, poor workmanship. They had my car for 2 1/2 days and charge me $560, car is not drivable burning smell coming from my engine. Poor customer service, poor workmanship. They had my car for 2 1/2 days and charge me $560, car is not drivable found out that the gasoline is mixed in with the engine oil. When I pick up my vehicle on Saturday Jan 7th. Due to the problem, causing my car to have this burning smell. was due to an oil leak. You would think common sense these idiots will change the oil. now I have to take my car to another dealership to have them look over the poor workmanship done by sunset Kia I will never bring my car back to this place. Took in my 2014 soul to get checked because of headlight flickering. Turned out to be the multifunction switch, the front desk person said it would be covered under warranty, said she would call me because flickering. Turned out to be the multifunction switch, the front desk person said it would be covered under warranty, said she would call me because they have to order the part. It's been 3 months and everytime I call to check they make up excuses and say they are still waiting on the part. I ended up fixing it myself. Warranty for life? Yea right More

Easy to schedule and complete as promised are 2 big positives. We miss the included, on site car wash but see it was dropped during the pandemic. Hope it comes back someday. More
This one star rating is for the service manager. I told him that I would be in touch again and this wasn't over. I am the type of person who doesn't move forward unless all my facts are pristine. I contacted Midas to see if they would stand behind there explanation. They said, "Absolutely. We have the oil pan and plug and old filter. Your leak and damaged pan is the fault of the technician who performed your last oil change. The plug wasn't inserted correctly and the threads are stripped." Sunset Kia does all my oil changes and has done so since I bought my car there. The oil changes cost me nothing there, it's part of the new car purchase contract. This is what happened: I noticed a good sized oil stain in my driveway. Most likely from a day or two before. I then looked under my car and saw a puddle of oil. I had to get to work and there is a Midas Repair shop across the street from my employer. I dropped my car off with them and asked them to fix whatever was causing this serious leak. They made the discovery and fixed the problem and it cost me $645 and change. I thought to myself this was an inconvenience for sure but I knew Sunset Kia, being a reputable company, would make things right by reimbursing my loss. When I spoke with the service manager at Sunset, I understood how wrong I was and that this would be an uphill battle. Midas couldn't believe that Sunset wasn't going to do the right thing. This isn't over! I have written an official letter of complaint and made very clear what needs to happen for me to consider this issue resolved. I will mail them today, one to the Service Manager and one to the Dealership manager/owner. If I don't gain satisfaction after that, my next step will be to take them to small claims court. I'm not going to eat $645 loss for something that was their fault. I have the the ruined pan and Midas will support my claim. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that all my past experiences with Sunset Kia have been positive. Stay tuned. More
