However, the The entire experience was awesome. We had been working with a Mazda dealership to locate the model /color/features we were interested in. However, they never got back with us, so we started looking at other brands. When I contacted Stephanie Stinebaker through the Subaru online chat, she instantly replied and started searching for a vehicle that met all of our requirements. She went out of her way to make us happy. When we arrived at the dealership, she connected us with a Sales Rep (Shay Hodzic) that helped finalize the process. A few days before visiting the showroom my wife’s car experienced some major maintenance issues, so Stephanie and Shay actually helped find TWO cars! They did a great job giving us a good deal on both cars and gave us exactly what we asked for on the trade ins. We’ve had the cars for about 2 weeks now and the dealership has continued to be helpful and friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend Subaru’s and the Webster Grove Subaru dealership. The cars have great reviews on Consumer Reports and the dealership customer service is outstanding. More
The value of salesmanship I came back to Webster Groves after my first purchase “Annie” a 10 yr old Outback was moving into a another family member’s garage at 175,000 miles. T I came back to Webster Groves after my first purchase “Annie” a 10 yr old Outback was moving into a another family member’s garage at 175,000 miles. The salesmanship is more customer representative than sales. I was given details and facts, I was presented with the best deal and no arm wrestling. Jim Carpenter keep it real, he is excellent to work with. I would note I made the 2 hour trek to Webster Groves as I recalled the same type of service 10 yrs ago and will come back in the next 5-10. Thank you Jim and Adam (cannot say enough about their business office efficiency!) More

Incredibly Disappointing I bought my first car from this dealership (a used Subaru Legacy). I was disappointed with the lack of respect, honesty, and transparency. During nego I bought my first car from this dealership (a used Subaru Legacy). I was disappointed with the lack of respect, honesty, and transparency. During negotiations, I was told that they never allow a car to leave the lot if any required maintenance or parts are below 50% remaining lifespan. Their own inspection showed the front and rear brake pads to be at 4mm and 3mm respectively. I am not very car savvy but my boyfriend was with me and said that seemed low to him. They assured us that this was normal and wouldn’t be a problem. After signing for the car, we called the Webster Groves dealership’s service department and were told that new brake pads measure 11-12 mm in the front (10 at the smallest) and 8-9mm in the rear. Additionally, their online service page recommended pads be changed when they reach 3mm to avoid severe corrosion of the rotors. After multiple unreturned phone calls and voicemails, I finally reached someone who agreed to replace only the rear brakes “out of good will,” stating that both sets of brakes passed inspection because MO only requires them to be greater than 1mm. However, in my opinion, and based on information found on their own website, both sets of brake pads were significantly below 50% of their usable lifetime, and should have been replaced per their policy no questions asked. I do not recommend a business that does not honor their word and encourage you to buy a used car elsewhere. If you do come to this dealership to buy a used car, always be suspicious of the promises and claims they make. More
