While I've noted many of the good reviews for this dealership, I've definitely had a much better experience elsewhere; however, our sales associate Jim was wonderful, checking on us regularly to make dealership, I've definitely had a much better experience elsewhere; however, our sales associate Jim was wonderful, checking on us regularly to make sure we were doing okay and even stayed through the whole ordeal to shake my hand. Due to my payment circumstances, I was ready to write the check without the dealership's financing and leave with my car. However, I was pushed out of the finance office for a couple who had the intention of scoring dealership financing on a brand new vehicle, i.e., Sunset Hills would make more money. We were at the dealership for four hours for something that should have taken 2, with a 3 hour drive one way. I understand dealers are not familiar with witten personal checks and my loan officer dropped the ball a little, but I had the checks ready to write and should have been taken care of while Shay had me in the office. Guess what? The couple didn't make the deal, and Sunset Hills wasted two hours of my time. They remedied this by offering me a warranty at dealer cost. Thanks. Finally, when the dealership received my title weeks later, I was told I had to drive 3 hours to sign it. I contacted Erica and emailed Shay for other options, receiving no reply from either party. I called Erica again to be told that I needed to come in to sign. I contacted Jim, again, as he was the only employee to have the decency to reply with something constructive, and we settled the matter quickly so that I didn't have to drive 6 hours for one signature. For Shay: the bad mask review you mentioned isn't what sabotaged the dealership in this case. It was poor customer service. Nothing personal, I'm sure you had a stressful day, but please keep this in mind. Also, if masks are important enough to call out a paying customer, offer them at the door. EDIT: Got to the DMV to realize I was never sent the lien release from the previous owner. My DMV called Sunset Hills to find out where it was, and was initially told it was sent to me. First lie. Put on another five minute hold to find out that, in fact, Sunset Hills didn't even have the lien release AFTER 27 DAYS, and that I was told that they didn't have it and I requested that it be sent to me. Second lie. I am liable for penalty because Sunset Hills can't get their xxxx together. Luckily, my DMV was just as appalled by the dealerships lies and offered to waive the penalty. For the sake of your pocketbook, time, and sanity, skip this dealership and look elsewhere. More
Incompetency or outright fraud? Wanted a specific car (outback in green metallic) for wife as birthday gift. Knew exact car, color and features. Advised by dealer rep that didn't have car currently in s (outback in green metallic) for wife as birthday gift. Knew exact car, color and features. Advised by dealer rep that didn't have car currently in stock but found one at at another dealer out of town which would be delivered by her birthday in one week and quoted me an exact price. Repeated the precise number and asked if that included everything and was the price for the exact car and was assured that it did and was. Only issue was whether could get car by wife's birthday so waited to hear. Checked in the next day a Saturday and still working on it but once again reconfirmed price as all in. Today called back and advised by same rep they had "good news" -they had a car now in stock matching exactly what I was looking for (minus one feature that would save me a couple hundred dollars). When asked the total price of this car told me a number over $2,000 more than previously quoted and confirmed on multiple occasions. New price applied to the car from other dealer as well. She tried to claim that prior quote was something different and did not include any upgrade for color, etc when had known all along the color and the precise car I was always looking for. Initially claimed I just heard it wrong, then finally said it was a mistake and everyone makes mistakes. Dishonest or disingenuous or incompetent. You pick. I wouldn't go to this dealer in the future. More
Just purchased my second car from Jason Blechle at Sunset Hills Subaru and everything went smooth and easy. It could not have been any easier. Jason was a pleasure to work with once again. He explained every Hills Subaru and everything went smooth and easy. It could not have been any easier. Jason was a pleasure to work with once again. He explained everything new in my new Outback. Financing was easy too. Great salesman and a great Subaru dealer. Yes I recommend everything there. More
Worst experience I've ever had at a dealership ever! Went to buy vehicle for my daughter who was with me. Then said vehicle sold already, after they said available. Daughter was almost crying when we left. to buy vehicle for my daughter who was with me. Then said vehicle sold already, after they said available. Daughter was almost crying when we left. Place is a joke. Sales Manager couldn't even call me back! Wouldn't buy water from this place of I was dying of thirst! It's a joke! More
I have nothing but good things to say about Sunset Hills Subaru. Their new space is beautiful and everyone was so friendly. I especially liked being greeted at the door by Buddy (their mascot). Jim was my d Subaru. Their new space is beautiful and everyone was so friendly. I especially liked being greeted at the door by Buddy (their mascot). Jim was my dealer and he was such a pleasure to work with. I initially went in to "look" at a car and ended up driving it home. Jim made the process easy and painless. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a Subaru to Jim and Sunset Hills Subaru. More

As soon as I walked in the door of the new car building (the used car is in a different building down the street...which is fine, I just didn’t know that), there were were maybe 3 or 4 people all gathered (the used car is in a different building down the street...which is fine, I just didn’t know that), there were were maybe 3 or 4 people all gathered together just to the left of the door talking as I walked in. Even the young lady who asked us what we were looking for was just sitting on a stool. If this was her “desk” because it is a small building, that is fine, but other people shouldn’t be gathered around her talking. Once I was directed to the Used Car (who a salesman happened to be standing right there) and I was allowed a test drive, I was told no negotiations were allowed...that “corporate” sets the price. Great if you are a person who likes that. Bad if you expect that, especially when the “fixed” price on a car had been lowered twice previously (on the car I was looking at). I know some dealers make a salesman ride with you and some don’t, but it was awkward, especially since this salesman was different than my original (who was off that day). In this age of coronavirus where masks and social distancing are important, these were not important to the new salesman...especially when riding in the car, but also in the building after the test drive. Jim was a pleasure to work with. No pressure whatsoever and he’s a very likable guy. I feel like financing drop the ball a bit and made it more difficult than it had to be, but in the end all was well. We’ and he’s a very likable guy.
