Cannot/will not fix the problem! I have taken our '08 Explorer in 3 times for lurching transmission problems & paid $100 each time with the Extended Warranty I bought from Ford Motor I have taken our '08 Explorer in 3 times for lurching transmission problems & paid $100 each time with the Extended Warranty I bought from Ford Motor for over $2000. Each time they say they cannot find any transmission problem. On the last visit they said it was the torque converter, which they claimed to have repaired...yet the transmission continues to jerk, lurch & hesitate. My husband is a mechanic & the knows the problem was not related to a torque converter-it is a faulty transmission that DOES NOT SHIFT correctly! For some reason this dealership's service dept. can't/won't repair the problem. They are a FORD dealer-They should be able to fix Ford vehicles! More
I will never go back I took my car for service at 9:30 A.M. they told me it was going to be a while so I took a ride home. They promised to call as soon as there was any new update, when I didn't hear from them around 3:41 I decided to give them a call. The tee receptionist who answered tried to transfer my call to the service department twice, the phone rung with no answer. She was finally able to connect me with someone only for me to get put on hold once more due to the simple fact this guy couldn't answer my question. When I asked the guy who finally picked up what the update on my car was he said they haven't even checked the car due to the fact the technician who was supposed to work on it was busy with another project and that he is almost done and will get on it as soon as possible. He also promised to call back in the next 45 minutes to update me on what was wrong with the car. I waited and waited that call never came. Around 5:51 p.m. I decided to call and see what was going on only for a sale representative to pick up and told me the whole dealership is closed for the day, the sale department is the only one still open. I asked to speak to a supervisor only for him to tell me everyone had left for the day. When I asked what my options are for getting my car back there was no sympathy from him whatsoever, all he kept saying is, "you're complaining to the wrong person, I don't work service I'm in sales, they'll be open tomorrow at 8, you can call and talk to them then". To make a long story short, these guys kept my car overnight without informing me and without providing me with any sort of transportation to get around. I would rather drive to the Ford dealership in Gainesville for my service instead of ever going back to this he'll ho. More
