We are sorry you feel that we did not repair your truck properly, but perhaps this explanation can clear up any misunderstandings. When you brought your truck to us, the DPFE sensor was faulty which indicated that the sensor and the pipe to the intake manifold of the engine were clogged. We repaired the sensor and the pipe, test drove the truck and released it to you. At the time, there was no indication that the EGR code (which indicates how exhaust gas is circulated) was faulty, so we felt no need to recommend that service, which would have cost you more money when it might not be needed. However, the aftermarket EGR valve did fail a few days later and you returned with your truck. As a goodwill gesture, we waived all labor charges and only charged you for the part. We thought that goodwill gesture would make up for the inconvenience of returning a second time. Sunrise Ford, which has been in business for 85 years, is proud of our high customer satisfaction rankings—among the highest in the state. I was sorry to hear about your online attempts to make a service appointment and the way we, and our system, dropped the ball. Your situation caused us to totally dissect our processes. We ended up having to get Ford involved to find out why your particular request was going to the sales department and not going to our service coordinator. Although it looks like your situation was isolated, Ford did have to make a software change and the problem has been rectified. I say this still taking total responsibility for your situation and once again offering up our sincere apology. I did want you to know that your correspondence is what caused us to dive in so deeply to fix the problem. We take great pride finishing #1 in Customer Satisfaction in the Miami Region for Ford Motor Company last year and know we must act quickly when things like this happen.
