They had to keep it but Ray, Mike and Brenda took great care of us and even worked out our rental car. They kept us informed every step of the way on the status of our car. They were wonderful and we will be back again because of the amazing customer service they provided. More

After purch Service department is inept. After 'total' inspection done on a truck I wanted to buy, the inspection they did came back with no problems. After purchasing the truck I took it to another dealer. They found a list of serious mechanical problems Sunrise failed to find, costing me huge money and time waste. The service manager, his manager, and the general manager, Daemuth Rooney, also failed to acknowledge the incompetence. Place is a sham. More
No problems with Sunrise Ford! I bought my Fiesta ST in Sep 2014. I spoke to the COSTCO rep and I was given a number $3,000 less than what another dealership wanted. Needless to say I bought my Fiesta ST in Sep 2014. I spoke to the COSTCO rep and I was given a number $3,000 less than what another dealership wanted. Needless to say, I bought the car. Nave never had a problem with the car and I get looked after by the Service Advisor, Mike and have never been insulted or verbally abused by any of the staff I know. I think the people with complaints have a personal problem! More

When I called and wanted them to check out the car, they said they would not look at it until I had 7500 miles on it. Ignoring this I made an appointment to have my car checked out. Mike said I only had 3000 miles on it. After I insisted, he took the car for a drive around the block. He asked me if they had told me that it was a dual transmission, I said NO! He said that Ford Focus had a problem with that item and even after bringing it in and having it fixed it might be ok for about 2 months. I asked him if I bought a lemon and he said yes. He said they will not look at it until I have 7500 miles on it. Never openened the hood - did not do anything. I called Ford in Detroit and through them I finally got an appointment and had to leave my car for 9 hours. When I picked it up, they did not do a courtesy car wash, and they did not fix the problem, but they said that I needed my transmission fixed and yes there was a problem. I would have to make an appointment, since they were so busy and had no opening until Ocotber 22 I will need to leave the car for 4 to 5 days. I asked if they would give me a loaner and they said it was not in my contract. I hate Sunrise Ford North Hollywood. I called Ford Detroit and they will arrange for me to have a loaner while my transmission is being fixed. Be afraid, very afraid especially if you are a woman. More

I wanted the base package, but the extremely pushy salesman convinced me to get the sport package because of the "awesome features." Without my asking, he snuck out to another location to get me the car of my dreams (ha). Then he told me there was no other car in the area like the one I was asking for. Since my wife and I had been there over 5 hours by that point, I said fine and took the car. In just over 4 months, I have had to bring it in for repair FIVE times, four of which were for the same issue. Then another time for a meeting with their customer service manager. In total, that makes five trips there to drop the car off, five trips back to pick it up. Every time I left, the issue was either not fixed or, even better, it was fixed but something ELSE was broken! I had to take time off work, work late to make up hours, skip lunches, beg rides from friends, etc. A major hassle just to get something I'm already paying for. Fine. All cars have bugs. I get that. But each time I brought it in, I was told by the "experts" there that I was wrong, everything was fine, it was in my head, there's nothing we can do about that (one of them, John, even yelled at me when I asked him to listen and stop just telling me what ISN'T wrong with the car - he's a real peach). It took a special meeting with the customer service manager (who is great, Sally Press is her name) and my demands to see the foreman to finally be heard. After 3 minutes with him, he confirmed there was indeed a huge problem. They gave me a rental and a few days later, it was fixed... but the window is now malfunctioning. I swear, I feel like they're just screwing with me on purpose or something. And each time they work on your car, you're given a survey and told that if you don't give them top scores in every area, they'll get in trouble and face disciplinary action. Even my Italian grandmother couldn't guilt trip like that. When I expressed my concerns to the sales manager (Ron St. John, I feel like I should mention you by name) I was offered 3 full tanks of gas to make up for the inconvenience. Fine, sounds good. However, to get those fillups, I would have to stop by, find him, and ask for a voucher. Then I could go to a nearby station and get the gas. So I had to stop by, hope he's working, wait for him to finish whatever he's doing, then ask him if I can please have my voucher like I'm asking for a hall pass to use the bathroom. That... wasn't gonna work for me. Luckily Sally stepped in at that point and gave me 3 free details and fillups, to which Mr. St. John rolled his eyes and said, "Fine. We'll have someone else take your car to the gas station for you." That's right, Mr. St. John. That's exactly what you'll do. In short (little late for that I guess), avoid this place like the plague. The car dealer stereotypes of sleazy, pushy salesmen, liars, incompetence, laziness, and just overall contempt for the buyer are all alive and well at Sunrise Ford. Do yourself a favor and strap a few flashlights to a shopping cart instead. At least when that malfunctions, you won't feel so bad about shelling out hundreds of dollars every month for it. Ugh. I can't wait for this lease to run its course so I can shove this car right back up their tailpipes. ps - I should also mention that after trip number 3, I asked the repair technician (the peach) why, if they are constantly having these issues with the cars as I kept hearing from him, don't they inform the customer of these issues at the time of purchase? He told me, "Well if they'd told you that at the beginning, you'd have gone and gotten a Toyota instead!" Ah, the joys of honest dishonesty. More

Also had a small issue with hesitation at low end so they performed an "inspection" at an additional $140. They advised this was due in part to a sticking throttle body which I was advised needed replacing at $600+. (after bringing the car home and cleaning out the throttle body. The car runs fine.} They never inspected the throttle body. 2. Upon picking up my truck, there was now a large crack running down the windshield. Service advisor said this was likely due to the dealership putting cold water on the windshield when they washed the car after service. Said they would fix it and said he would call me by Tuesday to advise on repair. 3. Called Friday as I had not heard from them. Said they would put in a used windshield. Said this will not do as my windshield is in perfect condition and I am not taking anything that is not in perfect condition, cannot be guaranteed, and has come from a wrecked vehicle. This also goes against Ford replacement standards. 4. Said to bring car down for the service manager to inspect. Went today and service manager left slightly early. (Side note: As another service person, Sean was insulting another customer saying they don't make the vehicles, Ford does, therefore they are not responsible, I chimed in telling him that was ludicrous and he informed me I am not part of the conversation. Seems to fit in with the general culture there. 5. Was directed to another young lady who was nice enough, but again I informed her I would not be accepting anything less than a new windshield. Said she would have Mike the service manager call me. 6. NOTE: If they refuse to install a new OEM windshield by a reputable installer to factory specs, I will File suit immediately and post a link to a copy of it and the judgement here and at every other major review site. This in addition to letters to Ford and other local business organizations and consumer boards that could possibly affect their business. My business associates are on the Toluca Lake Chamber Board and we are affiliated with all of the local studios. Now My Opinion: As of now, I would highly recommend service or vehicle purchase at another dealership. To remain impartial I will not give names, but there are a couple of other good dealerships in other areas of the valley. Even if you have to pay a little more, go somehwere else. I have yet to speak with the service manager, but will update here after I do. This review will have a few chapters or updates. Against my better judgement I went here out of convenience. I usually go to another dealership that is outstanding. There are several negative reviews, and though maybe not well articulated, they seem to be accurate. They defintely have some bad element here and it is so void of basic customer service as to insult the intelligence of most people More
