I shopped all over San Diego looking for the Forester I wanted. When I got to subaru mazda El cajon I was shocked at how freindly and easy they were to work with! They didnt push things I didnt need on the vehicle and I walked out with everything i wanted. Im still over the moon with my experience. My mom lives 2 hours north and was with me for the purchase. The staff at Subaru of El Cajon were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Due to my work schedule I wasn't able to arrive at the dealership until late and the staff were very understanding and frie helpful and knowledgable. I could get a sense of real passion for cars from him and it made me feel more assured with my purchase of my 2013 Subaru BRZ. He assured me I was making the right choice by going with Subaru. Lynn was also very helpful, friendly, and funny. Buying cars have always made me feel nervous because it's a big life decision but Lynn was very patient and friendly and made me feel comfortable and not pressured at all. I'm usually very hesitant about car shopping due to my last experiences with sales people being very pushy but the staff at Subaru of El Cajon were as patient And friendly as I could have hoped for. They didn't mind my questions and always answered them calmly courteously and knowledgeably. I cannot express how amazing the team here was. I would definitely recommend Subaru and especially the staff at El Cajon. You can't go wrong here. More

This was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. I financed a 10,000 dollar used car, as-is, from Subaru of El Cajon. When I went to check the car out everything was, as you'd expect, pristine. The mi financed a 10,000 dollar used car, as-is, from Subaru of El Cajon. When I went to check the car out everything was, as you'd expect, pristine. The miles were low, the price was fair for the market we're in, and it only had a few owners. So how come 3 days after I buy it it doesn't start, the tail light's broken, and literally, the side view mirror fell off. I went back to speak with one of the salesmen and brought up the issues. The brake light was fixed, (they just took out a fog light bulb and put it in the brake light slot so now I only have one fog light in the back) but I couldn't replace the mirror because you have to order it from Volvo. A few weeks went by with, as some of you may have experienced with these horrible people, ignored calls, no call backs, and being hung up on as soon as they recognize your number. Briefly after this I took a trip up to Temecula from SD and discovered that my car wouldn't start. This time for good. The mass air flow sensor was shot and it had to be replaced. I called them for hours and when I finally reached someone that would bother to listen they said it was as-is and there was nothing they could do, even though I tried to have this problem addressed civilized and immediately after buying the car. So today, a few days after my check engine light came on, I had it diagnosed and the timing belt, as well as the water pump were shot and needed to be replaced. They said that this was going on from the beginning and this was the reason my car would not start. I beg of you, If you see a used car on this dealerships lot do not buy it, save yourself the trouble and walk right past it to Honda or Toyota across the street. Do not believe anything these people tell you. They do not care what kind of a car they sell you or what condition it's in, so long as they get that contract signed. More
