The whole thing, from initial visit up to final purchase, went very smoothly. Royal was upfront, very knowledgeable, and provided nothing but excellent customer service. In contrast with another dealership down the road from them, it was night and day difference. I never felt pressured to buy nor experienced any scare tactics. I came in to check out the 2015 Mazda CX-5 and to look at the 2015 Crosstrek XV. Randall assisted my girlfriend and I and offered to take us for a test drive. They have a great test drive route established, not too stressful of a route for southern California and it allowed me to see the full performance range of the car. Randall was a pleasure and very knowledgable. I went to a few other dealerships that day but ended up coming back that evening to buy the Crosstrek. Randall wasn't pushy like other car salesman. When I decided to buy the car, he helped me through the whole process, provided snacks and a relaxed atmosphere, and helped me negotiate a great price. After the deal was finalized, he gave my girlfriend and I a personal and very thorough tutorial on the car and all of its features. He gave us a lot of personal attention and instruction, more than I've experienced from any other dealership. Since buying the car, he has followed up several times to see if I have any questions or concerns and has already scheduled my first complimentary oil change 5 months from now. I would recommend buying a car here for the ease of experience and the great customer service. More

Working with Royal Wilkinson made the entire process of purchasing a new car I just drove home in my new 2015 Subaru Outback 3.6 for the first time. Working with Royal Wilkinson made the entire process of purchasing a new car such a pleasure. I knew exactly which vehicle I wanted to buy so I surveyed other dealership prices and Royal bested them. I planned on using the proceeds of my old vehicle toward the purchase of the new one and he was able to give me the best trade-in price. Royal placed a factory order for my desired car and it was delivered a bit earlier than promised. When I arrived to pick it up Royal was very personable and patient, explaining everything in detail to ensure my understanding of the many features of my new Subaru. Before I left the dealership we examined the new vehicle together and he even took me on a test drive to demonstrate some of the more complex installed options. I highly recommend both Subaru/Mazda of El Cajon and Royal Wilkinson, Internet Sales Manager. My thanks for a job exceeding well done and for your commitment to strive for perfection. More

mixed feelings We were 'left hanging' for over 30 minutes by our appointed salesman Randall. While walking around the lot, we met another salesman 'Jessie' who saved our day. He was new but friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Our test drive of a '15 Forester resulted in an immediate love of the vehicle. It was perfect for us and what we were looking for. Our application process was understandably lengthy due to our lack of established credit...yet their finance department was able to get us financed when no one else would. However a word to the wise, make sure you deal with "Ronnie" in the finance department and NOT "Lisa". She definitely needs work on her people skills. All-in-all we are very happy campers with our new 2015 Forester. We have no reviews of the service department as we have yet to meet them. But when you drive off in your new Subaru, make sure you get the full tank of gas that you were promised on the window sticker, we didn't. It just happens that that lengthy day was ending in a windy rain storm so we told our salesman Jessie not to worry about the 1/4 tank of gas. It was not his fault. We were just happy to be driving off in an awesome new Subaru. All in all?...YES Deb and I would recommend Subaru El Cajon to anyone in the market for a new car. Overall we would give our personal experience a 4 1/2 star rating. More
