The service (vehicle inspection) was quick and efficient. The customer service representative was very helpful going over the process for a vehicle inspection, so I knew what to expect. Check engine light , runs rough when star , wheel bearing , My first call to set an appointment I informed the person I had a platinum Toyota extra care warranty and my vehicle had 44000 miles and I would need My first call to set an appointment I informed the person I had a platinum Toyota extra care warranty and my vehicle had 44000 miles and I would need a rental . I was informed I would have to pay for rental or I can call Toyota . I did and they informed me my warranty covers rental. I called back set and appointment for last Friday 9th and told someone would call me right back about the loaner . After not receiving a call I called back Friday at 1pm . They said bring it down they have to pull the code and make sure it’s covered under warranty . I had already checked myself it’s po304 which is cylinder 4 misfire which would explain why it runs rough when cold. I showed up and the assistant service manager was rude right from jump staying I’ll have to wait cuz she starving and didn’t take her lunch and she had to get chips . While telling her the issues with the car she wrote what she wanted on the repair order not exactly what I stated . I then explained I needed I rental or loaner and it’s covered under my extended plan . She stated oh now I need to look that up I need your vin . she looks it up says you bought it from McGhee not sure what that has to do with repairing my vehicle . She then writes in on the work order and says sign her I said what am I signing for . She stated we have a 1 hr . $122 diagnostic fee , I said my car is under warranty and the check engine light is on I’m not paying a diagnostic fee . She said it’s just in case . So I sign . She tells me ha e a seat it will be an hour I can’t give a rental till I know what going on . About an hr and 10 min later . I get called to come on the shop. I meet her and the tech and they explain they roadtested the vehicle although I didn’t noticed it left the shop . And the found a plastic splash shield underneath scratched up . I said so are you telling me that the where the wheel bearing humming/ grinding noise is coming from . They said no but we will secure it. Then I said so the real reason why I’m here is the check engine light what going with that . It’s a cylinder 4 misfire we checked the coil and the spark plug( while hot not while starting in morning) and cleared the code . So I look at them and say so if you think I’m paying a $122 diagnostic for that your crazy . The check engine like came on and my vehicle is under warranty I’m not paying . They drove the car around and I took it . I will not be back and will not recommend anyone to come here . One good thing I will say is the girl checking in the service cars when you first drove in seemed very nice . More
