Go see the Magic Man, Nick Burns! This past December I stopped into Suburban Ford of Ferndale with my four-year-old daughter in tow to passively check out new cars. At the time, I was driving a 2013 Ford Edge Sport which I had considered swapping out for something a bit smaller and more cost effective. Nicholas Burns greeted me, listened our circumstances, the desire to downsize and where I wanted my new payment to be. I couldn’t spend a whole lot of time in the dealership that evening, as I had mom business to tend to. Nick was super understanding, let me know he was going to keep working on a deal for me into the wee hours on the night if necessary and to expect a call from him regarding my options. Less than 24 hours later, I was dropping off my edge and picking up a brand new 2017 Ford Fusion SE the following afternoon, a roughly $200 drop to my monthly car payment and 0% interest. I was blown away, I owed more money on the edge than it was worth and trust me when I say my credit had seen better days. Nick Burns, the Magic Man and his manager Mike somehow made it happen, the result? Easily the best customer service and car buying experience ever! The car Nick put me in had exceeded my expectations and all I had to do was literally tell him what I wanted, stand back and let him work his magic! Great customer service buying and serving my cars I have been going to this dealership for 8 years and every time I went the staff have been excellent fulfilling my special requests and answering inqu I have been going to this dealership for 8 years and every time I went the staff have been excellent fulfilling my special requests and answering inquiries about new cars with great knowledgeable of the products and services they sell. I owed them this review. Matt Batulis has been my sales representative for the past 4 vehicles I have got from this dealership and he is very prompt on responding my questions and simplifying the paperwork for when I am buying or leasing the cars. The service department has been very nice to me each time I have brought the cars for regular service and for the few time I have had issues with the vehicle. Even the time my tire pressure monitor were failing because a radio frequency interference caused because of my cellphone. It took two months to figure it out but finally got resolved. I know cars are not perfect and sometimes they seem to have a mind of their own but at least I know I can count with the team from Suburban Ford of Ferndale to resolve the issues with my cars and to get great deals with new ones. After only 4 months of having it a whole list of problems went wrong to the point a mechanic shop told me its not even worth fixing up. The heat went out and i had to drive the car in negative degree weather. It stopped on me while i was driving which lead me to the mechanic shop after telling the manager brad that. And us going back and forth because they didnt want to do nothing about it, I say to him i guess its going to have to take for the car to stop on me and i get hit killed for you to care and he says he dont think its that serious. The total was not what it should have been to use the coupon, but he did deduct the amount from the payment! The service manager’s name is Michael Stoijadinov. I am in the process of buying my first car, came it at a time that was convenient for my dads schedule, which was during a snow storm. So I get why he may have been a bit snarky. He was helpful with the initial process of a walk around. However, after we test drive it we noticed an odd sound to which Jose said he would have someone look at it and call us back. I waited a few days and did not get a call back. I called him directly and his response was they had sold it already to someone else, and then when I asked if that is common practice he hung up on me. I am new to the car buying world and totally shocked by this. I had assumed that a used car lot would want to get rid of their cars and be eager to help me find a car. As someone who has worked in the service industry I have always put customers needs before mine and asked "I know this may not have worked out, but is there something else we can help you with?" I would be more then happy to give Suburban Ford my business. so please give your employees some training on how to deal with others. 1- If you are not availble to help someone, don't. 2- If you say you will call someone back and take their phone number- call them back. 3- If you can't get through- leave a message. 4- If they don't call back within 24 hours and someone else shows up and they are interested in the vehicle- sell it. 5- If the vehicle is sold and person A checks in regarding the vehicle- apologize (even if you are right) and offer to help them find something else. 6- If this is not something you can follow then maybe this is not the right job for you. 7- I am not going to say don't go there. They have some wonderful staff that were helpful in setting up the test drive and have great communication. Maybe they can help Jose out. More
Too many errors Typed in the wrong VIN number, told me my car isn’t registered under my name, didn’t apologize once realized it was employee error, typed in wrong mil Typed in the wrong VIN number, told me my car isn’t registered under my name, didn’t apologize once realized it was employee error, typed in wrong mileage and response was, “yeah that’s a misprint,” did not explain to me what I was signing for, just told me to sign the paper, was going to charge me for oil change that’s covered under my warranty and questioned me when I said that, overall unpleasant to talk with, told me I’m all set and to stand by the door & wait for my car to pull up...10 minutes later I’m still sitting here. Also want to charge me $564 to replace side view mirror. More
