I had to have a side mirror replaced. Pat and another gentleman, who's name I'm forgetting right now, helped tremendously. When I showed up to have the mirror replaced I had used duct tape to hold the gentleman, who's name I'm forgetting right now, helped tremendously. When I showed up to have the mirror replaced I had used duct tape to hold the broken mirror in place for the time being. The other gentleman actually took the time to scrub the duct tape adhesive off my mirror and completely clean it up for me; which was not necessary in the least as I was the one who put it there. Pat also stopped by to make sure I was taken care of in the end. Outstanding service like that is what brings a person back to Suburban Chev when other dealers & or shops are much closer. Chad H. Lance greeted me at the service desk and was anxious to help out with my service issue. Lance suggested a number of different solutions to my problem, allowing me to choose the one that worked for me. Lanc help out with my service issue. Lance suggested a number of different solutions to my problem, allowing me to choose the one that worked for me. Lance explained the option I chose and made sure that I understood, the steps involved and more importantly the time it would take. The time was 1 1/2 hours. I chose to wait and right on the button at 1 1/2 hours, lance called my name and processed my charges which was pleasantly less than what I expected. Lance was very professional in his customer service training and truly made me feel like I was the only customer that he was responsible for that day. Because of his great customer service I will be returning to Suburban Chevrolet, the next time my car needs servicing. More
Last year I brought my truck in because when it would rain, the floor in my truck would become wet with standing water. It was "fixed", but it was the last rain of the year. It started becoming wet again rain, the floor in my truck would become wet with standing water. It was "fixed", but it was the last rain of the year. It started becoming wet again this year, and Suburban Chevrolet said that they DIDN'T service my truck last year, and that they had NO record of my truck being in. Also, last year, my blower stopped working again. I had brought it in 3 years with the same exact problem, but I had an extended warranty, so I had to pay $100 each year to fix it. My warranty expired last year, so the service manager told me that it would cost $725 to fix it. I said that they fix it and it keeps going bad every year, so they DIDN'T fix ANYTHING. I told him to just put everything back the way it was and I was charged $95 or so for "diagnostics", which didn't tell me anything. So I went online and found out that inside the engine compartment, the fender was painted meaning that it didn't get a good ground because the grounding block didn't have good contact with the fender. I sanded the paint off of about 1 square inch of the fender and re-attached the grounding block with a washer. The blower now works and I have never had any problem with the blower since. But according to Suburban Chevrolet, I needed to spend $725 to "fix" the blower problem. The cost of a washer and 5 minutes of sanding the fender is a hell of a lot less than $725. Why didn't they do this in the first place? Why is it that someone like me who has absolutely NO experience assembling or working with cars could find out the real problem while trained automobile technicians couldn't? It would have saved me $300 for bringing the truck in every year for 3 years for this problem and $95 for some diagnostics last year that didn't tell me anything. If I paid for diagnostics, why didn't I get a full report of the diagnostics? I just got a report saying that driving my truck without them fixing it would be very dangerous and I run the risk of the vehicle catching on fire. Right... Patrick was cool about the whole thing though. I don't have any problems with him. More
I have left messages with several people on this already. I paid $100 to have mudflaps installed because I wanted them installed correctly, and they neglected to install the anti-scratch protection strips o I paid $100 to have mudflaps installed because I wanted them installed correctly, and they neglected to install the anti-scratch protection strips on the painted fender flares, completely unacceptable at that price. And as a bonus, they opened my door into something a scuffed my door. This is a brand new truck, first service appointment, and your guys scuffed my door, beyond unacceptable. Not the kind of service I was expecting. More
Thank you so much for taking care of me! I recently purchased a used Suburban and wanted to have my brakes checked before going over the warranty miles. Brought my car in to have the blinker light replaced. Took a little bit for someone to acknowledge me at the service desk, although there were 5-6 guys working there. Light was fixed fine. I had an app Took a little bit for someone to acknowledge me at the service desk, although there were 5-6 guys working there. Light was fixed fine. I had an appointment, it still took over an hour to get my car back, which seems a bit long for just a blinker light. They took it through the car wash and when I went to drive it home, I noticed there was a piece of the car wash rubber scrubber stuck under the molding on the side of the car. It had gotten caught in there and popped part of the molding off. So, I went back in, found my service guy. He came out and looked at it right away, had me drive around to the back to the body shop, where we waited a few minutes to see Eric Bourdage, the Body Shop Manager (he was with another customer). Eric looked at the molding right away, said it would need to be replaced and they could do that tomorrow (now today.) He said they could come & pick up my car at my workplace, to avoid the inconvenience of having to bring my car back, which I appreciated. Eric also taped down the molding with duct tape when I mentioned I was worried one of my kids would catch their pants or leg on the edge getting in & out of the car. Overall, everyone was very nice and apologetic and I will return to Suburban Chevrolet. But this particular experience was frustrating. More
I continue to bring my vehicle in and the problems still exist. I brought my Tahoe in numberous times to have the Rear Defrost Tab re-stuck back on window...it continues to fall off, even though we do not exist. I brought my Tahoe in numberous times to have the Rear Defrost Tab re-stuck back on window...it continues to fall off, even though we do not even use the back window hatch. I recently brought in my Tahoe to have tires rotated. Dealer did not reset tire pressure monitor system, had to come back. After it was reset, upon my drive home, the Park Assist feature did not work and I've been told it's a short. I fully believe this short was a result of the work done due to the tire rotation. Kelley was a courteous service manager to deal with and has offered somewhat of a resolution to my park assist error, but I am still not fully satisfied with the level of service I am receiving. More
I could not understand why there was not a more specific diagnosis of my car's issues, especially the cause of loud noise in the front end. Also, I know and believe me understand, that it was extremely busy diagnosis of my car's issues, especially the cause of loud noise in the front end. Also, I know and believe me understand, that it was extremely busy the day I visited but it took an hour and 15 min to do a simple oil change/filter? I was also told that my recommended reapirs were not warrantied(without anyone even checking that I know of)and that forced me to call Ryan Chev where I bought the car. On the other hand, Ryan's service people told me to bring the car out there and they would figure it all out and give me a loaner car for the night and moreover, thought any reapairs very might come under my extended warranty. So right now I will abstain from recommending Suburban Chev for service until I learn more from Ryan. Thank you! More
We had an oil change and two items that we wanted looked at by the mechanic. He informed us that the collant leakage problem was a recall, and would be repaired that day at no charge. We appreciate that t at by the mechanic. He informed us that the collant leakage problem was a recall, and would be repaired that day at no charge. We appreciate that the service people keep well informed of the recalls that affect our vehicles. We especially appreciate the friendly and accurate servce from Robert, the driver that drove me to my home and all others involved. Thank you! More
