The worst experience in buying a truck that was traded at Subaru of Troy. Clerical errors with the processing of the insurance charge and I had to request it 3 times for modification under Subaru's direction. After making a deposit to purchase the truck at the agreed price, the internet sale site continued to advertise the price $502.00 lower. I was told it was a mistake and if I broke the deal my deposit was at default. I asked if I could get some free oil changes and was told point blankly "We don't give out free oil changes". The buyer vehicle order at the closing was inflated 440 dollars more and this was not communicated to me; plus this was an error of the sales tax. Their adjustment was played as a new deal for me when in fact the price was the original price. After settling on the finance, my calls were ghosted along with emails sent. In trying to resolve a warranty issue, service appointment requests were difficult to obtain. The needed repair involved leaking oil hoses and should have been noticed at their initial check in. I was told I would get a full tank of gas, and this was not done. The truck I appreciate it but the service and respect were very lacking. I never want to deal with Subaru of Troy again. More
I just purchased a second time from Subaru of TROY. We were so pleased with our experience for a second time. We felt so comfortable working with Nate. There was no pressure and all questions were answered. Buying a car is not my favorite thing to do because I don’t like to feel pressured. I felt relaxed during my conversation, needed time to think, called back the next day and am so happy I again bought from this dealership. More
My wife and I were not sure what we wanted. Nate was helpful in going through the features that we were interested in and which car had those features. Just closed on a lease for a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek at Subaru of Troy. Brandon David was my salesperson. He was amazing, very helpful and patient. We were looking for a used car and our sales consultant, Jimmer, put a lot of effort into showing us vehicles, giving all the information we needed, letting us take a test drive and not putting pressure on Jimmer, put a lot of effort into showing us vehicles, giving all the information we needed, letting us take a test drive and not putting pressure on us for a sale. Rudy the financial consultant was friendly as well and just gave us financial options and extended warranty information in such a way that it just seemed as a courtesy. The next day when we drove the car onto the highway for a short distance, it started to vibrate in the rear. When we drove it back in, they were very apologetic and kept it overnight to fix the issue. The mechanic even drove it home that evening to make sure it was fixed. We understand that things can happen, but they definitely took care of us and were very courteous. All sales people in the dealership were very friendly. . We would definitely recommend buying your next car here. We intend to do that! More

I wish I could give Subaru of Troy zero stars. I have bought 10 cars in my lifetime, and this was by far the worst experience ever. If you want to buy from a stereotypical used car salesperson, I have bought 10 cars in my lifetime, and this was by far the worst experience ever. If you want to buy from a stereotypical used car salesperson, have a go with these folks. Told us they would “work with us” on pricing of a car, then gave us a whopping $200 off. We were trying to negotiate $1000 off a used car with an accident record. After days of discussion and test drives, we were offered $200 off the vehicle price and was told it was market priced right and that was the absolute best they could do. Needless to say, we promptly went to another dealership and bought a car for $2000 less and 1/3 the mileage. To make matters even worse, they dropped the ADVERTISED price of that car by $700, THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! The same car they said they couldn’t give more than $200 off. They are everything that makes a car purchase experience awful. They give all salespeople in every industry a bad name. More

My experience with Subaru of Troy could have easily received a five star review. The problem is that they decided to ignore a customer’s requests and demand more money for accessories that were negoti received a five star review. I was handed all of my paperwork and congratulated on my new purchase, and walked out the door. It was only when I returned inside to ask the salesperson (Brandon) a question about the car is when the finance manager approached me and claimed that the accessory that I had requested, a set of rain guards for the windows that were conveniently placed in the trunk of my new car were somehow not included into the sale price, as agreed that they would be. And then proceeded to ask how I would be paying for them. All due to a clerical error on his part when preparing the purchase agreement that was sent to the credit union that financed the sale. I refused to pay any additional fees after the sale was completed and returned the accessory that was supposed to be part of the deal. More
