To say that I am livid with my interaction with this dealership is an understatement, at best. I have copied my email to the service manager below, but I will be giving more backstory for additional con dealership is an understatement, at best. I have copied my email to the service manager below, but I will be giving more backstory for additional context. I was taking a road trip from Omaha, Nebraska to Seattle, Washington. Roughly 5 hours from my destination, my car had thrown a check engine code (P0117 for low voltage to the coolant temperature sensor). Car was also showing that the engine was overheating. Pulled over and saw that there was coolant leaking from the driver's side of the radiator. Had the car towed to the closest dealer (Subaru of Spokane) to have them diagnose the problem. They said there was a hole in the radiator which was causing the leak. I was charged $1,000 for a radiator replacement and coolant flush, which I reluctantly paid. I continue on with my road trip, not even 2 days later the car is now having the same issue as before with the same engine code. This occurred on Sunday, so the service department was not open. I had to buy coolant from parts stores to make sure I had a consistent supply as a workaround to get me down the road back home. I had gotten the car to a Subaru dealer in Boise, Idaho, where I then called Subaru of Spokane to inform them what happened and how they were going to make this right. Their service department had inspected the car and stated they could not find any external coolant leak, and Subaru of Spokane had claimed that this was not caused by their labor and would not be covering the cost for additional repairs. I had initially took my frustration out on the service advisor that was assisting me. For that, I do apologize. I then spoke with the service manager who reiterated that they would not be covering any additional repair costs because the department at the other dealer was not able to replicate the issue, stating that "your car is just overheating". Even now as I am typing this, there is still coolant leaking from the driver's side of the vehicle, which you can see evidence of in the photos attached. This is not acceptable, especially after the money I had paid you guys to have this issue resolved. You guys either created a new problem, or your diagnosis was improper. I should not be left to just pay for this and take it for what it is. Subaru of Spokane, all am I am asking is that you guys make this right... "Austin, I've attached a couple photos as evidence of the coolant leak that you guys are refusing to take responsibility for. As you can see in the first photo, there are blue stains from dried coolant on the driver's side valve cover. This was taken right before I had left the service center at the Subaru dealer in Boise, Idaho. The second photo was taken roughly 30 minutes after I had stopped to let the engine cool and refill the upper reservoir on the passenger side of the engine with more coolant. I had stopped to fill up with gas and, sure enough, blue coolant was leaking from the driver's side of the engine (as you can see in the photo). My car was not overheating at this time either. To say that this is expected behavior after a radiator replacement is ridiculous and asinine. As I mentioned during our phone conversation, I personally do all of the work on my vehicles and it was not doing any of this until after the labor that you guys did. I am not taking no for an answer on this matter. Something needs to be done by you guys. This is not OK. -Nathan" More

Steven Greene Acted in a Racist Manner I visited the dealership yesterday and I have been for years. When I went to pick up my car I was greeted by Steven and he told me he would be with me I visited the dealership yesterday and I have been for years. When I went to pick up my car I was greeted by Steven and he told me he would be with me shortly and continued working in his computer for about five minutes and then another person came in, an older white male, and Steven cordially started helping him and ignored me and didn't acknowledge my presence. I think because of my race he ignored me and did not greet me in the same way and I felt like it was a racist action on his part. The other service person realized what happened and said he would help me right away and he did but Steven never apologized or said anything when I asked why he refused to help me. The other service person was apologetic but the apology needed to come from Steven. The motto for the company is to make me feel like part of the family but if felt like I was back in the pre civil rights era. More
Service and Sales go the extra mile I had a dilemma in that I needed to have some major work done on my Outback but I was leaving on vacation in just a few days. Seemingly not enough tim I had a dilemma in that I needed to have some major work done on my Outback but I was leaving on vacation in just a few days. Seemingly not enough time to do what was necessary. So the Service dept rep (Steve Green) went to bat for me with Service manager Mark and they worked out the details to get the repairs done in time for our family outing. I have been part of purchasing 4 Subaru's at Subaru of Spokane. One for me, my wife, my mother-in-law, and recently for my daughter. They are just superb salesmen. More

(Stay away from Subaru in Spokane Valley) Today I brought my car in for an oil change. Aaron, an excellent young man, told me that Subaru was aware of some Subaru's having an oil consumption issue. My vin # put me in that catagory. They changed my oil and are running an oil consumption for 1200 miles. If my engine, does indeed, need a part to correct the issue, Subaru will take care of it. They shuttled me to work this morning and picked me up right on time. EVERYONE I have had contact with at this location has been outstanding. Their sales floor and service desk are immaculate. I am so glad I did not take my car in to another mechanic for oil change. I am sure I would not have been notified of the possibility of an issue. Subaru's of Spokane is honest and have integrity. Check them out! THANK YOU!!! More

They handled my concerns, frustrations and some servic Brief synopsis of review (in case you don't want to read my long story): Subaru stepped up. They handled my concerns, frustrations and some service based communication issues professionally. They did not have to do what they did but they did because they are an awesome auto dealer, service center and overall great company with GREAT people. I had my vehicle in to have a new set of all season tires put on, on October 11, 2016. On arrival for my appointment the service office was understandably busy, phones ringing, multiple service Advisors assisting clients and of course I wanted to get checked in and have my service start. The check-in process was a bit rocky but I was helped by Service Advisor, Aaron H. Aaron was pleasant and professional regardless of the chaos. I also reported another concern for my vehicle upon check-in and asked that Subaru test/inspect the vehicle to identify the problem so it could be fixed. Once my vehicle was taken back for service Aaron came to verify the tires I wanted and the price I was quoted. There was some confusion and misunderstanding regarding the fees and I was a bit frustrated. I had called prior to the service, price shopped and also expressed my desire to have an alignment done at the same time my tires were changed. I wanted to be sure I knew how much it was going to cost and what services I would be getting. After some discussion and confirmation with his fellow team members everything was clarified and Subaru honored the previously quoted prices although they did not cover all the services being performed. Everything went fine and I got my car back and went along my way. Jump to the following few days. When I started up my vehicle as I was leaving Subaru I noticed it did not "start right up" like normal. It didn't turn over like normal. I ignored it and thought was nothing, it would go away. The following morning (after my car had been in the garage all evening, the same thing happened). Then I went to run an errand for work and the car struggled to start again. I ended up calling Subaru and spoke with Aaron. He did some research and learned that the technician who serviced my car the day prior also noted a "slow start," unfortunately that was not reported to me. Aaron asked me to get my car back down to the dealership for a battery test, we arranged an appointment for the following afternoon. The next day, I got to work and had to leave for an errand around 11:00 am. I went out to start my car and it would not start at all. Super long story short, I had a failed battery and I was confused (when I took my car in for the tire change there was nothing seemingly wrong with the battery, my car was operating fine). Ultimately my vehicle was taken back to Subaru, a battery test performed and Subaru took care of me. They went above and beyond. The level of customer service and just general people service they provided was so great and very much appreciated. They did more than they had to and that is why I am and will continue to be a loyal Subaru fan and owner. More

I have yet to go in without them saying I need something else done or try to charge me for a service I am supposed to get free. I understand mistakes happen, and they are always quick to correct their "mistake". But sometimes it sure does feel like they are just seeing if I will notice. Maybe it's just me, but it happens every single time. The guys there are great but they should make it easier for me to trust them. More

I dropped of my OB for a 60k service, asked for inspection on brakes and to install a part I just purchased. When i picked up my vehicle no info on brakes part still in car. The employee at the counter knew absolutely nothing that happened with my vehicle, I can honestly say I feel like they just blew it off not what I expect from a dealership, said they performed work and charged me an arm and a leg. I asked about the brakes because they are squeaking and I wanted to know what was left, all I got was they must be good. I told the guy at the front counter that the part was in the car he said great we will get to it, when I picked it up it was still there no one had touched it, all I got was blamed. And they still put 3k miles on the oil change sticker even though Subaru recommends much farther. This is the second time I have used this service center I wouldnt recommend it, I know I will not be back. More
