My experience with Subaru of Spokane was a big disappointment. I will regale you as to the nature of my experience, and allow you to surmise the type of company you may be thinking of doing busine disappointment. I will regale you as to the nature of my experience, and allow you to surmise the type of company you may be thinking of doing business with. Set Scene: September 5th, My boyfriend and I go to look at a beautiful 2016 Honda CR-V. We work with Kelsey, she is a pleasant and helpful rep who answers all of our questions and takes us for a test drive. We proceed to do some research to decide if that is the best route as far as bang for our buck, and reliability, which it was. We returned to Subaru on Sunday September 18th, we continue to work with Kelsey. The CR-V is still available so, I'm elated! We end up working with Tyler in their financing department. After spending about 4 hours at the dealership. Tyler returns to us, to inform us that he isn't able to find anyone who wants to finance us, weird. Back story here: my credit needs some love, my boyfriends however is superb. They tell us, that due to us living at different locations they can't provide financing without doubling the interest rate. So, from a 6.5% estimated up to a 13%... all due to our addresses. So, while a bit confused I left without the car. Two days later, we run the credit with Global CU and they approve us at 7%. Hallelujah! I call to see if the vehicle is still available, and to my surprise! It is! Boy, it sure seems like this car was just waiting for me, given the current used car market. I contact Kelsey back and I let her know that I was able to get financing and I would like to make that same deal happen. She lets me know, that they cannot hold cars, and I would need to come in and sign some paperwork. I say, I'm unable to make it down today.. I guess I'll just have to hope that the car is there tomorrow (Thursday the 22nd, if you're trackin). I call back Thursday morning AND.. the car is there but, Kelsey has the day off (thank goodness, we all need those). She still wants to try and help facilitate the deal. Again, very sweet girl. I call over and speak with Tyler on the phone and tell him, "Hey man, I was able to get financing. Can we make that car deal happen?" He proceeds to tell me that he will call over to the bank and get things rolling. I tell him that I can bring a check to him and we can wrap things up. They send me the purchase order, I provide that information to my bank, and they have a check ready and waiting for me. Proceed to about 2:30 PM and to my surprise, Kelsey text me and says, "Hey, they sold that CR-V to somebody else". Now friends, you might be thinking... "What in the Expletive", How in the world, and, why in the world would they do that?! Now, I call over and I ask to speak with Tyler again, I already have a check written out to this company for $25,000 per our agreement. He tells me he wasn't aware another deal was being written for a different customer. Now, I don't believe that for one second. I asked him to have his manager call me back, that I was upset and I wanted to understand how something so crazy could happen.... it is now October 5th. I never received that call back, never got an apology, or even an attempt to even help me to find a different vehicle. Nope, no accountability or even a lick of care for the person who is buying the car. Sure, and while, things happen... and who knows, maybe Tyler was oblivious. I will give you the nail to this coffin. Two weeks later, we receive letters in the mail as to why we were denied on our loan. The amounts being requested were well over the agreed upon loan amount. The loan amount being requested was $25,000. The amount on my denial letter from multiple banks is $30,000. Now, you tell me... does that seem like something a reputable company would do? Nope, me ether friends.... so, if you can learn anything from my experience, it would be, STAY very very FAR away from this company. More

To say that I am livid with my interaction with this dealership is an understatement, at best. I have copied my email to the service manager below, but I will be giving more backstory for additional con dealership is an understatement, at best. I have copied my email to the service manager below, but I will be giving more backstory for additional context. I was taking a road trip from Omaha, Nebraska to Seattle, Washington. Roughly 5 hours from my destination, my car had thrown a check engine code (P0117 for low voltage to the coolant temperature sensor). Car was also showing that the engine was overheating. Pulled over and saw that there was coolant leaking from the driver's side of the radiator. Had the car towed to the closest dealer (Subaru of Spokane) to have them diagnose the problem. They said there was a hole in the radiator which was causing the leak. I was charged $1,000 for a radiator replacement and coolant flush, which I reluctantly paid. I continue on with my road trip, not even 2 days later the car is now having the same issue as before with the same engine code. This occurred on Sunday, so the service department was not open. I had to buy coolant from parts stores to make sure I had a consistent supply as a workaround to get me down the road back home. I had gotten the car to a Subaru dealer in Boise, Idaho, where I then called Subaru of Spokane to inform them what happened and how they were going to make this right. Their service department had inspected the car and stated they could not find any external coolant leak, and Subaru of Spokane had claimed that this was not caused by their labor and would not be covering the cost for additional repairs. I had initially took my frustration out on the service advisor that was assisting me. For that, I do apologize. I then spoke with the service manager who reiterated that they would not be covering any additional repair costs because the department at the other dealer was not able to replicate the issue, stating that "your car is just overheating". Even now as I am typing this, there is still coolant leaking from the driver's side of the vehicle, which you can see evidence of in the photos attached. This is not acceptable, especially after the money I had paid you guys to have this issue resolved. You guys either created a new problem, or your diagnosis was improper. I should not be left to just pay for this and take it for what it is. Subaru of Spokane, all am I am asking is that you guys make this right... "Austin, I've attached a couple photos as evidence of the coolant leak that you guys are refusing to take responsibility for. As you can see in the first photo, there are blue stains from dried coolant on the driver's side valve cover. This was taken right before I had left the service center at the Subaru dealer in Boise, Idaho. The second photo was taken roughly 30 minutes after I had stopped to let the engine cool and refill the upper reservoir on the passenger side of the engine with more coolant. I had stopped to fill up with gas and, sure enough, blue coolant was leaking from the driver's side of the engine (as you can see in the photo). My car was not overheating at this time either. To say that this is expected behavior after a radiator replacement is ridiculous and asinine. As I mentioned during our phone conversation, I personally do all of the work on my vehicles and it was not doing any of this until after the labor that you guys did. I am not taking no for an answer on this matter. Something needs to be done by you guys. This is not OK. -Nathan" More
