this dealership stands behind their vehicles I traded in my late husbands car and purchased a Mazda 3 from this dealership in October of 2017, it was my first major purchase since my husbands pas I traded in my late husbands car and purchased a Mazda 3 from this dealership in October of 2017, it was my first major purchase since my husbands passing, they didn't know this. A family friend came and checked out the vehicle best he could, we purchased it. My son drove it for a month or so and said there's a strange noise coming from the engine so we took it to our mechanic and he said " doesn't sound good, I think you need to take it back to where you bought it." I told him its been just over 30 days and i didn't get the extended warranty. My mechanic said "try, you might be surprised ", BOY was I! When i walked in the dealer i asked for the manager and tto my surprise out came Matt Lokey, the dealership owner. I told him i had a problem with my recent purchase and I purchased this vehicle here rather than at some "SAND LOT" because i knew they had been in the area a long time and were going to stand behind this car. Mr Lokey appolagized and said they would look into it and put me in a loaner car till further notice. He gave me his personnel cell number and said if i have any questions to call him personally. It took a few weeks and what this dealership did was ended up dropping another engine in it with 30,000 LESS miles on it and gave me a one year parts and labor warranty also!!!! I was amazed by the compassion this dealership had and the personnel attention they gave me to say the least! Thanks to Mr Matt Lokey, Wes and the neighboring Mazda dealer who diagnosed the final issue, I cant further express how HAPPY I am I Bought MY CAR at Subaru of Port Richey. it wasn't til after the fact that I told Wes that my husband had passed and that this car was my first major purchase, so" NO PITY" just Fantastic ALL around!!! thank you sooooo much. I commend you. Everyone I've told the story to can't believe it! thanks again for standing behind your vehicles. CB More
Disappointment Averted When I called a week in advance to set up an appointment for service I was told a loaner would be available for me. When I arrived at the service department a week later I was told by the service rep that a loaner would not be available to me. The reasons were weak and lame. To his credit, the service rep put a rush on my service and I only waited 30 minutes to have an answer to my problems with the vehicle. They did not have the parts necessary so I was told I would be called when the part does in fact arrive to their location. More
