For the past 6-7 years and 3 Outbacks, I have chosen to get my car serviced at SOG. The main reason for this is JILL THURSTON. In fact, I have 2 Subaru dealers closer to me than SOG, but I go out of my w get my car serviced at SOG. The main reason for this is JILL THURSTON. Now, she's an award winning Subaru Service Person...who knew? I must say, when I buy my next Subaru...it will be Jill's fault...ha! More
We tried taking our Forester to a chain car service place for about 2 years when we lived further away from the dealership, but paid the price in terms of the level service and the level of expertise that wa for about 2 years when we lived further away from the dealership, but paid the price in terms of the level service and the level of expertise that was given to taking care of our car. We are glad to be back at Subaru of Gwinnett because they have experienced mechanics and service personnel who really know Subarus and take pride in the work they do, knowing it keeps me and my family safe on the road. Jill has always been our service advisor, while Alyssa filled in a couple of times. Jill always greets us with a smile on her face, is honest about what really needs to be done on our car and never pressures us to do unnecessary work. More

Jill Thurston has been my service rep since the purchase in 2008 of a 2006 Forester Turbo. She has consistently provided excellent service work on my Subaru. She rescued me from a dismal subaru dealer/service in Texas when I was stranded and couldn't get any service- she intervened on my behalf. I was a victim of the economy turn down for over a year and thanks to Jill I was able to maintain my car and its service due to the fact she worked miracles. Because of Jill I keep returning and have converted several friends and colleques to the subaru family. Shes a keeper. More
Nelson and Jill saved my day and a trip to Florida to visit my mother! I had work done at another Subaru dealer on Friday,in preparation for a 6 hour drive on Saturday. This 30,000 service included tir visit my mother! I had work done at another Subaru dealer on Friday,in preparation for a 6 hour drive on Saturday. This 30,000 service included tire rotation. I drove around town, running errands, after the service was completed on Friday. When I got on the highway on Saturday morning I discovered a terrible vibration in my tires and steering wheel. The Subaru dealer that had serviced my vehicle was, to my dismay, closed. My husband called Subaru of Gwinnett and I turned around and went there. Nelson greeted me, Jill had my car taken care of and I was back on the road in about an hour and a half after y tires were balanced. Of note, I had asked the first dealer to take care of a recalled rear seat belt issue, both on the phone when I made the service appointment and again when I brought the car in on Friday. I failed to look at my receipt to see if the seat belt replacement had been done. It had NOT. Jill noticed this on my car's computer records and it was taken care of on Saturday. I no longer trust the first Subaru dealer to provide service and will never return there, though it is only 2 miles from my home. I will return to Subaru of Gwinnett for future service. Thank you, Nelson and Jill Thank you, too, to Jim Heet, who addressed my questions re: possibly trading in my 2010 Forester for a 2013 model. I will call him if I decide to do so.
