Our 2007 Forester had some problems with the motor and we needed some major work. We live (having moved) in Northern AZ and didn't know where to go. The Chandler Dealership was awesome. They kept us informed during the month and told us what was going on. When your spending so much money getting the car fix, you want to know what is going on. When we picked the car up, within 10 miles, the radiator hose blew. They sent out a service man and totally took care of us and made things were set. Also the dealership was very clean and they had snacks while we waited. Thank you Gil and Dulcinea for such great service! More

I established a very trusting relationship with Mike Harris, Service Advisor; several years ago. The location of the dealership is very conveniently located to our residence. Had a decent enough experience buying the car, but the service department was another story when I went to get my accessories installed. They forgot to tighten a hose, and my car died while merging onto t service department was another story when I went to get my accessories installed. They forgot to tighten a hose, and my car died while merging onto the freeway immediately afterwards, putting me into a dangerous position. I was not offered any kind of compensation for my time since I live an hour away and had to make a second trip, the inconvenience, or the danger they put me in due to their complete negligence. Not even an apology. More
I know that when I take my Subaru Outback in for service that I will always be greeted before I get in the door by Kristi. I am always told exactly what and why a service needs to be performed on my car whe that I will always be greeted before I get in the door by Kristi. I am always told exactly what and why a service needs to be performed on my car when needed and I never feel like I don't know what I had done. Kristi is very thorough when explaining service issues with my car. I leave feeling very satisfied. More
Honestly this dealership is, in my opinion, the gold standard to which all other dealers should be judged, regardless of brand. I've been going to the Subaru Superstore since the weekend they opened standard to which all other dealers should be judged, regardless of brand. I've been going to the Subaru Superstore since the weekend they opened and now have purchased a new vehicle from them in addition to the 2 others that my family already had. Yesterday was the first service due on my 2012 Impreza Sport and in the same fashion I've come to expect from the Superstore in the past 2 years of servicing my old Subaru, the work was done quickly and professionally. The staff are genuinely personable and are willing to take the time to not only discuss your issues, but also remember you and who you are from previous visits. I always love dropping in during my service appointments to just say hello to Kristi or Brent. Do not hesitate to bring your Subaru here for service or shop here for your newest purchase, unlike other Subaru dealers in the valley they don't expect your business, they EARN your business, your trust, and your respect and will continue to earn it for years after the sale. I am always talking to my friends and family about how impressed I am with the service department at the Subaru Superstore in Gilbert, and especially with Mike Harris. Mike has been my service manager sin impressed I am with the service department at the Subaru Superstore in Gilbert, and especially with Mike Harris. Mike has been my service manager since I bought my Forester and he is such a great person! Having someone I can trust when it comes to dealing with car service is invaluable to me - I genuinely feel like he is looking out for my best interests. He is knowledgeable, friendly and always accommodating. I absolutely love my Forester and simply based on the car itself, I would say I am likely to always drive a Subaru ... but it is the quality of service that tips the scale for me so that I feel confident stating that I WILL always drive a Subaru. Thank you, Mike and everyone else at The Subaru Superstore - everyone I have ever encountered there has made my experience a positive one! More
Noises between the shift / brake interlock started making Noises between the shift / brake interlock started making noise after several thousand miles and the explaination from the factory rep is that it is Noises between the shift / brake interlock started making noise after several thousand miles and the explaination from the factory rep is that it is characteristic of the Outback and there is no fix! There are several websites with customers experiencing the same defect but Subaru is not interested in addressing the issue. In my opinion it's an expensive fix or design error that cannot be changed after manufacture. Any failure is probably expected to happen after the warranty period. Mike and Gil did the best they could.. My issue is with Subaru and their ambivalence to correcting the admitted defect. The owner of the Dealership has contacted me and I encourage him to direct his influence toward Subaru to protect the reputation of the dealership. More
I’d been using a dealership which was only two-hours from home; but concerns about the service there induced me to seek a dedicated Subaru dealer for the 105,000-mile replacement of the “camshaft drive belt” home; but concerns about the service there induced me to seek a dedicated Subaru dealer for the 105,000-mile replacement of the “camshaft drive belt” (according to the maintenance schedules in both the owner’s manual, the shop Service Manual, and the Subaru Superstore’s on-line 105,000-mile service recommendation). Although the Subaru Superstore is a three-and-a-half-hour drive from my home, it looked like a facility that would be perfect for such a critical service. I phoned the Superstore, discussed my primary and “in addition to” service items I wanted done with Gerald Zach, and scheduled delivery of the Forester the following Wednesday afternoon, so the shop would have all day Thursday to do the work. We picked up the vehicle late Thursday PM. My review of the invoice at my daughter’s home that evening revealed that the primary task of replacing the “camshaft drive belt” had not been done - just the “in addition to” items. I phoned Jerry Friday AM; and, after a phone-wrestling/consternation/back-and-forth routine (my use of Subaru’s “camshaft drive belt” terminology in lieu of “timing belt” apparently being the source of the problem), Jerry worked with the service manager to give me the best possible repair cost, and provided a loan car. My final total was LESS than it would have been to accomplish the task in one day. The Subaru Superstore facility and staff are excellent. Although my ratings for this visit are lower than they would have been had the job been completed the first day (and will probably be higher in the future), the “above and beyond” efforts of Jerry and personal attention by the service manager, Gil Waters, to assure my satisfaction the second day mean that the Superstore is my place of choice for future service.
