Service has gone down hill and are no longer trustworthy I brought my Outback in for service due to the check engine light throwing codes for Cylinder misfires. It was similar to the problem I had 50K miles I brought my Outback in for service due to the check engine light throwing codes for Cylinder misfires. It was similar to the problem I had 50K miles earlier which on required plugs and wires. This time I was told I'd need an engine. I brought the car home and started it at night to see the wires arcing. I replaced the plugs and wires for less than $100 and I was back in business. This isn't the first time I've had a problem but it seems like they're more interested in selling new cars than keeping the older ones running. I can't trust them anymore. More

Service is confusing. I have been using the Service at Mastro for over 5 years. I go solely for the free oil changes. I always am advised that an expense extra service is I have been using the Service at Mastro for over 5 years. I go solely for the free oil changes. I always am advised that an expense extra service is needed. I always take the car afterwards to my own certified mechanic. Most of the time the suggested service is not needed. When it is needed my mechanic does the repair at 15 - 205 less cost. So far no problems with my mechanics work. We are talking over 5 years now. My oil light comes on between changes at about 3K miles. This problem has been going on fro 5 years. It is always at least a quart low. Mastro Service has done many consumption tests and replaced parts, to no avail. On my last visit I was told and showed in the manual this was normal. Why wasn't I told this 150K miles and many visits ago? Why dosen't this happen with the other two Subarus in my family? My Forester 30K mile service cost $50 more than my daughters 30K mile service for her same year CrossTRek? The service was the same. Truly disappointed with the Forester perfrormance and service. Sales is average. More
