I rate Streetside Classics because of the poor condition of the vehicle sold to me. It is a 1966 Fairlane GT. The car arrived and within 50 miles of driving I had power steering fluid all over my garage, requiring replacement of the power steering system - pumps hoses etc, The stteering was loose and dangereous and I had to replace most of the front suspension - including ball joints, tie rods, shocks. Within 100 miles I had oil pouring out of the rear main seal. They must have put a liquid sealer to hide the leaks. None of the electonics worked. No horn, radio, gas gauge, brake light (worked once in a while). These all had to be repaired or replaced. All this was bad enough until after 2000 miles of easy driving the engine profusely leaked motor oil all over the manifold and engine compartment, coming out of the oil filler cap like a gieser! This was such a mess I couldn't drive the car fearing an engine fire. My mechainc has advised me to do an engine rebuild - about a $8,000 job. After close examination of the under panels on the fenders )both sides) there was rust. I had considered getting a lawyer, but had already put so much money into the car. The car was purchased for $29,500, about $9,000 more than the book value. I had no problem with this for a car that was mechanically sound. Beware of this dealer. They are brokers only and do not check the cars and never tell you whats wrong with the cars. A fellow Rhode Islander also bought from this company and , yes, he bought a lemon too. If you have a lemon you want to dump, Streetside Classsics in Atalnta is the place to go. More
