My overall experience with Phillip Franco and Stone Mountain VW was exceptional. Philip was very easy to work with and answered all the questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend Phillip and Stone Mountain VW was exceptional. Philip was very easy to work with and answered all the questions thoroughly. I would highly recommend Phillip and Stone Mountain VW to anyone. It's been over 6 months since we purchased our CC from Stone Mountain VW and Phillip still checks up on us regularly to make sure the car is performing well. I own a major luxury brand car too and I have never had any other sales person call me to check up on me or even wish me happy holidays. More

Unfortunately an electrical problem occurred within the first few miles of leaving the lot. Phillip and the staff at Stone Mountain VW were very understanding of my frustrations and concerns. They fixed the problem promptly and free of charge. They even payed for the gas it took to travel back to the dealership to pick up the car (since I don't live in close proximity to the dealership). Needless to say, Phillip and everyone else involved with my purchase went above and beyond my expectations. There are no more problems with the car and I love it! I would greatly recommend Phillip to anyone interested in a new or used vehicle at Stone Mountain VW! More
I have been a loyal customer (5 years) of (then) Dwight Harrison VW but now Stone Mountain VW. I have had three VWs serviced through them. Just recently I had a problem with my VW Bettle battery dying. I Harrison VW but now Stone Mountain VW. I have had three VWs serviced through them. Just recently I had a problem with my VW Bettle battery dying. I brought it in they told me I need a new battery, so I bought a new battery. My old battery was under warranty so they said they would refund the difference back on my card. Well after several phone calls to the dealership they said they were going to refund via check (they did not call me) but then had to call back a few times asking for the check. I finally received my check so a few weeks later the problem continues, they said they could not find anything wrong with it, the problem continues I brought it back they said I need an alternator and alternator bracket which would cost $850. So before getting the alternator replaced, I decided to get a second opinion, had the alternator checked by two mechanics and the alaternator and battery checked out fine, but other mechanics could not pin point why my battery kept dying. I went back to Stone MOuntain VW asking them to check other options becuase I have to independent mechanics saying it is NOT the alternator, they refused to look into other options until I have the alternator repaired. I was livid and decided to go to Jim Ellis, when I walked in described the problem they said they would do several diagnositic test which Stone Mountain VW never offered or conducted. One of the diagnositic test examined how much voltage each componet of my car was using and they found out the car radio was malfunctioning and draining my battery. Jim Ellis unhooked my radio and my car has been working fine every since. They also tested the alternator and battery and they all checked out fine it was the radio. I need to replace the radio but that is minor compared to what Stone Mountain VW told me. I called back to Stone Mountain VW and told them what Jim Ellis said and what turned out to be the problem and they never ever apologized or anything. Of course I asked to speak to service manager but just like every other time I call, "he was unavailable". Before this problem, I had written emails and responded to surveys requesting they do something for their loyal customers, if it is your 5th oil change is free or 20% off or something. One day I asked perks they offer for their loyal customers, he handed me a pen and laughed. I have spent quite a bit of money there over the last 5 years, all my mainteance services for three vehicles and all you want to offer me is a pen. I think not. I will NEVER EVER go back to Stone Mountain VW and Jim Ellis (which is a 45 minute drive from my house) will get my business from now. More
After going to this dealership and having a sub-par experience, I was contacted by the owner to rectify my problems. I went in to give them one more try. I was greeted by Joseph Park and he began to experience, I was contacted by the owner to rectify my problems. I went in to give them one more try. I was greeted by Joseph Park and he began to find out how he could help me. I was taken to look at the cars I wanted and some I didn't consider. We established that I was getting a Passat and I was given every bit of information I could ever want to know on the car. Joseph was personable and friendly, very knowledgeable too. In the end, he talked me into trying something that would fit my family and when I weighed the features he was right. Even though I came in already financed through my bank, I opted to lease for the lower payment and the option of switching cars in the future, hopefully to a CC, lol. My ending experience has turned me into a die hard fan of this dealership and its employees. I even got to know Angela at the front desk. I also bought the car into the service department to get a finish warranty on it because of the color (black) and I got the best treatment in there also. All in all I say give them a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. More
I have a new name. "No more VW". In 2012 we bought our THIRD Jetta TDI. Loved the first two. The 2012 has had a surging issue from the start. We were told it would clear up after the break in p bought our THIRD Jetta TDI. Loved the first two. The 2012 has had a surging issue from the start. We were told it would clear up after the break in period. Wrong! After consulting with two other dealerships we were told its a Jetta issue and nothing can be done. My husband finally got fed up with it after we almost got rear ended leaving a stop light. Its an automatic but it would slow down, buck, and kick like you popped the clutch. Called Stone Mountain. The associate was kind and caring and understanding. He even said he appreciated my husbands patience and would get to the bottom of it ASAP. They also discussed the lemon law and my husband showed interest in purchasing a different vehicle if necessary. Never heard back from him. A few WEEKS later we get a call from the service dept. asking us if our vehicle was in THEIR SHOP! Needless to say my husband was livid. He tried to explain and all they talked about was bringing it in for a SERVICE appointment. He hung up. VW does NOT back their products. And because of that, we bought a 2013 Ford Escape. Sorry Volkswagen. I was a loyal customer, even have several friends who also have bought VWs because of us. But no more. More
I took my car in for repair on 9/16/13, Greg was rude when I dropped car off around 10am and told me it would be 2 hours, I chose to have shuttle drop my off at my house. At noon I called to see if they when I dropped car off around 10am and told me it would be 2 hours, I chose to have shuttle drop my off at my house. At noon I called to see if they knew what was wrong with my car and I was told there were still 2 cars ahead of me and they had not got to my car. I have a child to pick up from school so I asked if he could give me a time frame because of this and he told me that they will get to it when they do and I should not plan for my car to be ready. At 4pm no one had called me back yet and so I called again myself and was transferred to Rose who was even ruder! She would not help me with the warranty information since I did not purchase my extended warranty from this dealership. She said the repair would take one hour and I asked if it could be finished before they close today and she said maybe even though it was two hours before they closed. I had a friend drive up to the dealership at 5pm hoping my car would be ready, Rose informs me that “she called me and my voicemail is not set up I need to set up my voicemail because my car is ready”, she was calling the wrong number, not my cell phone number which I left on the paperwork I filled out when I dropped my car off. I have used this dealership in the past and the people I encounter were nice and friendly. I would never use them again, And I will not recommend them to anyone! More
In 2012 I leased my second VW from (Dwight Harrison) now Stone Mountain VW. I got an email from Greg Black wanting to talk to me about my lease. I called him and he stated that he had a buyer that was look Stone Mountain VW. I got an email from Greg Black wanting to talk to me about my lease. I called him and he stated that he had a buyer that was looking for my specific vehicle and they wanted to buy me out of my lease and to drop by so they could look at the vehicle. While waiting for them to look at the vehicle he said even if it doesn't work out with the buyer they would want it anyway. Turns out the numbers didn't work for them. When I asked him what was the point of contacting me he became quite smug. So basically a waste of my time without an apology or favor of good will. These guys contacted me! Why even contact me if you don't know your figures and you have my contract info! I'm perfectly happy with my lease, but also would walk away if someone really wanted my vehicle. These guys acted like they were trying to do me a favor when it was the other way around! The smiling welcoming faces of Dwight Harrison are long gone. I don't known what these guys were trying to pull with me, but it's bad business. More
Fantastic experience buying a new Jetta for my wife. Sam and everyone else at the dealership were friendly and gave us a great deal on our new Jetta TDI. Within 30 min of sending my initial email where I de and everyone else at the dealership were friendly and gave us a great deal on our new Jetta TDI. Within 30 min of sending my initial email where I detailed exactly what I wanted, Sam was the only one to call back and offer a no-nonsense deal with everything that I required. Several other dealerships called back, but they didn't pay attention to the details that were listed in my email and they tried to play games with the pricing. With Sam there was no-nonsense...just good old fashioned customer service. Best car buying experience I've ever had and I would recommend this dealership to anyone! More
