Because they are really busy!Long story short, I had to take my vehicle back 3- times for the same problem & still have the same codes,( not fixed) now I'm getting the run away for help! I rate this service dept -60.. horrible service! I don't suggest anyone take the vehicle there!!! Be AWARE More

The finance person, Kurt, was really friendly and didn't pressue the upsells too much. What I really liked is they didn't try to drag things out like some dealerships. Unfortunately, I did have to immediately work with the service team because of an inssue in my new car, but they were amazing, got my car done a day early and offered me a loner. I felt really good about it. My only complaint is I am pretty sure when they sold me the car they included a bumper guard and they didn't put it on the car. Otherwise my only knock is against VW for not having more aggressive financing options on new cars to compete with other makes in their price point. More
Extremely Displeased with Stone Mountain VW I recently purchased a 2011 Jetta TDI from Stone Mountain VW, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The car, supposedly thoroughly inspected purchased a 2011 Jetta TDI from Stone Mountain VW, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The car, supposedly thoroughly inspected by their technician before sale, has multiple critical issues. Firstly, the timing belt urgently needs replacement—a critical component that should be addressed every 10 years, a basic knowledge that seems to have been "missed" by the dealer during their inspection. The consequences of neglecting this maintenance could lead to severe engine damage, putting my safety at risk. To exacerbate matters, the local VW dealer quoted an astonishing $2,000 for the timing belt replacement, making Stone Mountain VW's oversight even more egregious. To compound matters, I've already had to spend an additional $125 out of pocket to have the tires rebalanced, a cost that should not have been my responsibility. Moreover, the AC is non-functional, making for an uncomfortable driving experience. The alignment is off, and the tires were not balanced properly, causing violent shaking during a 12-hour drive back home. Adding to my frustration, the engine thermostat is malfunctioning. The local VW dealer has quoted $1,000 for its replacement, compounding the financial burden caused by Stone Mountain VW's lack of diligence. To add insult to injury, Stone Mountain VW had promised a powertrain warranty, but shockingly, they refuse to honor it. Despite my attempts to address these issues, engaging in a week-long back-and-forth with Stone Mountain VW, their response was disheartening—they claimed their technician checked the car thoroughly, yet they offered no solution or assistance. Flying in from Arkansas to pick up this car has been a regrettable decision. The lack of accountability and resolution from Stone Mountain VW, coupled with the failure to honor their promised powertrain warranty, the unexpected $125 expense for tire rebalancing, and the staggering local quotes for essential repairs, has left me extremely dissatisfied. I would strongly caution anyone considering their services to think twice before making a purchase. More
Stone Mountain VW has been my dealership for over 10 years. Their customer service is excellent and I always have a great experience working with them. I don’t think I would ever buy a car anywhere else years. Their customer service is excellent and I always have a great experience working with them. Made service appointment 5 days in advance for oil change, tire rotation and 30,000 mile service, arrived 10 minutes prior to appointment at 8am (8/17/2023). Informed service would take 2 -2 1/2 hour change, tire rotation and 30,000 mile service, arrived 10 minutes prior to appointment at 8am (8/17/2023). Informed service would take 2 -2 1/2 hours and waited for vehicle. After 2 hours and 45 minutes the vehicle had not been moved into bay to begin any service. Service Advisor informed me that they are running behind and would start my vehicle shortly. The vehicles that were there for express service are being taken care of while someone with an appointment the vehicle just sits. My car finally pulled into bay to begin service after 3 hours. At 12:15 informed vehicle is completed, take care of paper work and proceed to my vehicle. The last time I was at Stone Mountain VW for service, oil change and tire rotation, I was pretty sure my tires were not rotated but could not prove it. The night before this service I put a white mark on each of the front rims behind the valve stem so I could assure myself that the tires had been rotated. After signing invoice I checked my tires to ensure of the tire rotation and the tires had NOT been rotated. Returned to service desk to inform my service advisor Raymond Price of the issue. I told Raymond that I marked my rims because the last time I was there, I was sure my tires had not been rotated and this was my way to show that they were rotated. Raymond apologized and said he would talk to technician. Tires rotated and Raymond brought vehicle to me and apologized again. I stated it not his fault but its the integrity of your technicians and dealership that will be affected. How many other customer vehicles are the technicians saying work is being done when its not.
