Buying a car at Stokes Honda was a smooth experience. Just took my 2020 CRV in for oil change and tire rotation. Jeff took great care of me and had me finished in an hour. Just took my 2020 CRV in for oil change and tire rotation. Jeff took great care of me and had me finished in an hour. More
I feel bad after reading all of these reviews, my issue does not seem that bad in comparison. Bought a new 2017 vehicle from them. One week after the basic warranty runs out the battery died. I will take my car elsewhere for service. You just lost a customer over a 100 dollar battery! More

Failure to compensate for faulty/warranted work Please be aware and cautioned of this incredible story I wish to share. I had a $2200 repair done in October 2019 for piston rings for the rear ban Please be aware and cautioned of this incredible story I wish to share. I had a $2200 repair done in October 2019 for piston rings for the rear bank in my Honda Accord by Stokes Honda. I was promised a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty for that work (all gaskets and rings were replaced). Four months and 8,000 miles later, my rear bank leaked when I was 650 miles from home, determined to be a "blown head gasket." The local dealership, Germain Honda in Beavercreek Ohio, performed the repair, a bill well over $1400. The dealerships got into a dispute over whether there were workmanship issues by Stokes. Admittedly, Germain failed to provide direct evidence of this workmanship failure. Germain stated they could not submit it under warranty because of the workmanship. In the end, Stokes denied there were workmanship issues, blamed the other dealership for handling the situation poorly, and told me they would not honor the promise of their warranty, it should be covered by American Honda, not them. American Honda says that since Germain claimed workmanship issues, they cannot pay under warranty. I'm sympathetic to Stokes position; however, instead of taking ownership of the situation as it ultimately was their work, their promise, they left me with the bill knowing I'd have to fight an uphill battle to get compensation. A formal complain through American Honda coordinated with both dealerships, and while everyone (both dealerships and American Honda) agreed I should not have been responsible (admittedly, for different reasons), I had to pay and was told I need to take the matter to court as American Honda has no authority to direct independently owned dealerships, but that since Stokes did confirm they stated the work had a 12-month/12,000 mile warranty, I should pursue using that argument. Fortunately, I'm a disabled, retired military veteran who has the time and resources to ensure this situation is carried through as far as I can take it. What bothers me beyond my personal experience is how many people do not have these resources? How many people could not afford the extra cost of being out of state for more time, travel expenses and lodging expenses, adjusting a work schedule, ensuring further care for their children, and ultimately paying legal expenses? This is especially true today, in the midst of a global pandemic where others may not even have an income and then they have to eat an additional $1400+ bill they never should have? It's truly unconscionable. More

Terrible experience Worst car buying experience ever. Disorganized, aggressive. They had the tags off our trade and were trying to get us signing papers before we had act Worst car buying experience ever. Disorganized, aggressive. They had the tags off our trade and were trying to get us signing papers before we had actually made a financial deal on the car. In the process, they used a self-survey on condition of the trade to push a lower trade price when the condition is already considered in the book value. We came away confused and dazed and are questioning our purchase. We will never purchase from this Honda dealer again. More

DO NOT Bring your car here for service!! So, to start, I’d give this location a 0/5 stars but that’s not an option. They took my car in for an oil change, as it was my first visit to the dealership. Figured I’d give them a chance over my own because we mainly service Toyota and I own a Honda! WRONG. They emptied my car of all remaining oil and forgot/chose not to fill it back in with ANY oil. My 4 month pregnant girlfriend drove that car from North Charleston up on Rivers Ave, to Savannah Highway West Ashley with NO OIL in it. She could have been seriously injured by the car shutting off or overheated engine. I asked for a full refund and they said yes, but have had to call twice, both times they have not completed the process. (IMO on purpose to avoid refunding) I am without the service they provided AND the money on a hap-hazardous visit from Stokes Honda North Charleston. Neither Service Manager Clive, or Heather could solve the issue. Avoid at ALL costs. More

Now, I am confident that I can tru me this is "first and last impression". This type of greeting reassures me my visit will be pleasant and memorable. Now, I am confident that I can trust my dealer in moving forward in taking good care of my car. I believe in good quality service and here's what I've had personal experience on many visit in analyzing and evaluating: first, the General Manager, Mr. Joe Dettrey. I've NEVER seen a GM worked as though he's one of the mechanics. He drives cars into maintenance shop, he's seen running back and forth smiling and saying hello as he's running to customer car. Mr. Dettrey does not sport his title - he works it.!He doesnt mind getting greased - I love this! The service department, dealership contacts, service reps and employees are friendly, phenomenal and awesome! So, if you're at the end of your service department - try mine's - Stokes Honda - highly recommended. Lillie M. Jenkins More
