I dropped my car off a day early for a recall appointment at 8am the next morning. I waited all day for any communication. finally called at 4:50 to be told it had been ready for hours. fine, whatever. commu at 8am the next morning. HOWEVER I ASKED THEM _SPECIFICALLY_ TO CHECK THE BRAKES WHILE IT WAS THERE. "oh your brakes are fine blah blah blah aftermarket rotors and your pads are good" i get in the car and begin to back out to leave the lot. i tap the brakes and hear *CLANK*. pulled forward *CLANK* same thing. turns out i have a stripped caliper bolt and the caliper itself is compromised. this could have been easily replaced while it was at Stohlman Subaru of Sterling. The fact that the brakes cannot be tapped without hearing a somewhat alarming *CLANK* concerns me greatly. My dog reacted to the sound, but the people in the literal Stohlman Subaru garage seem to lack this same ability. The next shop assumed it was a stripped caliper bolt upon hearing the sound and confirmed it was a stripped bolt within 20min of investigating it. Stop stroking this dealership's ego just because they can change your oil and swap your coolant. More

Dont go to Stohlman Subaru for service. They will rip you off!! Dear Stohlman Subarru, I just had my mother-in-law's 2019 Forester serviced at your service department. The vehicle is leased from Subar off!! Dear Stohlman Subarru, I just had my mother-in-law's 2019 Forester serviced at your service department. The vehicle is leased from Subaru and I brought it in for a recall and a 12k checkup. I go to pick up the car and I see the bill was for $222.25!!! Which totally shocked me. Basically for an oil change, tire rotation and air filter replacement. $222.25!!!! This is total highway robbery. The kind gentleman that helped me check out was very nice and courteous (don’t remember his name but a young man in his late 20’s, slim with brown hair. I complained about the price and was also told the $75 coupon I had didn’t apply to the charges since that was for. 30k service. We went through the invoice and I saw labor cost of circa $110+ (double ouch) for an oil change, tire rotation and air filter change!!! Totally outrageous. I also used your shuttle service which was very nice. The service rep who first helped me “Brittany” wouldn’t return my calls, to arrange for your shuttle to pick me up I had to call multiple times finally pleading with your receptionist on the phone not to forward my call to the service department since all my previous calls were unanswered. I did leave a voice mail on 1 June (in afternoon) for Brittany but never got a call back, I left messages with your receptionist during late afternoon on 1 June, never got a call back. I subsequently called numerous times on 2 June and finally got someone on the line who could help me (your receptionist was very nice). Anyhow you all have lost my business for life. I usually deal with Dulles Subaru(I also own a Subaru) but your dealership is closer to my house and much more convenient. That said, I'm done with Stohlman. You all give dealerships a bad name. At least at Dulles subaru they will work with me on most things (Car sales and service- I have purchased two cars from them in the past). Regretfully, Don More

Once again I had a stellar service appointment. They did the oil change and realized the tires had very little tread left. They tell you what you need to know. In my most recent service, I commented that my brakes may need attention. Feedback was that they are wearing normally and have about 50% of life left. Great service. Daniel did everything I asked for and also took the initiative to check for recalls. He found one I hadn’t been alerted to yet and fixed it. My car was ready in less time. I suggest you maintain the bikes so people can use them. The bike I like to use needs some work - seat is loose, adjust brakes, inflate tires. More
