We choose a pre-owned car on their website and it wasn't ready yet. David got it through inspections, detailing and all else very quickly for us. Within less than 24 hours we were test driving it, and 48 hours after finding it, we bought it. Stohlman worked around our schedule, priced the car competitively, and gave us a fair trade in. When we came in to buy, we were out the door less than two hours later with our new car. I highly recommend Stohlman in Herndon and David. Great Dealer I had a great buying experience at Stohlman Subaru of Herndon. Prior to contacting Stohlman, I had already shopped around a bit, picked out the exact I had a great buying experience at Stohlman Subaru of Herndon. Prior to contacting Stohlman, I had already shopped around a bit, picked out the exact car and specifications I wanted, and contacted a number of dealers by e-mail to see how low a price I could get elsewhere. Then I e-mailed Stohlman Subaru of Herndon, which is near my home, to see if they could do even a little better. I was soon contacted by Iman, and he was able to offer me a fantastic price and even threw in some extras (such as a free loaner when I get the car serviced and free inspections for life). I found it a pleasure to work with Iman as he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I set up an appointment to stop by and purchase the car and complete the paperwork. When I arrived, I was given first class treatment by Iman, who answered all of my questions and showed me the car, which was exactly as represented. I then met Michael in the Finance Department to complete the paperwork, which was handled very quickly and efficiently. There was no sales pressure and no surprises. It could not have been a better buying experience. More

The car was everything I needed in a car that I wasn't in the market for: good mileage, amazing drive, fast pickup that would let me zip through traffic and great safety features. I met with Fernando Avila who was so not just trying to sell me a car. As a subaru owner himself, he had great recommendations of features to consider. He was quick to return my calls/texts/emails and was flexible with my busy schedule. He was able to quickly locate a car with the features I wanted, made the actual purchase run smooth, took extra time to walk me through how all the different features work and even helped schedule an accessory installation and first oil change. In all the cars I have purchased, he was by far the best. He is a true Asset to Stohlman Subaru of Herndon and I would highly recommend him! Some dealerships just do things better! SALES EXPERIENCE – was unlike other dealerships I visited. Where other dealers pressured and asked the typical “what’s it going to take to put you in SALES EXPERIENCE – was unlike other dealerships I visited. Where other dealers pressured and asked the typical “what’s it going to take to put you in a car today” there was no pressure at all. Only a very consultative process of reviewing options and features in their model lineup to ensure I found a car that best fit my particular needs. My sales rep Vic was knowledgeable which is rare today. As I searched for cars at other dealers, I was amazed at the lack of product knowledge that other salespeople had, but that was not the case at this dealership. Vic absolutely knew his product, was proud to represent it, and he also had high praise for the company he worked for and his coworkers. TRADE IN – was typical in negotiation, but what was different at this dealership, was that I was not low balled on the value of my trade by thousands of dollars. Did they give me exactly what I wanted the first time out, no, but they were close enough that I wanted to continue working with them, unlike other dealerships that would insult you with trade figures that were many of thousands of dollars less than actual value. We were able to easily work out figures on my trade that were reasonable. MANAGEMENT – was supportive to the sales staff, were not adversarial, and did not insist on the lengthy back and forth negotiation process. They got involved early in the negotiation process and laid figures out in a professional manner without pressuring. Tom was the manager we worked with and he was very accommodating. FINANCE – arrangements were easy and Michael worked hard with the various lenders he had contacts with to find financing arrangements that worked for us. Like the sales process, there was no pressure to buy products we did not want. He reviewed options available to us and such as service contracts and gap insurance and if there was something we were not interested in, he did not try and force us to purchase something we did not want. WHAT DID NOT GO RIGHT – There was a very small dent in the car that was not seen at delivery but was obvious when I pulled it in my garage and the lighting changed. I called my salesperson Vic when I got home and he was concerned. I have no reason to believe that the dealership will not take care of this. In the next few days. Also the interior was not as clean as I wanted with smudge marks on the interior and glass. There were also some missing grocery bag hooks in the cargo area that we will need to obtain. If I had anything to complain about was the lengthy wait to take delivery. We had a 10:30AM appointment to take delivery of our car and we did not get out of there till 3 hours later. OVERALL – I would absolutely recommend this dealership to others. The experience was great, and I trust this dealership! The teamwork between the salesperson Vic, Tom the manager, and Michael the finance manager was amazing. Buying a car is probably the second biggest item a consumer will purchase and while it can’t be totally stress free, some dealerships just do things better than others. Stohlman Herndon Subaru is one of the better dealerships I have ever purchased a car from and I would encourage you to look here for your next car. More
