Dealer has great prices and people. They seem to take care of everyone that walks in the door the same way, doesn't matter if you are a college student or a business owner. Have been going there since I care of everyone that walks in the door the same way, doesn't matter if you are a college student or a business owner. Have been going there since I went to PSU and send my coworkers there now. Once they finish redoing the showroom the place should be really nice. More
Stocker Chevrolet is the ONLY place I go to buy a car. I know that I can trust them to get me the best deal and the service is outstanding. I have gotten two cars so far from them and I love(d) them both. know that I can trust them to get me the best deal and the service is outstanding. I have gotten two cars so far from them and I love(d) them both. One thing that really impressed me is how they always seem to find exactly what I ask for. When I traded in my first car for my current car, I feel that the trade in value they offered was fair. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone who is looking to buy a quality car, at a fair value. It is true Gene Stocker IS a great, great guy! More
I went to Stocker for the second time last summer in order to replace my Chevy (bought in 2001 and ran great for almost 10 years). This time, I thought I would get a similar car due to limited budget, order to replace my Chevy (bought in 2001 and ran great for almost 10 years). This time, I thought I would get a similar car due to limited budget, but I was very pleased that Stocker worked within my price range AND found me a great 2008 Subaru. The car has been running fine, and I was very happy with the service. Everyone at Stocker was responsive to my questions, and they handled the sale quickly and efficiently. I will definitely visit them again for car number 3 in ten years! More

This is from a twenty year customer and a neighbor of the owner and applies to service experience over the past two years. Deceptive service and complete lack of response to written complaints to the servic owner and applies to service experience over the past two years. Deceptive service and complete lack of response to written complaints to the service manager and to the owner. It appears that Stocker management just doesn't care! Comments concern a 1997 Chev Silverado truck purchased and serviced by Stocker until these incidents. Note annual mileage averages 5000-6000 miles/year During a previous state inspection I was advised that I would need brakes, front and rear, next time. I was also advised that I would need an O2 sensor replaced. I brought the vehicle back for that and supplied one sensor. They called later stating that they couldn't use what I provided and that both sensors would neen to be replaced. The price quoted was totally rediculous, so I declined. Later in the year the truck engine died and would not restart when I was near home, so it was towed to the house and started fine the next day. Being concerned about an intermittent fuel pump, I took it to Stocker and ask that the pump be checked and replaced because I didn't want to have a repeat occurrence. Service advised me, $100 later, that there was nothing wrong with the fuel pump and they couldn't find anything else wrong. So, I went on my way. Several weeks later, on the way back from New Jersey, the truck again died. I had it towed back to State College and then to another service shop. They replaced the fuel pump and performed PA state inspection on the vehicle. Neither the brakes nor the O2 sensors required replacement as I had been advised by Stocker a year ago. I wrote two letters, first to the Service Manager and later to the Owner expressing my concern, inconvenience, expense and frustration. Both letters were totally ignored - not even a phone call. Suffice to say, I have not returned to Stocker. More
They are fake liars and will not get the job done. They will give you the worst excuse and advice if you point them out on their faults. I will NEVER take my car there and I do not recommend parents to le will give you the worst excuse and advice if you point them out on their faults. I will NEVER take my car there and I do not recommend parents to let their children take their car there if they are students. I had the worst experience of my life! I was hesitant to go there because of the bad reviews, but I was told that only a dealer would have the part I need for my car if it had to be replaced. I should have trusted my instincts and not have gone. I could not have been anymore upset....NEVER AGAIN! More
I moved to State College, Pa. last year 2009, I have a Malibu Chevrolet and have always serviced my Malibu with a Chevrolet dealership. The first time I went to Stocker Chevrolet they told me I needed ti Malibu Chevrolet and have always serviced my Malibu with a Chevrolet dealership. The first time I went to Stocker Chevrolet they told me I needed tires. I said okay the next time I come in for oil change I'll get them. The next time I came in they said I didn't need tires, they said who said you needed tires. The next time I went for service they said I need tires again so I got two tires they put them in front without rotating them and they said I would need two more for back. I said I would get them when I had inspection, When I went back for inspection they again said I didn't need tires in rear. I made my appointment for this inspection a month in advance and had to wait past my appointment time and while I waited I walked back in the lot and a technician was speeding back in the lot where I was walking and slamed on the brakes when he saw me. I told him that was my car he was riding in he said he forgot something in his car and that he was late. I wasn't too happy with that incident. On the bottom of my bill they checked that I was completely satisfied, I was not satisfied. I have no confidence in the Stocker dealership. I was planning to buy a new car, but I do not want to purchase a car from Stocker dealership in State college, Pa. I also will not return there for service. They charged me $400.00 for some rod connected to tires which I never had to do before and also wanted to charge me $400.00 to eliminate some king of noise. I said no. That was the last time I was there. More
I have been very pleased with all of my business dealings with Stockers over the years. They have always treated me with respect and there isn't any place else I have gone to to buy a car or have my car ser with Stockers over the years. Employees are pleasant but my chevy had so many problems that were incorrectly diagnosed, I ended up wasting a lot of time and money and it never was diagnosed right until after my warantee expired. So I tr that were incorrectly diagnosed, I ended up wasting a lot of time and money and it never was diagnosed right until after my warantee expired. So I traded it in at another dealer for a non-chevy vehicle and I no longer need to deal with it. More
Dealership and sales people were very friendly. They were willing to work with my situation. My car had just died and I needed a car and found one I really liked. At first I was feeling bad because I didn' willing to work with my situation. My car had just died and I needed a car and found one I really liked. At first I was feeling bad because I didn't think I could afford it. After talking through the situation and the kindness of Mr. Stocker we found a way that I could afford the car. Other dealerships did not have this kind of custmer service. I would recommend them to family and friends because of the wonderful service I reveived. More
