Best service advisor on the planet! My service advisor, Nik Argiro, is the primary reason I continue to only bring my car to Stivers Subaru of Decatur. This man has gone and continues to go above and beyond the call of duty. I don’t know if he has been certified as a mechanic but he has accurately diagnosed every single issue I have had with my Forester. I have metastic Brest cancer and have MANY doctors appointments. Nik ALWAYS makes sure that I have a loaner car so that I don’t have to wait in the waiting room. He truly is the reason I’ll continue to buy Subarus. I trust him totally and completely to do the best by me and my car. More
Car repair After hitting a pothole and blowing out a tire , I had my outback towed on Sunday 03/11/18 to Stivers Subaru . I filled out the service enveloped for After hitting a pothole and blowing out a tire , I had my outback towed on Sunday 03/11/18 to Stivers Subaru . I filled out the service enveloped for my advisor Harry Loui and put into lockbox. Monday morning around 7:30 am. From Harry Loui telling me they took the car into service and we’re able to save my rim but had to replace the tire. Wow I was very happy with the way my outback was serviced . Stivers Subaru rocks. Great service dept! I never thought I'd use the service dept of a dealership vs finding my own independent mechanic, but Subarus are unique creatures and I feel like they I never thought I'd use the service dept of a dealership vs finding my own independent mechanic, but Subarus are unique creatures and I feel like they require Subaru experts. I've been going to Stivers for work on my 1998 Subaru Forester for many years, and they have helped me keep my baby running; she's now at 265,000 miles. They are honest about how urgent (or non urgent) a repair is, and they always offer a discount coupon online for work. This past weekend, I called to find out what grade of Dexron I needed to top off my power steering fluid, and Nick, one of the service reps, told me to come on by and he'd top it for me. Now I can't promise he'll do this for you, but he was nice enough to do it at no charge! He was able to determine what was leaking, and the engine oil was leaking too, but he suggested that I just keep an eye on both and if it's slow enough, to just top them off when needed. He could've convinced me that these were urgent and expensive repairs, but he didn't, and I appreciate that. More
Okay Buying Experience I purchased my vehicle from this dealership because of price and proximity to my home. The buying experience was average and mediocre at best. I have no real complaints with the sales portion of my experience. It was "just okay" but definitely could have been better. Though, I did catch one of their sales managers laughing when he was alerted to my interest in the car I was purchasing. I guess he thought I couldn't afford it. Very unprofessional and just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. There was also an instance where an older gentleman with white hair walked away from me in the middle of a conversation. I don't know if he is suffering from dementia but I was very taken aback by this gesture. That being said, the reason I'm writing this unfavorable review is because of my experience with their service department after the purchase. When I returned to have major work done to the car, I was treated as though I was an inconvenience. One of the service desk employees, a female, was extremely rude. I didn't catch her name but I imagine anyone who has encountered her will agree she is unpleasant to deal with. She interrupted me numerous times, tried to talk over me, and then did not listen when I finally got a chance to speak. I was forced to repeat myself several times. There are other similar reviews regarding the service department on other sites. I would recommend staying far away from this dealership and especially the service department. I ended up driving 40 miles to Troncalli Subaru in Cumming, GA. They were a dream to do business with. More

I had bought my vehicle from another dealer and was coming up on my 36,000 miles and wanted to make sure their was nothing that need to be done before my bumper to bumper warranty was up.
