On 10/18/08, my husband and I went to Stevenson Toyota West hoping to be able to trade in our 3 week old 2009 Toyota Tacoma for a 2008 Toyota Tundra. We were helped by salesman Kevin Waker. After many h West hoping to be able to trade in our 3 week old 2009 Toyota Tacoma for a 2008 Toyota Tundra. We were helped by salesman Kevin Waker. After many hours of negotiating, we left the dealership without a deal. Later in the afternoon, Mike Myers, one of the sales manager, called and asked how they can gain our business. We laid out the terms: $860.00 even a month, including taxes and Gap insurance on the Tundra, and taking the Lojack from the Tacoma and installing into the Tundra, and $500 down for Toyota 0% financing special. Mike said yes so after a week, on 10/25/08, we went back and signed the papers for the deal. We were happy about everything until 10/31/08, when Derek, the finance manager, called and said that Toyota qualified us for the 0% interest financing but we needed another $8100 down! What kind of deal is that? They call this being qualified for thei special 0% financing deal? No, the bottom line was, we did not qualify for their special finance unless we came up with another $8100, which was the amount left on our Tacoma that Stevenson Toyota West had to pay off to sell us the Tundra. So really, what Stevenson Toyota West is saying is that we don't want to be liable for your Tacoma, we only want to give you $25000 for a trade-in and you need to come up with the balance to pay it off, through the same bank Toyota Financial Services! before they will finance the Tundra. Well, we don't have that kind of money, and if we did, there would have been many other things to do with $8100 before putting it down on a depreciative vehicle for sure! Anyway, we returned the Tundra on 11/1/08 to find out that we just lost the $500 that we put down on the Tundra because of fees. Fees that accrue because the car was returned. Well, the fees would have been legitimate if we returned the vehicle after we were approved for the loan, but no, we were not approved for the loan because of the high down payment Stevenson Toyota West requested, but Derek refused to return our money, citing the disclosures that we signed regarding the fees involve if the vehicle gets returned. What choice did we have? We coudn't afford $8100 so of course, we had to return the Tundra! Is Toyota so hungry for money these days that they have to cheat their customers out of money just to make some money? I mean, Derek and the dealership must have known way before 10/31 that we couldn't qualify for the loan unless we put down an enormous amount, why wait until a Friday night to call us and tell us? Because they wanted to keep the $500 that we saved up so hard to give them for their vehicle! They knew that we were an easy prey for them because we are minorities and they fully took advantage of the situation. I feel bad for whoever walks into Stevenson Toyota West and gets treated the same as we did because we are sure that there are many out there but they do not have a voice to be heard, so let us be the first ones to shout our discontentment at a dealership who misleads people in hope of making a few bucks in an economy where buying a new car is not top priority anymore. Shame on Stevenson Toyota West for having these kind of people run their business. More

Stevenson Toyota West sales and management members are indeed shady and very misrepresentative of their products. While buying a certified used truck on the lot I was not informed of the many missing acc indeed shady and very misrepresentative of their products. While buying a certified used truck on the lot I was not informed of the many missing accessories that were advertised on the window sticker. Instead of being upfront and honest about this vehicle missing things like a remote keyless entry they waited until I had signed the papers before handing over the keys for myself to "notice" it wasn't there. After speaking to numerous higher ups all they could say was "read the fine print." At the bottom of the window sticker there is fine print that says the "It is the sole responsibility of the customer to verify the existence of any option or condition of the equipment listed." How low can these guys be? They are as far from honest and trustworthy as a car dealership can get. They couldn't even answer my questions on the missing aspects of the truck "I" did notice. I notified the better business bureau on this matter, for the simple fact that their sales service needs to be addressed! More

They put n change. I decided to get 30000 mile check up. Buy the time they finished with me, it cost me $736.00, but that was with a FREE oil change. They put new SPARK PLUG'S in st 30000 miles. WhenI left there, I was bent completely over. I think the service dept is a real rip off. I don't blame the help, I blame the management. More
The sales process was very difficult and they repeatedly made "mistakes" in pricing in their favor. Also pressured us to buy add-ons, some of which were added to our invoice without our consent, and we had made "mistakes" in pricing in their favor. Also pressured us to buy add-ons, some of which were added to our invoice without our consent, and we had to ask for them to be removed. The service department has repeatedly been denigrating towards us, and has overcharged us for service on more than one occasion. More
I went to Stevenson with the intent of buying a new truck and trading in my used vehicle. I was up front with them by informing them I had a trade in and had to know what I could get for it before I would d and trading in my used vehicle. I was up front with them by informing them I had a trade in and had to know what I could get for it before I would decide to buy there. They took my truck for a test drive and informed me they could not give me the value for all the after market parts that I had put on, but they would be willing to give me $29,000 for a trade in. I then test drove a new Tundra and told my sales person I would think about it. The next day I went back and informed they I intended to buy the tundra priced at about $41,000. The sales manager then asked me what it would take for me to buy the Tundra right now. We finally came to a price of $38,750 he wrote down that price and the price of $29,000 for my trade. He had me sign saying it was a commitment between Stevenson and I that I would buy the vehicle for $38,750 and I would get 29,000 for my trade rolling over $231.00. He then informed me that we would have to complete the proper paper work and the truck was mine. He then later came back and informed me that they would not honor the aggrement and that they would roll over $3,000 from my trade in, because the Tundra was a hot seller and they could get more from another customer. I left and contacted the uppers that be and I was informed that it was a bit unethical and they would talk to the sales manager about it, but that they would not honor there contract. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM STEVENSON TOYOTA WEST!!!! THEY ARE THE THE REASON PEOPLE SAY CAR DEALERS ARE SHADY AND TRY AND RIP PEOPLE OFF! More
Price agreement was straightforeward and fair. Michael was very friendly, helpful, and great to work with. I would have given 5's across the board if the financing guy didn't try to sell me the alarm sys was very friendly, helpful, and great to work with.
