I began talking to Denny through e-mail and originally I was looking for a used FJ cruiser with a solid paint scheme and, unlike other dealerships that I contacted, Denny wrote back saying "You bet, I'll ke was looking for a used FJ cruiser with a solid paint scheme and, unlike other dealerships that I contacted, Denny wrote back saying "You bet, I'll keep my eyes open and keep you posted." I felt no "pressure". Well my plans changed a lot, as I was deciding what to do, and in this process some of the other Toyota dealerships I had contacted began to lose interest in me because they thought "this guy isn't serious", or "this is a lot of work." I thought about just buying a new one and seeing what it would cost to equip it with the extras I wanted versus buying a used one with little or no warranty left but already equipped with the off road extras. So I sent out an additional email to all the Toyota dealerships in Denver just to see who would work with me. I asked that, in addition to keeping an eye out for a used special edition, also that I wanted to know how much it would cost to buy a new FJ, paint the roof green to match, 4" lift kit, warn rear bumper, fabfours front bumper with warn winch, off road lighting... etc... Some of the other Toyota dealerships I contacted quit writing back to me after I sent this email out and one other dealership wrote back, but instead of helping me, the message consisted of "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO STOP IN, WE NEED TO BUILD THIS FJ TOGETHER IN THE SHOWROOM." Theres the pressure. OK heres what I'm thinking at this point... I'm already educated on the FJ and I know exactly what I want, I have test driven them, watch tons of videos, and own a 2010 4 runner with the same 4 wheel drive system, and all I want to know is how much it would cost to buy a new FJ and parts and labor for the extras, so telling me recurringly that I need to stop in to get this information when its a 5 hour drive to Denver from Wright WY wasn't really helping me make a decision, not to mention he spelled my name wrong when he could have took 2 more seconds to look at how my name was spelled and spelled it correctly... It doesn't offend me, but its a peek into what kind of person youre dealing with. He seemed anxious to sell, but not willing to put forth any effort. He seemed pushy and his messages didn't answer any of my questions, they just became annoying because he insisted I needed to drive to Denver to get this information, so I quit writing to him. Denny went the extra mile and believed in me the whole way. I could tell that some of the others I emailed thought I wasn't a serious buyer, but Denny remained positive and he ended up with the sale. As far as prices go, I only had 2 other Toyota dealership in Denver email me back with prices of the accessories and one dealership wanted almost double the cost of what Denny offered me. They told me rock rails were around $988 and it was the same with everything else. Denny was very professional and also amicable (friendly factor). I never once felt pressured to do something or buy something extra that I didn't want. Instead of the "talk fast and sign them up for everything" scheme, he explained everything to me and then asked what I wanted. He was polite, professional, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. He also gave me his phone number and offered to help me out any way he could in the future with accessories, even after the sale was already complete. I will return to Denny for all my future purchases and recommend him to any friends interested in purchasing a Toyota. More

Denny was great to work with. He was very courtious and treated me with respect. I didn't feel pressured at all as in with some other dealers. I wanted a brand new Highlander and I am paying with a check (easy transaction). Call up the dealership and they directed me to Klaus (sales representative). Klaus is absolutely awesome with his professionalism, knowledge, and customer service. I did feel like I was in the dealership for more time than what was needed (about 3.5 hours total). Next time, I will do the deal over the phone and have them get the paperwork already done and then when I show up to the dealership - I will only have to sign 10-20 papers give them the check and out the door I go with the new vehicle(30 minutes max). I felt like the price we negotiated on the floor was the total price, but then when I go to the finance manager I had to pay for like 3 extra things, sales tax, and before you know it that initial price jumped up $4,000 dollars! My mistake this time, but next time I will make sure all the extras and tax will be on that paper when we negotiate the total/final price on the sales floor. More

We purchased a 2011 Venza at Stevinson Toyota West in December 2011, after test-driving 2 Venzas (new/used), one Highlander, and an FJ Cruiser TRD. As part of this transaction, we traded in a Scion xB t December 2011, after test-driving 2 Venzas (new/used), one Highlander, and an FJ Cruiser TRD. As part of this transaction, we traded in a Scion xB that we purchased at Stevinson Toyota West in 2006. Our purchase was made with the assistance of sales person Will Jessup who was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the vehicle evaluation and purchase process. Leading up to purchase, I visited STW a total of four times, viewing and test-driving cars with Will. I also visited several other dealerships in the area and viewed competitor makes and models as part of my research. As with our Scion purchase at Stevinson Toyota West in 2006, we experienced top-notch service from all dealership personnel during our Venza purchase in 2011. Will Jessup is the perfect salesperson for someone like me, who likes to auto shop slowly and carefully. I ask lots of questions and am not upset when the answer is not immediately available, but I notice when salespeople know their product and are consistently accurate in their statements. Will fits perfectly in that category, and was very patient while I did my research. I received no pressure to purchase a vehicle from Will or other staff on any visit, no matter the level of customer traffic at the time. I did receive a good deal of balanced, sensible sales advice from Will regarding new vs. used considerations, purchasing incentives and deadlines, trim & option costs and availability, and resale considerations. All delivered in a polite, friendly, and professional manner. Test-driving four vehicles was a breeze. The Venza purchase was as quick and painless as it gets, same as our experiences during the purchase of our Scion at STW in 2006. Negotiations over vehicle price and trade in value were professional throughout. I negotiated with Will and a dealership negotiator, and we finished up in about an hour. Based on my market research, the purchase price was very fair and we received solid money for our Scion trade-in. I had about 10 minutes to collect my thoughts before meeting with the finance agent, who was another very congenial and helpful gentleman. He described several warranty packages, service packages, and other purchase add-ons, offering us several combinations at discounted rates, but I never felt any pressure to buy. Paperwork was finished up quickly. Our salesperson Will Jessup checked in on us periodically and entertained my 6-year old son while the finance meeting was underway. What can I say? Stevinson Toyota West knows how to deliver top notch service in every way. After financing, Will provided us with a thorough new vehicle tour. When we were done, he graciously thanked us again for our business, and requested that we call him personally if we have any questions or issues in the future. My wife used to do business for the Stevinson brothers 33 years ago when she worked at a bank in Golden. The salesman was Jami Coleman. I talked to him, explained what I wanted, and he pointed us to a Tundra that fit our needs exactly, and at a great price. We were so well pleased with our experience then, that when we decided to buy a Highlander last week, we went straight back to Jami. We called, and Jami came in, even though it was his day off. We explained what we wanted, and he showed us what they had on the lot. The particular Highlander we wanted was not there, but Jami checked and found that it was due for delivery to Stevinson within less than 2 weeks. We made a deposit. This morning, Jami called to let us know that our car had come in. When we arrived, they did an appraisal on our trade-in and made us a very fair offer. They finished preparing our new Highlander while we were doing the paper work, and the entire transaction was done very efficiently. Jay Kramer in the finance office handled our transaction very efficiently. Before we left, James Russel in service stopped to talk to us and explained the service plan. I am sold on Toyota as a brand, and we will definitely go back to Jami Coleman at Stevenson the next time we are looking for a vehicle. More
